2 These are the shamawath (names) of the banay (my son) of Aharawan (Aaron): Nadab (Nadab) the bakawar (firstborn), and Abayahawaa (Abihu), Alaizar (Eleazar), and Ayathamar (Ithamar).
3 These are the shamawath (names) of the banay (my son) of Aharawan (Aaron), the kahanayam (priests) who were mashach (anointed), whom he malaa (consecrated) to kahan (priest) in the priest's office.
4 Nadab (Nadab) and Abayahawaa (Abihu) mawath (death) panayam (face) Yahawah (), when they qarab (come close) zawar (strange) ash (fire) panayam (face) Yahawah (), in the madabar (wilderness) of Sayanay (Sinai), and they had no banayam (children). 10 You shall paqad (visit) Aharawan (Aaron) and his ban (son), and they shall shamar (keep/guard) their kahanah (priesthood). The stranger who ban (son) near shall be put to mawath (death).”
11 Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses), amar (spoke),
12 “Behold, I have laqach (take / seize) the Lawayay (Levites) from thawak (midst) the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel) instead of all the bakawar (firstborn) who patar (open) the racham (show mercy / love) among the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel); and the Lawayay (Levites) shall be mine:
13 For all the bakawar (firstborn) are mine. On the yawam (day) that I nakah (struck) down all the bakawar (firstborn) in the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Egypt) I made qadash (set apart / make holy) to me all the bakawar (firstborn) in Yashar-Al (Israel), both adam (man) and animal. They shall be mine. I am Yahawah ().”
14 Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses) in the madabar (wilderness) of Sayanay (Sinai), amar (spoke),
15 “Paqad (visit) the banay (my son) of Laway (Levi) by their ab (father)’ bayath (house), by their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family). You shall paqad (visit) every zakar (remember) from a chadash (month) ban (son) and upward.”
16 Mashah (Moses) paqad (visit) them according to the pah (word) of Yahawah (), as he was tzawah (commanded).
17 These were the banay (my son) of Laway (Levi) by their sham (name): Garashawan (Gershon), and Qahath (Kohath), and Mararay (Merari).
18 These are the shamawath (names) of the banay (my son) of Garashawan (Gershon) by their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family): Labanay (Libni) and Shamaiy (Shimei).
19 The banay (my son) of Qahath (Kohath) by their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family): Imaram (Amram), and Yatzahar (fresh oil), Chabarawan (Hebron), and Izayaal (Uzziel).
20 The banay (my son) of Mararay (Merari) by their mashapachath (families): Machalay (Mahli) and Mawashay (Mushi). These are the mashapachath (families) of the Lawayay (Levites) according to their ab (father)’ bayath (house).
21 Of Garashawan (Gershon) was the mashapachah (tribe / clan / family) of the labanay (libnites), and the mashapachah (tribe / clan / family) of the Shimeites: these are the mashapachath (families) of the garashanay (gershonites).
22 Those who were paqad (visit) of them, according to the masapar (number) of all the zakar (remember), from a chadash (month) ban (son) and upward, even those who were paqad (visit) of them were shabai (seven) alap (thousand) chamash (five) maah (hundred).
23 The mashapachath (families) of the garashanay (gershonites) shall chanah (encamp) achar (other) the mashakan (tabernacle) westward.
24 The nashayaa (prince) of the ab (father) bayath (house) of the garashanay (gershonites) shall be Alayasap (Eliasaph) the ban (son) of Laal (Lael)’.
25 The duty of the banay (my son) of Garashawan (Gershon) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting shall be the ahal (tabernacle), and the mashakan (tent), its ahal (covering), and the screen for the pathach (door) of the ahal (tent) of Meeting,
26 And the qalaiy (hangings) of the chatzar (court), and the screen for the pathach (door) of the chatzar (court), which is by the mashakan (tabernacle), and around the mazabach (altar), and its mayathar (cords) for all of its ibadah (service).
27 Of Qahath (Kohath) was the mashapachah (tribe / clan / family) of the imaramay (amramites), and the mashapachah (tribe / clan / family) of the yatzaharay (izharites), and the mashapachah (tribe / clan / family) of the chabarawanay (hebronites), and the mashapachah (tribe / clan / family) of the izayaalay (uzzielites): these are the mashapachath (families) of the Qahathay (Kohathites).
28 According to the masapar (number) of all the zakar (remember), from a chadash (month) ban (son) and upward, there were shamanah (eight) alap (thousand) shash (six) maah (hundred), shamar (keep/guard) the requirements of the qadash (set apart / make holy).
29 The mashapachath (families) of the banay (my son) of Qahath (Kohath) shall chanah (encamp) on the thayaman (south) yarak (side) of the mashakan (tabernacle).
