1 In the shash (six) and shalawashayam (thirty) shanah (year) of the malakawath (reign) of Asaa (Asa), Baishaa (Baasha) malakawath (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) ilah (go up / offer) up against Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and banah (build) Ramah (Ramah), that he might not allow anyone to yatzaa (go out / come out) out or bawaa (bring) in to Asaa (Asa) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah).
2 Then Asaa (Asa) yatzaa (go out / come out) out kasap (silver) and zahab (gold) out of the atzarawath (treasures) of the bayath (house) of Yahawah () and of the malak (king) bayath (house), and shalach (send) to Banahadad (Ben Hadad) malak (king) of Aram (Syria), who lived at Damashaq (Damascus), amar (spoke),
3 “Let there be a treaty between me and you, as there was between my ab (father) and your ab (father). Behold, I have shalach (send) you kasap (silver) and zahab (gold). Yalak (go), parar (break) your treaty with Baishaa (Baasha) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel), that he may depart from me.”
4 Banahadad (Ben Hadad) shamai (hearken / hear) to malak (king) Asaa (Asa), and shalach (send) the sharay (captains) of his chayalayam (armies) against the iray (cities) of Yashar-Al (Israel); and they nakah (struck) Iyawan (Ijon), and Dan (Dan), and Abalamayam (Abel Maim), and all the storage iray (cities) of Napathalay (Naphtali).
5 It happened, when Baishaa (Baasha) shamai (hearken / hear) of it, that he chadal (left) off banah (build) Ramah (Ramah), and let his malaakah (work) shabath (shabath / rest).
6 Then Asaa (Asa) the malak (king) laqach (take / seize) all Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah); and they nashaa (lift) away the abanay (stones) of Ramah (Ramah), and its itz (timber), with which Baishaa (Baasha) had banah (build); and he built therewith Gabai (Geba) and Matzapah (Mizpah).
7 At that ith (time) Chananay (Hanani) the seer bawaa (come) to Asaa (Asa) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Judah), and amar (spoke) to him, “Because you have shain (relied) on the malak (king) of Aram (Syria), and have not shain (relied) on Yahawah () your Alahayam (), therefore is the chayal (army) of the malak (king) of Aram (Syria) malat (escaped) out of your yad (hand).
8 Weren't the Kawashay (Ethiopians) and the Lawabay (Lubim) a rab (huge) chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor), with rakab (chariots) and horsemen maad (exceeding) many? Yet, because you shain (relied) on Yahawah (), he nathan (give) them into your yad (hand).
9 For the iyan (eye) of Yahawah () shawat (run) back and forth throughout the whole aratz (Earth/land), to show himself chazaq (strong) in the behalf of them whose labab (heart) is shalam (full / whole / complete) toward him. Herein you have sakal (done) foolishly; for from ithah (now / present moment) you yash (shall) have malachamawath (wars).”
10 Then Asaa (Asa) was kais (angry) with the seer, and nathan (give) him in the mahapakath (prison); for he was in a zaip (rage) with him because of this thing. Asaa (Asa) ratzatz (oppressed) some of the im (nation / people) at the same ith (time).
11 Behold, the dabaray (acts) of Asaa (Asa), raashawan (first) and acharawan (last), behold, they are kathab (write) in the sapar (book / scribed document) of the malakayam (kings) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) and Yashar-Al (Israel).
12 In the shalawashayam (thirty) - thashai (nine) shanah (year) of his malakawath (reign) Asaa (Asa) was chalaa (diseased) in his ragal (feet / foot); his chalay (disease) was mail (top/above) great: yet in his chalay (disease) he didn't darash (seek) Yahawah (), but to the rapaayam (physicians).
13 Asaa (Asa) shakab (slept) with his ab (father), and mawath (death) in the achad (one) and fortieth shanah (year) of his malak (king).
14 They qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher) him in his own tombs, which he had karah (dug) out for himself in the iyar (city) of Dawad (David), and shakab (laid) him in the mashakab (bed) which was malaa (filled) with basham (sweet) odors and various zanayam (kinds) of maraqachayam (spices) prepared by the perfumers’ maishah (art): and they sharap (made) a very gadawal (very great/important/mighty) sharapah (burning) for him.
