Yahawah () raah (see) to him by the oaks of Mamaraa (Mamre), as he yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the ahal (tent) pathach (door) in the cham (heat) of the yawam (day).
He nashaa (lift) up his iyan (eye) and raah (see / saw), and saw that shalawash (three) anashayam (men) natzab (stood) opposite him. When he raah (see / saw) them, he rawatz (ran) to qaraah (meet) them from the ahal (tent) pathach (door), and shachah (bowed) himself to the aratz (Earth/land),
And amar (spoke), “My Adanay (), if now I matzaa (have) found favor in your iyan (eye), please don't ibar (pass over/through) away from your ibad (servant).
Now let a mait (little) mayam (Waters) be laqach (take / seize), rachatz (wash) your ragal (feet / foot), and shain (rest) yourselves under the itz (tree).
I will laqach (take / seize) a path (morsel) of lacham (bread) so you can refresh your lab (heart). Achar (other) that you may go your ibar (pass over/through), now that you ibar (pass over/through) come to your ibad (servant).” They dabar (word / matter), “Very well, ishah (make) as you have amar (said).”
Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) hurried into the ahal (tent) to Sharah (Sarah), and amar (said), “mahar (quickly) prepare shalawash (three) saayam (measures) of fine qamach (meal), lawash (knead) it, and ishah (make) igawath (cakes).”
Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) rawatz (ran) to the baqar (morning), and laqach (take / seize) a rak (tender) and tawab (good / proper function) ban (son), and nathan (give) it to the nair (servant). He hurried to ishah (make) it.
He laqach (take / seize) chamaah (butter), chalab (milk), and the ban (son) which he ishah (make) dressed, and nathan (give) it panayam (face) them. He imad (stood) by them under the itz (tree), and they ate.
They asked him, “ayah (where) is Sharah (Sarah), your ayashah (woman / wife)?” He amar (said), “See, in the ahal (tent).”
He amar (said), “I will shawab (turn) shawab (turn) to you when the ith (season) comes round. Behold, Sharah (Sarah) your ayashah (woman / wife) will have a ban (son).” Sharah (Sarah) shamai (hearken / hear) in the ahal (tent) pathach (door), which was achar (other) him.
Now Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) and Sharah (Sarah) were zaqan (old), well advanced in yawam (day). Sharah (Sarah) had passed the yawam (day) of childbearing.
Sharah (Sarah) tzachaq (laughed) qarab (among / near) herself, amar (spoke), “achar (other) I have grown balah (old) will I have idan (Idan / Eden), my Adawan () being zaqan (old) also?”
Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Abaraham (Abraham), “mah (why) did Sharah (Sarah) tzachaq (laugh), amar (spoke), ‘Will I really yalad (birth / begot) a child, yet I am zaqan (old)?’
Is anything palaa (be wonderful / extraordinary / marvelous) hard for Yahawah ()? At the mawaid (Feast/Holy Day) time I will shawab (turn back / repent) to you, when the ith (season) comes round, and Sharah (Sarah) will have a ban (son).”
Then Sharah (Sarah) kachash (denied), amar (said), “I didn't tzachaq (laugh),” for she was yaraa (fear / be afraid). He amar (said), “No, but you did tzachaq (laugh).”
The anashayam (men) qawam (rise up) up from there, and shaqap (looked) panayam (face) Sadam (Sodom). Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) halak (move) with them to see them on their shalach (send).
Yahawah () amar (spoke), “Will I kasah (hide) from Abaraham (Abraham) what I ishah (make),
Since Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) has surely become a gadawal (very great/important/mighty) and itzawam (mighty) gaway (heathen / nation), and all the gawayay (nations) of the aratz (Earth/land) will be barak (blessed) in him?
For I yadai (have) known him, to the end that he may tzawah (command) his ban (son) and his bayath (house) achar (other) him, that they may shamar (keep/guard) the darak (way) of Yahawah (), to ishah (make) mashapat (righteousness) and tzadaqah (righteousness); to the end that Yahawah () may bawaa (come) on Abaraham (Abraham) that which he has dabar (word / matter) of him.”
Yahawah () amar (spoke), “Because the zaiq (cry) of Sadam (Sodom) and Imarah (Gomorrah) is rab (great), and because their chataah (sin) is very kabad (grievous),
I will yarad (go) down now, and raah (see / saw) whether their deeds are as bad as the reports which bawaa (bring) come to me. If not, I yadai (will) know.”
The anashayam (men) panah (turn) from there, and yalak (went) toward Sadam (Sodom), but Abaraham (Abraham) imad (stood) yet panayam (face) Yahawah ().
Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) nagash (drew) near, and amar (said), “Will you sapah (consume) the tzadayaq (righteous) with the rashai (wicked)?
What if there are chamashayam (fifty) tzadayaq (righteous) thawak (midst) the iyar (city)? Will you sapah (consume) and not nashaa (lift) the maqawam (place) for the chamashayam (fifty) tzadayaq (righteous) who are in it?
Be it chalayalah (far) from you to ishah (make) things like that, to mawath (death) the tzadayaq (righteous) with the rashai (wicked), so that the tzadayaq (righteous) should be like the rashai (wicked). May that be chalayalah (far) from you. Shouldn't the shapat (judge / judgement) of all the aratz (Earth/land) ishah (make) mashapat (right)?”
Yahawah () amar (spoke), “If I matzaa (find) in Sadam (Sodom) chamashayam (fifty) tzadayaq (righteous) thawak (midst) the iyar (city), then I will nashaa (lift) all the maqawam (place) for their sake.”
Abaraham (Abraham) inah (answer / respond), “See now, I have yaal (taken) it on myself to dabar (word / matter) to the Adanay (), who am but ipar (dust) and ashes.
What if there will chasar (lack) chamash (five) of the chamashayam (fifty) tzadayaq (righteous)? Will you shachath (destroy) all the iyar (city) for lack of chamash (five)?” He amar (said), “I will not shachath (destroy) it, if I matzaa (find) arabaiyam (forty)- chamash (five) there.”
He dabar (word / matter) to him yet again, and amar (said), “What if there are arabaiyam (forty) matzaa (found) there?” He amar (said), “I will not ishah (make) it for the arabaiyam (forty) sake.”
He amar (spoke), “Oh don't let the Adanay () be charah (hot with anger), and I will dabar (word / matter). What if there are shalawashayam (thirty) matzaa (found) there?” He amar (spoke), “I will not ishah (make) it, if I matzaa (find) shalawashayam (thirty) there.”
He amar (spoke), “See now, I have yaal (taken) it on myself to dabar (word / matter) to the Adanay (). What if there are isharayam (twenty) matzaa (found) there?” He amar (spoke), “I will not shachath (destroy) it for the isharayam (twenty) sake.”
He amar (spoke), “Oh don't let the Adanay () be charah (hot with anger), and I will dabar (word / matter) just paim (once) more. What if ishar (ten) are matzaa (found) there?” He amar (spoke), “I will not shachath (destroy) it for the ishar (ten's) sake.”
Yahawah () went his yalak (way), as soon as he had finished dabar (word / matter) with Abaraham (Abraham), and Abaraham (Abraham) shawab (turn back / repent) to his maqawam (place).