30 The nashayaa (prince) of the ab (father)’ bayath (house) of the mashapachath (families) of the Qahathay (Kohathites) shall be Alayatzapan (Elizaphan) the ban (son) of Izayaal (Uzziel).
31 Their duty shall be the arawan (ark), the shalachan (table), the manawarah (lamp) stand, the mazabachath (altars), the kalay (vessels) of the qadash (set apart / make holy) with which they sharath (minister), and the screen, and all its ibadah (service).
32 Alaizar (Eleazar) the ban (son) of Aharawan (Aaron) the kahan (priest) shall be nashayaa (prince) of the nashayaay (princes) of the Lawayay (Levites), with the paqadah (oversight) of those who shamar (keep/guard) the requirements of the qadash (set apart / make holy).
33 Of Mararay (Merari) was the mashapachah (tribe / clan / family) of the machalay (mahlites), and the mashapachah (tribe / clan / family) of the mawashay (mushites). These are the mashapachath (families) of Mararay (Merari).
34 Those who were paqad (visit) of them, according to the masapar (number) of all the zakar (remember), from a chadash (month) ban (son) and upward, were shash (six) alap (thousand) two maah (hundred).
35 The nashayaa (prince) of the ab (father)’ bayath (house) of the mashapachath (families) of Mararay (Merari) was Tzawarayaal (Zuriel) the ban (son) of Abayahayal (Abihail). They shall chanah (encamp) on the tzapawan (north) yarak (side) of the mashakan (tabernacle).
36 The appointed duty of the banay (my son) of Mararay (Merari) shall be the mashakan (tabernacle's) qarashay (boards), its barayach (bars), its imawad (pillar), its adan (sockets), all its kalay (instruments), all its ibadah (service),
37 The imaday (pillars) of the chatzar (court) around it, their adan (sockets), their yathad (pins), and their mayathar (cords).
38 Those who chanah (encamp) panayam (face) the mashakan (tabernacle) eastward, in panayam (face) of the mashakan (tent) of Meeting toward the sunrise, shall be Mashah (Moses), and Aharawan (Aaron) and his banay (my son), shamar (keep/guard) the requirements of the maqadash (sanctuary) for the duty of the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel). The stranger who banay (my son) near shall be put to mawath (death).
39 All who were numbered of the Lawayay (Levites), whom Mashah (Moses) and Aharawan (Aaron) numbered at the commandment of Yahawah (), by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty - two thousand.
40 Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Mashah (Moses), “paqad (visit) all the bakawar (firstborn) zakar (remember) of the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) from a chadash (month) ban (son) and upward, and nashaa (lift) the masapar (number) of their sham (name).
41 You shall laqach (take / seize) the Lawayay (Levites) for me (I am Yahawah) instead of all the bakawar (firstborn) among the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel); and the livestock of the Lawayay (Levites) instead of all the bakawar (firstborn) among the livestock of the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel).”
42 Mashah (Moses) paqad (visit), as Yahawah () tzawah (commanded) him, all the bakawar (firstborn) among the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel).
43 All the bakawar (firstborn) zakar (remember) according to the masapar (number) of shamawath (names), from a chadash (month) ban (son) and upward, of those who were paqad (visit) of them, were isharayam (twenty) - shanayam (two) alap (thousand) two maah (hundred) shabaiyam (seventy) - three.
44 Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses), amar (spoke),
45 “Laqach (take / seize) the Lawayay (Levites) instead of all the bakawar (firstborn) among the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel), and the livestock of the Lawayay (Levites) instead of their livestock; and the Lawayay (Levites) shall be mine. I am Yahawah ().
46 For the padaway (redemption) of the two maah (hundred) seventy - three of the ban (son) of the children of Yashar-Al (Israel), who exceed the number of the Lawayay (Levites),
47 You shall laqach (take / seize) chamash (five) shaqalayam (shekels) apiece for each galagalath (one); after the shaqal (shekel) of the qadash (set apart / make holy) you shall laqach (take / seize) them (the shaqal (shekel) is isharayam (twenty) garah (gerahs)):
48 And you shall nathan (give) the kasap (money), with which their remainder is padaway (redeemed), to Aharawan (Aaron) and to his ban (son).”
49 Mashah (Moses) laqach (take / seize) the padayawam (redemption) kasap (money) from those who exceeded the number of those who were padaway (redeemed) by the Lawayay (Levites);
50 From the bakawar (firstborn) of the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel) he laqach (take / seize) the kasap (money), one alap (thousand) shalawash (three) maah (hundred) shashayam (sixty) - chamash (five) shaqal (shekels), after the shekel of the qadash (set apart / make holy):
51 And Mashah (Moses) nathan (give) the padaway (redemption) kasap (money) to Aharawan (Aaron) and to his ban (son), according to the pah (word) of Yahawah (), as Yahawah () tzawah (commanded) Mashah (Moses).
