Balaim (Balaam) amar (said) to Balaq (Balak), “banah (build) me here shabai (seven) mazabachath (altars), and kawan (prepare) me here shabai (seven) parayam (bulls) and shabai (seven) ayalayam (rams).”
Balaq (Balak) ishah (make) as Balaim (Balaam) had dabar (word / matter); and Balaq (Balak) and Balaim (Balaam) ilah (go up / offer) on every mazabach (altar) a par (bull) and a ayal (ram).
Balaim (Balaam) amar (spoke) to Balaq (Balak), “yatzab (stand) by your burnt ilah (offering), and I will yalak (go): perhaps Yahawah () will qarah (come) to qaraah (meet) me; and whatever he shows me I will nagad (tell) you.” He yalak (went) to a bare height.
Alahayam () qarah (met) Balaim (Balaam): and he amar (spoke) to him, “I have irak (prepared) the shabai (seven) mazabachath (altars), and I have ilah (go up / offer) up a par (bull) and a ayal (ram) on every mazabach (altar).”
Yahawah () shawam (place / establish / appoint) a dabar (word / matter) in Balaim (Balaam's) pah (mouth), and amar (spoke), “shawab (turn back / repent) to Balaq (Balak), and thus you shall dabar (word / matter).”
He shawab (turn) to him, and behold, he was natzab (standing) by his burnt ilah (offering), he, and all the sharay (princes) of Mawaab (Moab).
He nashaa (lift) up his mashal (parable), and amar (said), “From Aram (Aram) has Balaq (Balak) nachah (brought) me, the malak (king) of Mawaab (Moab) from the hararay (mountains) of the qadam (east). Yalak (come), arar (curse) Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch) for me. Yalak (come), zaim (defy) Yashar-Al (Israel).
Mah (how) shall I naqab (curse) whom Al has not qabab (cursed)? How shall I zaim (defy) whom Yahawah () has not zaim (defied)?
For from the raash (head) of the tzarayam (rocks) I raah (see / saw) him. From the gabaiwath (hills) I shawar (see) him. Behold, it is a im (nation / people) that shakan (place) badad (alone), and shall not be chashab (reckoned) among the gawayam (heathen).
Who can manah (count) the ipar (dust) of Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch), or masapar (number) the rabai (fourth) part of Yashar-Al (Israel)? Let me mawath (death) the mawath (death) of the yashar (upright)! Let my acharayath (last) end be like his!”
Balaq (Balak) amar (said) to Balaim (Balaam), “What ishah (make) you done to me? I laqach (take / seize) you to qabab (curse) my ayab (enemy), and behold, you have barak (blessed) them barak (blessed).”
He inah (answer / respond) and amar (spoke), “Must I not shamar (keep/guard) heed to dabar (word / matter) that which Yahawah () shawam (place / establish / appoint) in my pah (mouth)?”
Balaq (Balak) amar (said) to him, “Please yalak (come) with me to achar (other) maqawam (place), where you may raah (see / saw) them; you shall raah (see / saw) but the utmost part of them, and shall not raah (see / saw) them all: and qabab (curse) me them from there.”
He laqach (take / seize) him into the shadah (field) of tzapayam (zophim), to the raash (head) of Pasagah (Pisgah), and banah (build) shabai (seven) mazabachath (altars), and ilah (go up / offer) up a par (bull) and a ayal (ram) on every mazabach (altar).
He amar (said) to Balaq (Balak), “yatzab (stand) here by your burnt ilah (offering), while I qarah (meet) over there.”
Yahawah () qarah (met) Balaim (Balaam), and shawam (place / establish / appoint) a dabar (word / matter) in his pah (mouth), and amar (spoke), “shawab (turn back / repent) to Balaq (Balak), and amar (spoke) this.”
He bawaa (come) to him, and behold, he was natzab (standing) by his burnt ilah (offering), and the sharay (princes) of Mawaab (Moab) with him. Balaq (Balak) amar (spoke) to him, “What has Yahawah () dabar (word / matter)?”
He nashaa (lift) up his mashal (parable), and amar (said), “qawam (rise up) up, Balaq (Balak), and shamai (hearken / hear)! Listen to me, you ban (son) of Tzapawar (Zippor).
Al is not a ayash (man / husband), that he should kazab (lie), nor the ban (son) of adam (man), that he should nacham (turn away / repent). Has he amar (said), and will he not ishah (make) it? Or has he dabar (word / matter), and will he not make it qawam (rise up)?
Behold, I have laqach (take / seize) a command to barak (blessed). He has barak (blessed), and I can't shawab (turn) it.
He nabat (has) not seen awan (iniquity) in Yaiqab (Jacob). Neither raah (see) he seen imal (perverseness) in Yashar-Al (Israel). Yahawah () his Alahayam () is with him. The tharawaih (shout) of a malak (king) is among them.
Al yatzaa (go out / come out) them out of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt). He has as it were the thawaipah (strength) of the wild ox.
Surely there is no nachash (enchantment) with Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch); Neither is there any qasam (divination) with Yashar-Al (Israel). Now it shall be amar (said) of Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch) and of Yashar-Al (Israel), ‘What has Al pail (done)!’
Behold, the im (nation / people) qawam (rise up) up as a labayaa (lioness), As a labayaa (lion) he nashaa (lift) himself up. He shall not shakab (lie) down until he akal (eat) of the tarap (prey), and shathah (drinks) the dam (blood) of the chalal (slain).”
Balaq (Balak) amar (said) to Balaim (Balaam), “Neither naqab (curse) them at qabab (all), nor barak (blessed) them at qabab (all).”
But Balaim (Balaam) inah (answer / respond) Balaq (Balak), “Didn't I dabar (word / matter) you, amar (spoke), ‘All that Yahawah () dabar (word / matter), that I must ishah (make)?’”
Balaq (Balak) amar (spoke) to Balaim (Balaam), “yalak (come) now, I will laqach (take / seize) you to achar (other) maqawam (place); perhaps it will yashar (upright) Alahayam () that you may qabab (curse) me them from there.”
Balaq (Balak) laqach (take / seize) Balaim (Balaam) to the raash (head) of Paiwar (Peor), that shaqap (looks) down on the yashayamawan (desert).
Balaim (Balaam) amar (said) to Balaq (Balak), “banah (build) me here shabai (seven) mazabachath (altars), and kawan (prepare) me here shabai (seven) parayam (bulls) and shabai (seven) ayalayam (rams).”
Balaq (Balak) ishah (make) as Balaim (Balaam) had amar (said), and ilah (go up / offer) up a par (bull) and a ayal (ram) on every mazabach (altar).
