Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (): “Behold, I will iwar (rouse / awaken) up against Babal (Babylon), and against those who yashab (inhabit/dwell) in Lebkamai, a shachath (destroying) rawach (spirit / wind).
I will shalach (send) to Babal (Babylon) strangers, who shall zarah (winnow) her; and they shall baqaq (empty) her aratz (Earth/land): for in the yawam (day) of rai (trouble) they shall be against her around.

They shall napal (fall / be cast down) down chalal (slain) in the aratz (Earth/land) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans), and thrust daqar (through) in her chawatz (streets).
For Yashar-Al (Israel) is not alaman (forsaken), nor Yahawadah (Judah), of his Alahayam (), of Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies); though their aratz (Earth/land) is malaa (full) of asham (guilt) against the qadawash (holy) One of Yashar-Al (Israel).
“Nawas (flee) out of the thawak (midst) of Babal (Babylon), and malat (save) every ayash (man / husband) his napash (soul); don't be damam (cut) off in her iwan (guilt/iniquity): for it is the ith (time) of Yahawah () naqamah (vengeance); he will shalam (render) to her a gamawal (recompense).
Babal (Babylon) has been a zahab (gold) kawas (cup) in Yahawah () yad (hand), who made all the aratz (Earth/land) shakar (drunken): the gawayam (nations) have shathah (drinks) of her yayan (wine); therefore the gawayam (nations) are halal (praise).
Babal (Babylon) is pathaawam (suddenly) napal (fall / be cast down) and shabar (destroyed): wail for her; laqach (take / seize) tzaray (balm) for her makaab (pain), if so be she may be rapaa (healed).
“We would have rapaa (healed) Babal (Babylon), but she is not rapaa (healed): izab (forsake) her, and yalak (let) us go everyone into his own aratz (Earth/land); for her mashapat (judgment) reaches to shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens), and is nashaa (lift) up even to the shachaqayam (skies).
‘Yahawah () yatzaa (go out / come out) brought forth our tzadaqah (righteousness): bawaa (come), and let us sapar (book) in Tzayawan (Zion) the maishah (work) of Yahawah () our Alahayam ().’
“Barar (make) sharp the chatzayam (arrows); hold firm the shalatayam (shields): Yahawah () has iwar (rouse / awaken) up the rawach (spirit / wind) of the malakay (kings) of the Maday (Medes); because his purpose is against Babal (Babylon), to shachath (destroy) it: for it is the naqamah (vengeance) of Yahawah (), the naqamah (vengeance) of his hayakal (temple).
Nashaa (lift) up a nas (standard) against the chawamath (walls) of Babal (Babylon), make the mashamar (watch) chazaq (strong), kawan (set) the watchmen, kawan (prepare) the ambushes; for Yahawah () has both zamam (purposed) and ishah (make) that which he dabar (word / matter) concerning the yashabay (inhabitants) of Babal (Babylon).
You who shakan (place) on many mayam (Waters), abundant in awatzarath (treasures), your qatz (end) bawaa (bring) come, the amah (measure) of your batzai (covetousness).
Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies) has shabai (swear / take oath) by himself, saying, ‘Surely I will malaa (fill) you with adam (men), as with the canker worm; and they shall inah (answer / respond) up a hayadad (shout) against you.’
“He ishah (make) made the aratz (Earth/land) by his kach (strength / mighty / power), he has kawan (established) the thabal (world) by his chakamah (wisdom), and by his thabawan (understanding) has he natah (stretched) out the shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens):
When he nathan (give) his qawal (sound / voice), there is a hamawan (tumult) of mayam (Waters) in the shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens), and he causes the vapors to ilah (go up / offer) from the qatzah (end / extremity / border) of the aratz (Earth/land); he ishah (make) baraq (lightning) for the matar (rain), and yatzaa (go out / come out) forth the rawach (spirit / wind) out of his awatzar (treasuries).
