1 “My rawach (spirit / wind) is consumed. My yawam (day) are zaik (extinct), And the qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher) is ready for me.
2 Surely there are hathalayam (mockers) with me. My iyan (eye) lawan (dwells) on their marah (provocation).
3 “Now shawam (place / establish / appoint) a irab (evening), be collateral for me with yourself. Who is there who will thaqai (blow / sound alarm) yad (hand) with me?
4 For you have tzapan (hidden) their lab (heart) from shakal (understanding), Therefore you shall not rawam (will lift up) them.
5 He who nagad (denounces) his raiyam (friends) for a prey, Even the iyanay (eyes) of his ban (son) shall kalah (complete / finish).
6 “But he has yatzag (made) me a mashal (byword) of the imayam (people). They spit in my thapath (face).
7 My iyan (eye) also is kahah (dim) by reason of kais (sorrow). All my yatzar (members) are as a tzal (shadow).
8 Yashar (upright) men shall be shamam (astonished) at this. The naqay (innocent) shall iwar (rouse / awaken) up himself against the godless.
9 Yet shall the tzadayaq (righteous) achaz (hold) on his darak (way). He who has tahar (clean) yadayam (hands) shall grow amatz (stronger) and stronger.
10 But as for you shawab (turn), come on now again; I shall not matzaa (find) a wise chakam (man) among you.
11 My yawam (day) are past, my plans are nathaq (broken) off, as are the mawarashay (thoughts) of my labab (heart).
12 They shawam (place / establish / appoint) the layal (night) into yawam (day), saying ‘The awar (light) is qarawab (near)’ in the panayam (face) of chashak (darkness).
13 If I qawah (gather/wait) for shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) as my bayath (house), if I have rapad (spread) my yatzawai (couch) in the chashak (darkness),
14 If I have qaraa (called) to shachath (corruption), ‘You are my ab (father);’ to the ramah (worm), ‘My am (mother),’ and ‘my achawath (sister);’
15 Apaw (where) then is my thaqawah (hope)? As for my thaqawah (hope), who shall shawar (see) it?
16 Shall it yarad (go) down with me to the gates of shaawal (Sheol / afterlife), or descend yachad (together) into the ipar (dust)?”
