1 It happened when Yarawashalam (Jerusalem) was taken, (in the thashayaiy (ninth) shanah (year) of Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Judah), in the ishayaray (tenth) chadash (month), bawaa (come) Nabawakadanaatzar (Nebuchadnezzar) malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) and all his chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) against Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), and tzawar (besieged) it;
2 In the ishathay (eleven) shanah (year) of Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah), in the rabayaiy (fourth) chadash (month), the thashai (nine) day of the chadash (month), a baqai (breach) was made in the iyar (city)),
3 That all the sharay (princes) of the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) bawaa (bring) in, and yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the thawak (midst) shair (gate), Naragalasharaatzar (Nergal Sharezer), Samagaranabaw (Samgarnebo), Sharasakayam (Sarsechim), rabasarayas (rabsaris), Naragalasharaatzar (Nergal Sharezer), rabamag (rabmag), with all the rest of the sharay (princes) of the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon).
4 It happened that, when Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) and all the anashay (men) of malachamah (war) raah (see / saw) them, then they barach (fled), and yatzaa (go out / come out) forth out of the iyar (city) by layal (night), by the darak (way) of the malak (king) gan (garden), through the shair (gate) between the two chamathayam (walls); and he yatzaa (go out / come out) out toward the irabah (arabah).
5 But the chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans) radap (pursued) achar (other) them, and overtook Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) in the irabawath (plains) of Yarayachaw (Jericho): and when they had laqach (take / seize) him, they ilah (go up / offer) him up to Nabawakadanaatzar (Nebuchadnezzar) malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) to Rabalah (Riblah) in the aratz (Earth/land) of Chamath (Hamath); and he dabar (word / matter) mashapat (judgment) on him.
6 Then the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) shachat (killed) the banay (my son) of Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) in Rabalah (Riblah) before his iyan (eye): also the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) shachat (killed) all the charay (nobles) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah).
7 Moreover he iwar (put) out Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah's) iyanay (eyes), and asar (bound) him in nachashathayam (fetters), to bawaa (bring) him to Babal (Babylon).
8 The Kashaday (Chaldeans) sharap (burned) the malak (king) bayath (house), and the bayath (house) of the im (nation / people), with ash (fire), and nathatz (broke) down the chamawath (walls) of Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem).
9 Then Nabawazaraadan (Nebuzaradan) the rab (captain) of the tabach (guard) galah (carried) away captive into Babal (Babylon) the yathar (residue) of the im (nation / people) who shaar (remained) in the iyar (city), the deserters also who napal (fall / be cast down) napal (fall / be cast down) to him, and the yathar (residue) of the im (nation / people) who shaar (remained).
10 But Nabawazaraadan (Nebuzaradan) the rab (captain) of the tabach (guard) shaar (left) of the dal (poor) of the im (nation / people), who had maawamah (nothing), in the aratz (Earth/land) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and nathan (give) them karamayam (vineyards) and yagabayam (fields) at the same yawam (day).
11 Now Nabawakadanaatzar (Nebuchadnezzar) malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) tzawah (commanded) Nabawazaraadan (Nebuzaradan) the rab (captain) of the tabach (guard) concerning Yaramayah (Jeremiah), amar (said),
12 “Laqach (take / seize) him, and iyan (eye) well to him, and ishah (make) him no harm; but ishah (make) to him even as he shall dabar (word / matter) you.”
13 So Nabawazaraadan (Nebuzaradan) the rab (captain) of the tabach (guard) shalach (send), and Nabawashazaban (Nebushazban), rabasarayas (rabsaris), and Naragalasharaatzar (Nergal Sharezer), rabamag (rabmag), and all the chief rabay (officers) of the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon);
14 They shalach (send), and laqach (take / seize) Yaramayah (Jeremiah) out of the chatzar (court) of the guard, and nathan (give) him to Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Achayaqam (Ahikam), the ban (son) of Shapan (Shaphan), that he should yatzaa (go out / come out) him bayath (house): so he lived thawak (midst) the im (nation / people).
15 Now the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to Yaramayah (Jeremiah), while he was itzar (shut) up in the chatzar (court) of the guard, amar (spoke),
16 “Halak (move), and amar (spoke) to Ibadamalak (Ebedmelech) the Kawashay (Ethiopian), amar (spoke), ‘Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel): “Behold, I will bawaa (come) my dabar (word / matter) on this iyar (city) for rai (evil), and not for tawab (good / proper function); and they shall be accomplished panayam (face) you in that yawam (day).
17 But I will natzal (deliver) you in that yawam (day),” naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah (); “and you shall not be nathan (give) into the yad (hand) of the anashayam (men) of whom you are yagawar (afraid).
18 For I will malat (surely) malat (save) you, and you shall not napal (fall / be cast down) by the charab (sword), but your napash (soul) shall be for a shalal (prey) to you; because you have batach (put) your trust in me,” naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah ().’”
