Esther 6 — English–Hebrew Parallel

On that layal (night), the malak (king) couldn't shanah (sleep). He commanded the sapar (book / scribed document) of zakaranawath (records) of the dabaray (chronicles) to be bawaa (bring), and they were qaraa (called) to the malak (king).

It was matzaa (found) kathab (write) that Maradakay (Mordecai) had nagad (told) of Bagathan (Bigthana) and Tharash (Teresh), shanayam (two) of the malak (king) sarayasay (eunuchs), who were doorkeepers, who had tried to shalach (send) yad (hand) on the malak (king) Achashawarawash (Ahasuerus).

The malak (king) amar (said), “What honor and gadawalah (dignity) ishah (make) been bestowed on Maradakay (Mordecai) for this?” Then the malak (king) nairay (servants) who attended him amar (said), “Nothing ishah (make) been done for him.”

The malak (king) amar (said), “Who is in the chatzar (court)?” Now Haman (Haman) bawaa (bring) come into the chayatzawan (outer) chatzar (court) of the malak (king) bayath (house), to amar (said) to the malak (king) about thalah (hanging) Maradakay (Mordecai) on the itz (gallows) that he had kawan (prepared) for him.

The malak (king) nairay (servants) amar (said) to him, “Behold, Haman (Haman) imad (stands) in the chatzar (court).” The malak (king) amar (said), “bawaa (bring) him come in.”

So Haman (Haman) bawaa (bring) in. The malak (king) amar (said) to him, “What shall be ishah (make) to the ayash (man / husband) whom the malak (king) delights to honor?” Now Haman (Haman) amar (said) in his lab (heart), “Who would the malak (king) chapatz (delight) to honor more than myself?”

Haman (Haman) amar (said) to the malak (king), “For the ayash (man / husband) whom the malak (king) chapatz (delights) to honor,

Let malakawath (royal) labawash (clothing) be bawaa (bring) which the malak (king) uses to labash (wear), and the sawas (horse) that the malak (king) rakab (rides) on, and on the raash (head) of which a kathar (crown) malakawath (royal) is nathan (give).

Let the labawash (clothing) and the sawas (horse) be nathan (give) to the yad (hand) of ayash (man / husband) of the malak (king) most paratham (noble) sharay (princes), that they may labash (array) the ayash (man / husband) whom the malak (king) chapatz (delights) to honor with them, and have him rakab (ride) on horseback through the iyar (city) square, and qaraa (called) panayam (face) him, ‘Thus shall it be ishah (make) to the ayash (man / husband) whom the malak (king) chapatz (delights) to honor!’”

Then the malak (king) amar (said) to Haman (Haman), “Hurry and laqach (take / seize) the labawash (clothing) and the sawas (horse), as you have dabar (word / matter), and ishah (make) this for Maradakay (Mordecai) the Yahawaday (Jew), who yashab (inhabit/dwell) at the malak (king) shair (gate). Let nothing napal (fall / be cast down) of all that you have dabar (word / matter).”

Then Haman (Haman) laqach (take / seize) the labawash (clothing) and the sawas (horse), and labash (arrayed) Maradakay (Mordecai), and had him rakab (ride) through the iyar (city) square, and qaraa (called) panayam (face) him, “Thus shall it be ishah (make) to the ayash (man / husband) whom the malak (king) chapatz (delights) to honor!”

Maradakay (Mordecai) shawab (turn) back to the malak (king) shair (gate), but Haman (Haman) hurried to his bayath (house), abal (mourning) and having his raash (head) chapah (covered).

Haman (Haman) recounted to Zarash (Zeresh) his ayashah (woman / wife) and all his ahab (love) everything that had qarah (happened) to him. Then his chakam (wise) men and Zarash (Zeresh) his ayashah (woman / wife) amar (spoke) to him, “If Maradakay (Mordecai), panayam (face) whom you have chalal (begun) to napal (fall / be cast down), is of Yahawaday (Jewish) descent, you will not yakal (prevail) against him, but you will napal (fall / be cast down) napal (fall / be cast down) panayam (face) him.”

While they were yet dabar (word / matter) with him, the malak (king) sarayasay (eunuchs) nagai (came), and hurried to bawaa (bring) Haman (Haman) to the mashathah (banquet) that Asathar (Esther) ishah (make) prepared.
