Now Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) had riches and honor in rab (abundance); and he chathan (joined) affinity with Achaab (Ahab).
Qatz (after) certain shanayam (two) he yarad (went) down to Achaab (Ahab) to Shamarawan (Samaria). Achaab (Ahab) zabach (killed) tzaan (sheep) and cattle for him in rab (abundance), and for the im (nation / people) who were with him, and sawath (moved) him to ilah (go up / offer) up with him to Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead).
Achaab (Ahab) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) amar (said) to Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), “Will you yalak (go) with me to Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead)?” He amar (said) him, “I am as you are, and my im (nation / people) as your im (nation / people). We will be with you in the malachamah (war).”
Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) amar (spoke) to the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel), “Please darash (inquire) yawam (day) for the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah ().”
Then the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) gathered the nabaayam (prophets) qabatz (together), arabai (four) maah (hundred) ayash (man / husband), and amar (spoke) to them, “Shall we yalak (go) to Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead) to malachamah (battle), or shall I chadal (forbear)?” They amar (spoke), “ilah (go up / offer) up; for Alahayam () will nathan (give) it into the yad (hand) of the malak (king).”
But Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) amar (spoke), “Isn't there here a nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) of Yahawah () besides, that we may darash (inquire) of him?”
The malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) amar (spoke) to Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat), “There is yet achad (one) ayash (man / husband) by whom we may darash (inquire) of Yahawah (); but I shanaa (hate) him, for he never nabaa (prophesies) tawab (good / proper function) concerning me, but yawam (day) rai (evil). He is Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) the ban (son) of Yamalaa (Imla).” Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) amar (spoke), “Don't let the malak (king) amar (spoke) so.”
Then the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) qaraa (called) an sarayas (officer), and amar (said), “Get Mayakah (Micaiah) the ban (son) of Yamalaa (Imla) mahar (quickly).”
Now the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) and Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) the malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) yashab (inhabit/dwell) ayash (man / husband) on his kasaa (throne), labash (arrayed) in their bagadayam (robes), and they were sitting in an open garan (place) at the entrance of the shair (gate) of Shamarawan (Samaria); and all the nabayaayam (prophets) were nabaa (prophesying) panayam (face) them.
Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the ban (son) of Kanainah (Chenaanah) ishah (make) him qaranay (horns) of barazal (iron), and amar (spoke), “Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), ‘With these you shall nagach (push) the Aram (Syrians), until they are kalah (complete / finish).’”
All the nabaayam (prophets) nabaa (prophesied) so, amar (spoke), “ilah (go up / offer) up to Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead), and tzalach (prosper); for Yahawah () will nathan (give) it into the yad (hand) of the malak (king).”
The malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) who halak (move) to qaraa (called) Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) dabar (word / matter) to him, amar (said), “Behold, the dabaray (words) of the nabaayam (prophets) declare tawab (good / proper function) to the malak (king) with achad (one) achad (one). Let your dabar (word / matter) therefore, please be like achad (one) of theirs, and dabar (word / matter) tawab (good / proper function).”
Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) amar (spoke), “As Yahawah () chay (life), what my Alahayam () amar (spoke), that will I dabar (word / matter).”
When he bawaa (bring) come to the malak (king), the malak (king) amar (said) to him, “Mayakah (Micaiah), shall we yalak (go) to Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead) to malachamah (battle), or shall I chadal (forbear)?” He amar (said), “ilah (go up / offer) up, and tzalach (prosper). They shall be nathan (give) into your yad (hand).”
The malak (king) amar (spoke) to him, “How many paimayam (times) shall I shabai (swear / take oath) you that you dabar (word / matter) to me nothing but the amath (truth) in the sham (name) of Yahawah ()?”
He amar (spoke), “I raah (see) all Yashar-Al (Israel) pawatz (scattered) on the harayam (mountains), as tzaan (sheep) that have no raih (shepherd). Yahawah () amar (spoke), ‘These have no adawan (master / lord). Let them shawab (turn back / repent) every ayash (man / husband) to his bayath (house) in shalawam (peace / safety).’”
The malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) amar (said) to Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat), “Didn't I amar (said) you that he would not nabaa (prophesy) tawab (good / proper function) concerning me, but rai (evil)?”
