1 It happened achar (other) these things, that Alahayam () tested Abaraham (Abraham), and amar (spoke) to him, “Abaraham (Abraham)!” He amar (spoke), “Here I am.”
2 He amar (said), “Now take your ban (son), your only ban (son), whom you ahab (love), even Yatzachaq (Isaac), and go into the aratz (Earth/land) of Mawarayah (Moriah). Ilah (go up / offer) him there for a burnt ilah (offering) on achad (one) of the harayam (mountains) which I will amar (said) you of.”
3 Abaraham (Abraham) shakam (rose) early in the baqar (morning), and chabash (saddled) his donkey, and laqach (take / seize) shanayam (two) of his nair (young) men with him, and Yatzachaq (Isaac) his ban (son). He split the itz (wood) for the burnt ilah (offering), and qawam (rise up) up, and yalak (went) to the maqawam (place) of which Alahayam () had amar (spoke) him.
4 On the shalayashay (third) yawam (day) Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) nashaa (lift) up his iyan (eye), and raah (see / saw) the maqawam (place) rachawaq (far) off.
5 Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) amar (said) to his nair (young) men, “Stay here with the donkey. The nair (boy) and I will yalak (go) kah (yonder). We will shachah (worship), and shawab (turn) back to you.”
6 Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) laqach (take / seize) the itz (wood) of the burnt ilah (offering) and shawam (place / establish / appoint) it on Yatzachaq (Isaac) his ban (son). He laqach (take / seize) in his yad (hand) the ash (fire) and the maakalath (knife). They shanayam (two) yalak (went) yachad (together).
7 Yatzachaq (Isaac) amar (said) to Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) his ab (father), and amar (said), “My ab (father)?” He amar (said), “Here I am, my ban (son).” He amar (said), “Here is the ash (fire) and the itz (wood), but where is the shah (lamb) for a burnt ilah (offering)?”
8 Abaraham (Abraham) amar (spoke), “Alahayam () will raah (see) himself the shah (lamb) for a burnt ilah (offering), my ban (son).” So they shanayam (two) yalak (went) yachad (together).
9 They bawaa (come) to the maqawam (place) which Alahayam () had amar (spoke) him of. Abaraham (Abraham) banah (build) the mazabach (altar) there, and irak (laid) the itz (wood) in irak (order), iqad (bound) Yatzachaq (Isaac) his ban (son), and shawam (place / establish / appoint) him on the mazabach (altar), on the itz (wood).
10 Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) shalach (send) out his yad (hand), and laqach (take / seize) the maakalath (knife) to shachat (kill) his ban (son).
11 The malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Yahawah () qaraa (called) to him out of the sky, and amar (spoke), “Abaraham (Abraham), Abaraham (Abraham)!” He amar (spoke), “Here I am.”
12 He amar (spoke), “Don't shalach (send) your yad (hand) on the nair (boy), neither ishah (make) anything to him. For ithah (now / present moment) I yadai (know) that you yaraa (fear) Alahayam (), since you have not withheld your yachayad (son), your only ban (son), from me.”
13 Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) nashaa (lift) up his iyan (eye), and raah (see / saw), and saw that achar (other) him was a ayal (ram) achaz (caught) in the sabak (thicket) by his qaran (horn). Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) yalak (went) and laqach (take / seize) the ayal (ram), and ilah (go up / offer) him up for a burnt ilah (offering) thachath (under) of his ban (son).
14 Abaraham (Abraham) qaraa (called) the sham (name) of that maqawam (place) “Yahawah () Will Provide”. As it is amar (spoke) to this yawam (day), “On Yahawah () har (mountain), it will be raah (see).”
15 The malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Yahawah () qaraa (called) to Abaraham (Abraham) a shanay (second) time out of the sky,
16 And amar (spoke), “‘I have shabai (swear / take oath) by myself,’ naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah (), ‘yain (because) you ishah (make) done this thing, and have not withheld your ban (son), your only yachayad (son),
17 That I will barak (blessed) you barak (blessed), and I will rabah (multiply) your zarai (seed) greatly like the kawakabay (stars) of the shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens), and like the chawal (sand) which is on the shapah (seashore). Your zarai (seed) will yarash (possess) the shair (gate) of his ayab (enemy).
18 In your zarai (seed) will all the gawayay (nations) of the aratz (Earth/land) be barak (blessed), ashar (who/that) you have shamai (hearken / hear) my qawal (sound / voice).’”
19 So Abaraham (Abraham) shawab (turn back / repent) to his nair (young) men, and they qawam (rise up) up and yalak (went) yachad (together) to Baar-Shabai (Beersheba). Abaraham (Abraham) lived at Baar-Shabai (Beersheba).
20 It happened achar (other) these things, that it was nagad (told) Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch), amar (said), “Behold, Malakah (Milcah), she also has yalad (birth / begot) banayam (children) to your ach (brother/kinsman) Nachawar (Nahor):
21 Iwatz (Uz) his bakawar (firstborn), Bawaz (Buz) his ach (brother/kinsman), Qamawaal (Kemuel) the ab (father) of Aram (Aram),
22 Kashad (Chesed), Chazaw (Hazo), Paladash (Pildash), Yadalap (Jidlaph), and Bathawaal (Bethuel).”
23 Bathawaal (Bethuel) became the yalad (birth / begot) of Rabaqah (Rebekah). These shamanah (eight) Malakah (Milcah) yalad (birth / begot) to Nachawar (Nahor), Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) ach (brother/kinsman).
24 His payalagash (concubine), whose sham (name) was Raawamah (Reumah), also yalad (birth / begot) Tabach (Tebah), Gacham (Gaham), Thachash (Tahash), and Maikah (Maacah).