“Every adam (man) has become bair (brutish) without daith (knowledge). Every tzarap (goldsmith) is disappointed by his pasal (image); for his molten nasak (image) is falsehood, and there is no rawach (spirit / wind) in them.
They are habal (vanity), a maishah (work) of delusion: in the ith (time) of their paqadah (visitation) they shall abad (destroy / perish).
The chalaq (portion) of Yaiqab (Jacob) is not like these; for he is the former of all things; and is the shabat (tribe) of his nachalah (inheritance): Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies) is his sham (name).
“You are my mapatz (battle) axe and kalay (weapons) of malachamah (war): and with you will I napatz (break) in pieces the gawayam (heathen); and with you will I shachath (destroy) mamalakawath (kingdoms);
And with you will I napatz (break) in pieces the sawas (horse) and his rider;
And with you will I napatz (break) in pieces the chariot and him who rides therein; and with you will I napatz (break) in pieces ayash (man / husband) and ayashah (woman / wife); and with you will I napatz (break) in pieces the zaqan (old) nair (man) and the youth; and with you will I napatz (break) in pieces the bachawar (young) man and the bathawalah (virgin);
And with you will I napatz (break) in pieces the raih (shepherd) and his idar (flock); and with you will I napatz (break) in pieces the farmer and his tzamad (yoke); and with you will I napatz (break) in pieces pachawath (governors) and deputies.
“I will shalam (render) to Babal (Babylon) and to all the yawashabay (inhabitants) of Kashaday (Chaldea) all their rai (evil) that they ishah (make) done in Tzayawan (Zion) in your iyan (eye),” naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah ().
“Behold, I am against you, mashachayath (destroying) har (mountain),” naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah (), “which shachath (destroys) all the aratz (Earth/land); and I will natah (stretch) out my yad (hand) on you, and galal (roll) you down from the salaiyam (rocks), and will nathan (give) you a burnt har (mountain).
They shall not laqach (take / seize) of you a aban (stone) for a panah (corner / cornerstone), nor a aban (stone) for mawasadawath (foundations); but you shall be shamamah (desolate) for,” iwalam (forever), naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah ().
“Nashaa (lift) up a nas (standard) in the aratz (Earth/land), thaqai (blow / sound alarm) the shawapar (Shofar / Ram's horn) among the gawayam (heathen), qadash (set apart / make holy) the gawayam (heathen) against her, shamai (hearken / hear) together against her the mamalakawath (kingdoms) of Ararat (Ararat), Manay (Minni), and Ashakanaz (Ashkenaz): paqad (visit) a marshal against her; cause the sawas (horses) to ilah (go up / offer) up as the samar (rough) canker worm.
Qadash (set apart / make holy) against her the gawayam (heathen), the malakay (kings) of the Maday (Medes), its pachah (governors), and all its deputies, and all the aratz (Earth/land) of their mamashalah (rule / govern).
The aratz (Earth/land) raish (trembles) and is in chawal (pain); for the machashabawath (purposes) of Yahawah () against Babal (Babylon) do qawam (rise up), to shawam (place / establish / appoint) the aratz (Earth/land) of Babal (Babylon) a shamah (desolation), without yashab (inhabit/dwell).
The gabawar (mighty) men of Babal (Babylon) have forborne to lacham (fight), they yashab (inhabit/dwell) in their strongholds; their gabawarah (might) has nashath (failed); they are become as nashayam (women): her mashakan (dwelling) places are set on yatzath (fire); her barayach (bars) are shabar (broken).
Rawatz (one) runner will rawatz (run) to qaraah (meet) another, and one nagad (messenger) to qaraah (meet) another, to show the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) that his iyar (city) is lakad (taken) on every qatzah (end / extremity / border):
And the maibarawath (passages) are seized, and the reeds they have sharap (burned) with ash (fire), and the anashay (men) of malachamah (war) are frightened.”
For thus amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel): “The banath (daughter) of Babal (Babylon) is like a garan (threshing) floor at the ith (time) when it is trodden; yet a mait (little) while, and the ith (time) of qatzayar (harvest) shall bawaa (come) for her.”
