1 Chronicles 25 — English–Hebrew Parallel

1 Moreover, Dawad (David) and the sharay (captains) of the tzabaa (troop) set apart for the ibadah (service) certain of the banay (my son) of Asap (Asaph), and of Hayaman (Heman), and of Yadawathawan (Jeduthun), who should nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) with kanarawath (harps), with stringed instruments, and with matzalathayam (cymbals): and the masapar (number) of those who did the work according to their ibadah (service) was:

2 Of the banay (my son) of Asap (Asaph): Zakawar (remember/recall), and Yawasap (Joseph), and Nathanayah (Nethaniah), and Asharaalah (Asharelah), the banay (my son) of Asap (Asaph), under the yad (hand) of Asap (Asaph), who nabaa (prophesied) after the yad (hand) of the malak (king).

3 Of Yadawathawan (Jeduthun); the banay (sons) of Yadawathawan (Jeduthun): Gadalayah (Gedaliah), and Tzaray (Zeri), and Yashaiyah (Jeshaiah), Chashabayah (Hashabiah), and Mathathayah (Mattithiah), shash (six), under the yaday (hands) of their ab (father) Yadawathawan (Jeduthun) with the kanawar (harp), who nabaa (prophesied) in giving yadah (thanks) and halal (praise) Yahawah ().

4 Of Hayaman (Heman); the banay (my son) of Hayaman (Heman): Baqayah (Bukkiah), Mathanayah (Mattaniah), Izayaal (Uzziel), Shabawaal (Shebuel), and Yarayamawath (Jerimoth), Chananayah (Hananiah), Chananay (Hanani), Alayaathah (Eliathah), Gadalathay (Giddalti), and Rawamamathayaizar (Romamti-Ezer), Yashabaqashah (Joshbekashah), Malawathay (Mallothi), Hawathayar (Hothir), Machazayaawath (Mahazioth).

5 All these were the banayam (sons) of Hayaman (Heman) the malak (king) chazah (seer) in the dabaray (words) of Alahayam (), to rawam (will lift up) up the qaran (horn). Alahayam () nathan (give) to Hayaman (Heman) fourteen banayam (sons) and shalawash (three) banawath (daughters).

7 The masapar (number) of them, with their ach (brother/kinsman) who were lamad (teach / instruct) in shayar (song) to Yahawah (), even all who were skillful, was two maah (hundred) shamanayam (eighty) - shamanah (eight).

8 They napal (fall / be cast down) gawaralawath (lots) for their mashamarath (duty / watch), all alike, as well the qatan (small / young / least) as the gadawal (very great/important/mighty), the teacher as the thalamayad (scholar).

9 Now the raashawan (first) gawaral (lot) yatzaa (go out / come out) forth for Asap (Asaph) to Yawasap (Joseph): the shanay (second) to Gadalayah (Gedaliah); he and his ach (brother/kinsman) and ban (son) were shanayam (two):
