Shapatayah (Shephatiah) the ban (son) of Mathan (Mattan), and Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Pashachawar (Pashhur), and Yawakal (Jucal) the ban (son) of Shalamayah (Shelemiah), and Pashachawar (Pashhur) the ban (son) of Malakayah (Malchijah), shamai (hearken / hear) the dabarayam (words) that Yaramayah (Jeremiah) dabar (word / matter) to all the im (nation / people), amar (said),
“Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), ‘He who yashab (inhabit/dwell) in this iyar (city) shall mawath (death) by the charab (sword), by the raib (famine), and by the dabar (word / matter); but he who yatzaa (go out / come out) forth to the Kashaday (Chaldeans) shall chayah (live), and his napash (soul) shall be to him for a shalal (prey), and he shall chayah (live).’
Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), ‘This iyar (city) shall nathan (give) be nathan (give) into the yad (hand) of the chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) of the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon), and he shall lakad (take) it.’”
Then the sharayam (princes) amar (said) to the malak (king), “Please let this ayash (man / husband) be put to mawath (death); because he rapah (weakens) the yaday (hands) of the mawath (death) of malachamah (war) who shaar (remain) in this iyar (city), and the yaday (hands) of all the im (nation / people), in dabar (word / matter) such dabarayam (words) to them: for this ayash (man / husband) doesn't darash (seek) the shalawam (peace / safety) of this im (nation / people), but the rai (hurt).”
Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the malak (king) amar (said), “Behold, he is in your yad (hand); for the malak (king) is not he who yakal (can) dabar (word / matter) anything against you.”
Then laqach (take / seize) they Yaramayah (Jeremiah), and shalak (cast) him into the bawar (dungeon) of Malakayah (Malchijah) the king's ban (son), that was in the chatzar (court) of the guard: and they shalach (send) down Yaramayah (Jeremiah) with chabalayam (cords). In the bawar (dungeon) there was no mayam (Waters), but tayat (mire); and Yaramayah (Jeremiah) tabai (sank) in the tayat (mire).
Now when Ibadamalak (Ebedmelech) the Kawashay (Ethiopian), a sarayas (eunuch), who was in the malak (king) bayath (house), shamai (hearken / hear) that they nathan (give) put Yaramayah (Jeremiah) in the bawar (dungeon) (the malak (king) then sitting in the shair (gate) of Banayamayan (Benjamin)),
Ibadamalak (Ebedmelech) yatzaa (go out / come out) forth out of the malak (king) bayath (house), and dabar (word / matter) to the malak (king), amar (said),
“My Adawan () the malak (king), these haraiw (men) have done raii (wicked / dysfunctional / evil) in all that they ishah (make) done to Yaramayah (Jeremiah) the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy), whom they have shalak (cast) into the bawar (dungeon); and he is likely to mawath (death) in the thachath (under) where he is, panayam (face) of the raib (famine); for there is no more lacham (bread) in the iyar (city).”
Then the malak (king) tzawah (commanded) Ibadamalak (Ebedmelech) the Kawashay (Ethiopian), amar (said), “laqach (take / seize) from here shalawashayam (thirty) zah (this / that / these) with you, and ilah (go up / offer) up Yaramayah (Jeremiah) the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) out of the bawar (dungeon), before he mawath (death).”
So Ibadamalak (Ebedmelech) laqach (take / seize) the anashayam (men) with him, and bawaa (bring) into the bayath (house) of the malak (king) under the awatzar (treasury), and laqach (take / seize) there rags and worn-out garments, and shalach (send) them down by chabalayam (cords) into the bawar (dungeon) to Yaramayah (Jeremiah).
Ibadamalak (Ebedmelech) the Kawashay (Ethiopian) amar (said) to Yaramayah (Jeremiah), “shawam (place / establish / appoint) now these rags and worn-out garments under your armpits under the chabalayam (cords).” Yaramayah (Jeremiah) ishah (make) so.
So they mashak (drew) up Yaramayah (Jeremiah) with the chabalayam (cords), and ilah (go up / offer) him up out of the bawar (dungeon): and Yaramayah (Jeremiah) yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the chatzar (court) of the guard.