“Nabawakadanaatzar (Nebuchadnezzar) the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) has akal (eat) me, he has hamam (crushed) me, he has yatzag (made) me an rayaq (empty) kalay (vessel), he has, like a thanayan (monster), balai (swallowed) me up, he malaa (has) filled his maw with my delicacies; he has dawach (cast) me out.
The chamas (violence) done to me and to my shaar (flesh) be on Babal (Babylon),” shall the yashab (inhabit/dwell) of Tzayawan (Zion) amar (said); “and, My dam (blood) be on the yashabay (inhabitants) of Kashaday (Chaldea),” shall Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) amar (said).
Therefore thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (): “Behold, I will rayab (plead) your rayab (cause), and naqam (take) vengeance for you; and I will charab (dry) up her yam (sea/waters), and make her maqawar (fountain) yabash (dry land).
Babal (Babylon) shall become galayam (heaps), a maiwan (dwelling) place for jackals, an shamah (astonishment), and a sharaqah (hissing), without yashab (inhabit/dwell).
They shall shaag (roar) yachad (together) like young kaparayam (lions); they shall growl as arayawath (lions)’ cubs.
When they are cham (heated), I will shayath (put / appoint / make) their mashathah (feast), and I will shakar (make) them drunken, that they may ilaz (rejoice), and sleep a iwalam (forever) shanah (sleep), and not qawatz (wake), naam (declares prophetically),” Yahawah ().
“I will yarad (bring) them down like karayam (lambs) to the tabach (slaughter), like ayalayam (rams) with male ithawadayam (goats).
“How is Shashak (Sheshach) lakad (taken)! And the thahalah (praise) of the whole aratz (Earth/land) seized! How is Babal (Babylon) become a shamah (desolation) among the gawayam (heathen)!
The yam (sea/waters) has ilah (go up / offer) up on Babal (Babylon); she is kasah (covered) with the hamawan (multitude) of its gal (waves).
Her iyar (cities) are become a shamah (desolation), a tzayah (dry) aratz (Earth/land), and a irabah (desert), a aratz (Earth/land) in which no ayash (man / husband) yashab (inhabit/dwell), neither does any ban (son) of adam (man) ibar (pass over/through) thereby.
I will execute paqad (visit) on Bal (Bel) in Babal (Babylon), and I will yatzaa (go out / come out) forth out of his pah (mouth) that which he has balai (swallowed) up; and the gawayam (heathen) shall not flow any more to him: yes, the chawamah (wall) of Babal (Babylon) shall napal (fall / be cast down).
“My im (nation / people), go away from the thawak (midst) of her, and malat (save) yourselves every ayash (man / husband) from the charawan (fierce) ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) of Yahawah ().
Don't let your labab (heart) rakak (faint), neither yaraa (fear / be afraid) for the shamawaih (news) that shall be shamai (hearken / hear) in the aratz (Earth/land); for shamawaih (news) shall bawaa (bring) one shanah (year), and achar (other) that in another shanah (year) shall come shamawaih (news), and chamas (violence) in the aratz (Earth/land), mashal (rule/have dominion) against mashal (rule/have dominion).
Therefore, behold, the yamayam (days) bawaa (bring), that I will execute paqad (visit) on the engraved pasayalay (images) of Babal (Babylon); and her whole aratz (Earth/land) shall be bawash (confounded); and all her chalal (slain) shall napal (fall / be cast down) in the thawak (midst) of her.
Then the shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens) and the aratz (Earth/land), and all that is therein, shall ranan (sing) for joy over Babal (Babylon); for the shawadadayam (destroyers) shall bawaa (come) to her from the tzapawan (north),” naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah ().
“As Babal (Babylon) has caused the chalal (slain) of Yashar-Al (Israel) to napal (fall / be cast down), so at Babal (Babylon) shall napal (fall / be cast down) the chalal (slain) of all the aratz (Earth/land).