Mayakah (Micaiah) amar (spoke), “Therefore shamai (hearken / hear) the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah (): I raah (see) Yahawah () sitting on his kasaa (throne), and all the tzabaa (troop) of shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens) imad (standing) on his right yamayan (right hand) and on his shamaawal (left hand).
Yahawah () amar (spoke), ‘Who shall pathah (entice) Achaab (Ahab) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel), that he may ilah (go up / offer) up and napal (fall / be cast down) at Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead)?’ One amar (spoke) amar (spoke) in kakah (this) way, and another amar (spoke) in that kakah (way).
A rawach (spirit / wind) yatzaa (go out / come out) out, imad (stood) panayam (face) Yahawah (), and amar (spoke), ‘I will pathah (entice) him.’ “Yahawah () amar (spoke) to him, ‘How?’
“He amar (said), ‘I will yatzaa (go out / come out) forth, and will be a shaqar (lying) rawach (spirit / wind) in the pah (mouth) of all his nabayaa (prophet/prophecy).’ “He amar (said), ‘You will pathah (entice) him, and will yakal (prevail) also. Yatzaa (go out / come out) forth, and ishah (make) so.’
“Now therefore, behold, Yahawah () nathan (give) put a shaqar (lying) rawach (spirit / wind) in the pah (mouth) of these your nabayaa (prophet/prophecy); and Yahawah () has dabar (word / matter) rai (evil) concerning you.”
Then Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the ban (son) of Kanainah (Chenaanah) nagash (came) near, and nakah (struck) Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) on the lachay (cheek), and amar (spoke), “Which darak (way) did the rawach (spirit / wind) of Yahawah () ibar (pass over/through) from me to dabar (word / matter) to you?”
Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) amar (said), “raah (see / saw), you shall see on that yawam (day), when you shall bawaa (bring) into an chadar (inner) room to chabaa (hide) yourself.”
The malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) amar (said), “laqach (take / seize) Mayakayahaw (Micaiah), and shawab (turn) him back to Amawan (Amon) the shar (prince / ruler) of the iyar (city), and to Yawaash (Joash) the malak (king) ban (son);
And amar (said), ‘Thus amaratham (says) the malak (king), “shawam (place / establish / appoint) this fellow in the bayath (house), and akal (eat) him with lacham (bread) of lachatz (affliction) and with mayam (Waters) of lachatz (affliction), until I shawab (turn) in shalawam (peace / safety).”’”
Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) amar (spoke), “If you shawab (turn back / repent) at all in shalawam (peace / safety), Yahawah () has not dabar (word / matter) by me.” He amar (spoke), “shamai (hearken / hear), you imayam (peoples), all of you!”
So the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) and Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) the malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) ilah (go up / offer) up to Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead).
The malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) amar (said) to Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat), “I will disguise myself, and bawaa (bring) into the malachamah (battle); but you labash (put) on your bagad (robes).” So the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) disguised himself; and they bawaa (bring) into the malachamah (battle).
Now the malak (king) of Aram (Syria) had tzawah (commanded) the sharay (captains) of his rakab (chariots), amar (said), “lacham (fight) neither with qatan (small / young / least) nor gadawal (very great/important/mighty), except only with the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel).”
It happened, when the sharay (captains) of the rakab (chariots) raah (see) Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat), that they amar (spoke), “It is the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel)!” Therefore they sabab (turned) around to lacham (fight) against him. But Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) zaiq (cried) out, and Yahawah () izar (helped) him; and Alahayam () sawath (moved) them to depart from him.
It happened, when the sharay (captains) of the rakab (chariots) raah (see / saw) that it was not the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel), that they shawab (turn) back from achar (other) him.
A certain man mashak (drew) his qashath (bow) at random, and nakah (struck) the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) between the dabaqayam (joints) of the armor. Therefore he amar (said) to the driver of the rakab (chariot), “hapak (turn) your yad (hand), and yatzaa (go out / come out) me out of the machanah (army); for I am severely chalah (afflict).”
The malachamah (battle) ilah (go up / offer) that yawam (day). However the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) propped himself up in his marakabah (chariot) nakach (against) the Aram (Syrians) until the irab (evening); and about the ith (time) of the bawaa (bring) down of the shamash (sun), he mawath (death).
