Psalms 37 — English–Hebrew Parallel

Don't charah (hot with anger) because of evildoers, neither be qanaa (jealous) against those who ishah (make) iwal (unrighteousness).

For they shall maharah (soon) be namal (cut) down like the chatzayar (grass), and nabal (wither) like the yaraq (green) dashaa (herb).

Batach (trust) in Yahawah (), and ishah (make) tawab (good / proper function). Shakan (place) in the aratz (Earth/land), and enjoy safe pasture.

Also inag (delight) yourself in Yahawah (), and he will nathan (give) you the mashaalath (desires) of your lab (heart).

Galal (commit) your darak (way) to Yahawah (). Batach (trust) also in him, and he will ishah (make) this:

He will make your tzadaq (righteous / just / fair) yatzaa (go out / come out) forth as the awar (light), and your mashapat (justice) as the noon tzahar (day) sun.

Damam (rest) in Yahawah (), and chawal (wait) patiently for him. Don't charah (hot with anger) because of him who tzalach (prospers) in his darak (way), because of the ayash (man / husband) who ishah (make) mazamah (wicked) plots happen.

Rapah (cease) from ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting), and izab (forsake) chamah (wrath). Don't charah (hot with anger), it leads only to evildoing.

For evildoers shall be karath (cut) off, but those who qawah (gather/wait) for Yahawah () shall yarash (inherit) the aratz (Earth/land).

For yet a mait (little) while, and the rashai (wicked) will be no more. Yes, though you bayan (between) for his maqawam (place), he isn't there.

But the inaw (humble) shall yarash (inherit) the aratz (Earth/land), and shall inag (delight) themselves in the rab (abundance) of shalawam (peace / safety).

The rashai (wicked) zamam (plots) against the tzadayaq (righteous), and gnashes at him with his shan (teeth).

The Adanay () will shachaq (laugh) at him, for he raah (see) that his yawam (day) is bawaa (come).

The rashai (wicked) pathach (have) drawn out the charab (sword), and have bent their qashath (bow), to napal (fall / be cast down) down the inay (poor) and inay (needy), to tabach (kill) those who are yashar (upright) in the darak (way).

Their charab (sword) shall bawaa (bring) into their own lab (heart). Their qashath (bows) shall be shabar (broken).

Tawab (good / proper function) is a mait (little) that the tzadayaq (righteous) has, than the hamawan (abundance) of many rashai (wicked).

For the zarawaiwath (arms) of the rashai (wicked) shall be shabar (broken), but Yahawah () samak (upholds) the tzadayaq (righteous).

Yahawah () yadai (knows) the yamay (days) of the thamayam (complete / whole). Their nachalah (inheritance) shall be iwalam (forever).

They shall not be disappointed in the ith (time) of rai (evil). In the yamay (days) of raibawan (famine) they shall be shabai (satisfied).

But the rashai (wicked) shall abad (destroy / perish). The ayabay (enemies) of Yahawah () shall be like the beauty of the fields. They will vanish— vanish like ishan (smoke).

The rashai (wicked) lawah (borrow), and don't shalam (pay) back, but the tzadayaq (righteous) nathan (give) generously.

For such as are barak (blessed) by him shall yarash (inherit) the aratz (Earth/land). Those who are qalal (cursed) by him shall be karath (cut) off.

A gabar (man's) matzaiday (goings) are kawan (established) by Yahawah (). He chapatz (delights) in his darak (way).

Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for Yahawah () samak (holds) him up with his yad (hand).

I have been nair (young), and now am zaqan (old), yet I raah (see / saw) not seen the tzadayaq (righteous) forsaken, nor his zarai (children) baqash (begging) for lacham (bread).

All yawam (day) long he chanan (showing favor) graciously, and lawah (lends). His zarai (seed) is blessed.

Sawar (depart) from rai (evil), and ishah (make) tawab (good / proper function). Live securely iwalam (eternity).

For Yahawah () ahab (love) mashapat (justice), and doesn't izab (forsake) his chasayad (saints). They are shamar (keep/guard) iwalam (forever), but the zarai (children) of the rashai (wicked) shall be karath (cut) off.

The tzadayaq (righteous) shall yarash (inherit) the aratz (Earth/land), and live in it id (until / as far as).

The pah (mouth) of the tzadayaq (righteous) hagah (talks) of chakamah (wisdom). His lashawan (tongue / language) hagah (speaks) mashapat (justice).

The thawarah (instruction) of his Alahayam () is in his lab (heart). None of his ashar (who/that) shall maid (slide).

The rashai (wicked) watches the tzadayaq (righteous), and baqash (seeks) to mawath (death) him.

Yahawah () will not izab (leave) him in his yad (hand), nor rashai (condemn) him when he is shapat (judge / judgement).

Qawah (gather/wait) for Yahawah (), and shamar (keep/guard) his darak (way), and he will rawam (will lift up) you to yarash (inherit) the aratz (Earth/land). When the rashai (wicked) are karath (cut) off, you shall raah (see) it.

I raah (see / saw) seen the rashai (wicked) in great irayatz (power), irah (spreading) himself like a rainan (green) azarach (tree) in its native soil.

But he ibar (pass over/through) away, and behold, he was not. Yes, I baqash (sought) him, but he could not be matzaa (found).

Shamar (keep/guard) the tham (perfect) man, and raah (see / saw) the yashar (upright), for there is a future for the ayash (man / husband) of shalawam (peace / safety).

As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed yachad (together). The future of the rashai (wicked) shall be karath (cut) off.

But the thashawaih (deliverance) of the tzadayaq (righteous) is from Yahawah (). He is their stronghold in the ith (time) of tzarah (trouble).

Yahawah () izar (helps) them, and rescues them. He rescues them from the rashai (wicked), and yashai (salvation) them, Because they chasah (have) taken refuge in him.