Then Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the malak (king) shalach (send), and laqach (take / seize) Yaramayah (Jeremiah) the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) to him into the shalayashay (third) mabawaa (entry) that is in the bayath (house) of Yahawah (): and the malak (king) amar (spoke) to Yaramayah (Jeremiah), “I will shaal (ask) you something. Kachad (hide) nothing from me.”
Then Yaramayah (Jeremiah) amar (said) to Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah), “If I nagad (declare) it to you, will you not mawath (death) put me to mawath (death)? And if I give you yaitz (counsel), you will not shamai (hearken / hear) to me.”
So Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the malak (king) shabai (swear / take oath) secretly to Yaramayah (Jeremiah), amar (spoke), “As Yahawah () chay (life), who ishah (make) us this napash (soul), I will not put you to mawath (death), neither will I nathan (give) you into the yad (hand) of these ishah (make) who baqash (seek) your napash (soul).”
Then Yaramayah (Jeremiah) amar (spoke) to Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah), “Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of tzabaawath (armies), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel): ‘If you will yatzaa (go out / come out) forth to the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon's) sharay (princes), then your napash (soul) shall chayah (live), and this iyar (city) shall not be sharap (burned) with ash (fire); and you shall chayah (live), and your bayath (house).
But if you will not yatzaa (go out / come out) forth to the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon's) sharay (princes), then shall this iyar (city) be nathan (give) into the yad (hand) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans), and they shall sharap (burn) it with ash (fire), and you shall not malat (escape) out of their yad (hand).’”
Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the malak (king) amar (said) to Yaramayah (Jeremiah), “I am daag (afraid) of the Yahawaday (Jews) who are napal (fall / be cast down) away to the Kashaday (Chaldeans), lest they nathan (give) me into their yad (hand), and they ilal (mock) me.”
But Yaramayah (Jeremiah) amar (spoke), “They shall not nathan (give) you. Shamai (hearken / hear), I beg you, the qawal (sound / voice) of Yahawah (), in that which I dabar (word / matter) to you: so it shall be yatab (well) with you, and your napash (soul) shall chayah (live).
But if you maan (refuse) to yatzaa (go out / come out) forth, this is the dabar (word / matter) that Yahawah () raah (see) shown me:
‘Behold, all the nashayam (women) who are shaar (left) in the malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) bayath (house) shall be yatzaa (go out / come out) forth to the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon's) sharay (princes), and those women shall amar (said), “Your familiar friends have sawath (set) you on, and yakal (have) prevailed over you. Your ragal (feet / foot) are tabai (sunk) in the batz (mire), they have sawag (turned) away achawar (back).”
They shall yatzaa (go out / come out) out all your wives and your ban (son) to the Kashaday (Chaldeans); and you shall not malat (escape) out of their yad (hand), but shall be thapash (taken) by the yad (hand) of the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon): and you shall cause this iyar (city) to be sharap (burned) with ash (fire).’”
Then Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) amar (said) to Yaramayah (Jeremiah), “Let no ayash (man / husband) yadai (know) of these dabarayam (words), and you shall not mawath (death).
But if the sharayam (princes) shamai (hearken / hear) that I have dabar (word / matter) with you, and they bawaa (bring) to you, and amar (said) you, ‘nagad (declare) to us now what you have dabar (word / matter) to the malak (king); don't kachad (hide) it from us, and we will not put you to mawath (death); also what the malak (king) dabar (word / matter) to you:’
Then you shall amar (said) them, ‘I napal (fall / be cast down) my thachanah (supplication) panayam (face) the malak (king), that he would not cause me to shawab (turn) to Yahawanathan (Jonathan's) bayath (house), to mawath (death) there.’”
Then bawaa (bring) all the sharayam (princes) to Yaramayah (Jeremiah), and shaal (asked) him; and he nagad (told) them according to all these dabarayam (words) that the malak (king) had tzawah (commanded). So they charash (left) off speaking with him; for the dabar (word / matter) was not shamai (hearken / hear).
So Yaramayah (Jeremiah) stayed in the chatzar (court) of the guard until the yawam (day) that Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) was lakad (taken).
