Proverbs 2 — English–Hebrew Parallel

My ban (son), if you will laqach (take / seize) my amar (said), and store up my matzawah (commandments) within you;

So as to qashab (turn) your azan (ear) to chakamah (wisdom), and natah (apply) your lab (heart) to thabawan (understanding);

Yes, if you qaraa (called) out for discernment, and nathan (give) up your qawal (sound / voice) for thabawan (understanding);

If you baqash (seek) her as kasap (silver), and chapash (search) for her as for matamawan (hidden) treasures:

Then you will bayan (between) the yaraah (fear) of Yahawah (), and matzaa (find) the daith (knowledge) of Alahayam ().

For Yahawah () nathan (give) chakamah (wisdom). Out of his pah (mouth) comes daith (knowledge) and thabawan (understanding).

He tzapan (lays) up sound thawashayah (wisdom) for the yashar (upright). He is a magan (shield) to those who halak (move) in tham (integrity);

That he may guard the arachawath (paths) of mashapat (justice), and shamar (keep/guard) the darak (way) of his chasayad (saints).

Then you will bayan (between) tzadaq (righteous / just / fair) and mashapat (justice), mayashar (equity) and every tawab (good / proper function) maigal (path).

For chakamah (wisdom) will bawaa (bring) into your lab (heart). Daith (knowledge) will be naim (pleasant) to your napash (soul).

Mazamah (discretion) will shamar (keep/guard) over you. Thabawan (understanding) will shamar (keep/guard) you,

To natzal (deliver) you from the darak (way) of rai (evil), from the ayash (man / husband) who dabar (word / matter) thahapakah (perverse) things;

Who izab (forsake) the arachawath (paths) of yashar (upright), to yalak (walk) in the darakay (ways) of chashak (darkness);

Who shamach (rejoice) to ishah (make) rai (evil), and delight in the perverseness of rai (evil);

Who are iqash (crooked) in their arach (ways), and wayward in their maigal (paths):

To natzal (deliver) you from the zawar (strange) ayashah (woman / wife), even from the nakaray (foreigner) who chalaq (flatters) with her amar (said);

Who izab (forsakes) the alawap (friend) of her naiwar (youth), and shakach (forgets) the barayath (covenant) of her Alahayam ():

For her bayath (house) leads down to mawath (death), her maigal (paths) to the rapaa (dead).

None who bawaa (bring) to her shawab (turn) again, neither do they nashag (attain) to the arachawath (paths) of chay (life):

That you may yalak (walk) in the darak (way) of tawab (good / proper function) men, and shamar (keep/guard) the arachawath (paths) of the tzadayaq (righteous).

For the yashar (upright) will shakan (place) in the aratz (Earth/land). The thamayam (complete / whole) will yathar (remain) in it.

But the rashai (wicked) will be karath (cut) off from the aratz (Earth/land). The bagad (treacherous) will be nasach (rooted) out of it.