You who have palayat (escaped) the charab (sword), halak (move), don't imad (stand) still; zakar (remember) Yahawah () from rachawaq (afar), and let Yarawashalam (Jerusalem) ilah (go up / offer) into your labab (mind).”
“We are bawash (confounded), because we have shamai (hearken / hear) charapah (reproach); kalamah (confusion) has kasah (covered) our panayam (face): for strangers bawaa (come) come into the maqadashay (sanctuaries) of Yahawah () bayath (house).”
“Therefore, behold, the yamayam (days) bawaa (come),” naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah (), “that I will execute paqad (visit) on her engraved pasayal (images); and through all her aratz (Earth/land) the chalal (wounded) shall anaq (groan).
Though Babal (Babylon) should ilah (go up / offer) up to the sky, and though she should batzar (fortify) the marawam (height) of her iz (strength / might / refuge), yet from me shall shadadayam (destroyers) bawaa (come) to her, naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah ().”
“The qawal (sound / voice) of a zaiq (cry) from Babal (Babylon), and of gadawal (very great/important/mighty) shabar (destruction) from the aratz (Earth/land) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans)!
For Yahawah () lays Babal (Babylon) shadad (waste), and abad (destroy / perish) out of her the gadawal (very great/important/mighty) qawal (sound / voice); and their gal (waves) hamah (great uproar) like many mayam (Waters); the shaawan (noise) of their qawal (sound / voice) is nathan (give):
For the shadad (destroyer) bawaa (come) come on her, even on Babal (Babylon), and her gabawar (mighty) men are lakad (taken), their qashath (bows) are broken in pieces; for Yahawah () is a Al of gamalawath (recompenses), he will shalam (surely) shalam (requite).
I will shakar (make) drunk her shar (prince / ruler) and her chakam (wise) men, her pachah (governors) and her deputies, and her gabawar (mighty) men; and they shall sleep a iwalam (forever) shanah (sleep), and not qawatz (wake) up,” naam (declares prophetically) the malak (king), whose sham (name) is Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies).
Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies): “The rachab (broad) chamawath (walls) of Babal (Babylon) shall be irar (utterly) overthrown, and her gabah (high) shair (gates) shall be yatzath (burned) with ash (fire); and the imayam (peoples) shall yagai (labor) for rayaq (vanity), and the laamayam (nations) for the ash (fire); and they shall be yaip (weary).”
The dabar (word / matter) which Yaramayah (Jeremiah) the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) tzawah (commanded) Sharayah (Seraiah) the ban (son) of Narayah (Neriah), the ban (son) of Machasayah (Mahseiah), when he yalak (went) with Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) to Babal (Babylon) in the rabayaiy (fourth) shanah (year) of his malak (king). Now Sharayah (Seraiah) was chief quartermaster.
Yaramayah (Jeremiah) kathab (write) in a sapar (book / scribed document) all the rai (evil) that should bawaa (bring) on Babal (Babylon), even all these dabarayam (words) that are kathab (write) concerning Babal (Babylon).
Yaramayah (Jeremiah) amar (said) to Sharayah (Seraiah), “When you bawaa (bring) to Babal (Babylon), then raah (see / saw) that you qaraa (called) all these dabarayam (words),
And amar (spoke), ‘Yahawah (), you have dabar (word / matter) concerning this maqawam (place), to karath (cut) it off, that none shall yashab (inhabit/dwell) therein, neither adam (man) nor animal, but that it shall be shamamah (desolate) iwalam (forever).’
It shall be, when you kalah (complete / finish) made an end of qaraa (called) this sapar (book / scribed document), that you shall qashar (bind) a aban (stone) to it, and shalak (cast) it into the thawak (midst) of the Parath (Euphrates):
And you shall amar (said), ‘Thus shall Babal (Babylon) shaqai (sink), and shall not qawam (rise up) again panayam (face) of the rai (evil) that I will bawaa (bring) on her; and they shall be yaip (weary).’” Thus far are the dabaray (words) of Yaramayah (Jeremiah).
