Again it happened on the yawam (day) when the Alahayam () banay (sons) bawaa (come) to yatzab (present) themselves before Yahawah (), that shatan (satan) bawaa (come) also thawak (midst) them to yatzab (present) himself before Yahawah ().
Yahawah () amar (spoke) to shatan (satan), “ay (where) bawaa (come) you come from?” Shatan (satan) inah (answer / respond) Yahawah (), and inah (answer / respond), “From shawat (going) back and forth in the aratz (Earth/land), and from halak (move) up and down in it.”
Yahawah () amar (spoke) to shatan (satan), “Have you lab (heart) my ibad (servant) Ayawab (Job)? For there is none like him in the aratz (Earth/land), a blameless and an yashar (upright) ayash (man / husband), one who yaraa (fears) Alahayam (), and sawar (turns) away from rai (evil). He still chazaq (maintains) his thamah (integrity), although you incited me against him, to ruin him chanam (without) cause.”
Shatan (satan) inah (answer / respond) Yahawah (), and inah (answer / respond), “iwar (skin) for iwar (skin). Yes, all that a ayash (man / husband) nathan (give) he will give for his napash (soul).
But shalach (send) forth your yad (hand) now, and nagai (touch) his itzam (bone) and his bashar (flesh), and he will renounce you to your panayam (face).”
Yahawah () amar (spoke) to shatan (satan), “Behold, he is in your yad (hand). Only spare his napash (soul).”
So shatan (satan) yatzaa (go out / come out) yatzaa (go out / come out) from the panayam (face) of Yahawah (), and nakah (struck) Ayawab (Job) with painful sores from the kap (sole) of his ragal (feet / foot) to his qadaqad (head).
He laqach (take / seize) for himself a charash (potsherd) to garad (scrape) himself with, and he yashab (inhabit/dwell) thawak (midst) the ashes.
Then his ayashah (woman / wife) amar (spoke) to him, “Do you still chazaq (maintain) your thamah (integrity)? Renounce Alahayam (), and mawath (death).”
But he amar (spoke) to her, “You dabar (word / matter) as achad (one) of the foolish nabalawath (women) would dabar (word / matter). Gam (indeed / moreover)? Shall we qabal (receive) tawab (good / proper function) at the hand of Alahayam (), and shall we not qabal (receive) rai (evil)?” In all this Ayawab (Job) didn't chataa (sin) with his shapah (lips).
Now when Ayawab (Job's) shalawash (three) raiy (friends) shamai (hearken / hear) of all this rai (evil) that bawaa (bring) come on him, they ayash (man / husband) bawaa (bring) from his own maqawam (place): Alayapaz (Eliphaz) the thayamanay (temanite), Baladad (Bildad) the shawachay (shuhite), and Tzawapar (Zophar) the naimathay (naamathite), and they made an appointment yachad (together) to bawaa (bring) to sympathize with him and to nacham (turn away / repent) him.
When they nashaa (lift) up their iyan (eye) from a distance, and didn't recognize him, they nashaa (lift) their qawal (sound / voice), and bakah (wept); and they ayash (man / husband) qarai (tore) his maiyal (robe), and zaraq (sprinkled) ipar (dust) on their raash (head) toward the sky.
So they yashab (inhabit/dwell) down with him on the aratz (Earth/land) shabai (seven) yamayam (days) and shabai (seven) layalawath (nights), and none dabar (word / matter) a dabar (word / matter) to him, for they raah (see / saw) that his kaab (grief) was very gadal (great).
