Psalms 109 — English–Hebrew Parallel

Alahayam () of my thahalah (praise), don't remain charash (silent),

For they pathach (have) opened the pah (mouth) of the rashai (wicked) and the pah (mouth) of maramah (deceit) against me. They have dabar (word / matter) to me with a shaqar (lying) lashawan (tongue / language).

They have also surrounded me with dabaray (words) of hatred, and lacham (fought) against me chanam (without) a cause.

In return for my ahabah (love), they are my shatan (adversaries); but I am in thapalah (prayer).

They have shawam (place / establish / appoint) me rai (evil) for tawab (good / proper function), and hatred for my ahabah (love).

Paqad (visit) a rashai (wicked) man over him. Let an shatan (adversary) imad (stand) at his right yamayan (right hand).

When he is shapat (judge / judgement), yatzaa (go out / come out) him come forth rashai (guilty). Let his thapalah (prayer) be turned into chataah (sin).

Let his yawam (day) be mait (few). Let achar (other) laqach (take / seize) his paqadah (office).

Let his ban (son) be yathawam (fatherless), and his ayashah (woman / wife) a alamanah (widow).

Let his ban (son) be nawai (wandering) beggars. Let them be darash (sought) from their ruins.

Let the nashah (creditor) seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his yagayai (labor).

Let there be no one to mashak (extend) chasad (grace) to him, neither let there be anyone to chanan (showing favor) pity on his yathawam (fatherless) children.

Let his acharayath (posterity) be karath (cut) off. In the dawar (generation / age / period) achar (other) let their sham (name) be machah (blotted) out.

Let the iwan (guilt/iniquity) of his ab (father) be zakar (remember) by Yahawah (). Don't let the chataah (sin) of his am (mother) be machah (blotted) out.

Let them be before Yahawah () continually, that he may karath (cut) off their zakar (remember) from the aratz (Earth/land);

Because he didn't zakar (remember) to show chasad (grace), but radap (persecuted) the inay (poor) and abayawan (needy) ayash (man / husband), the kaah (broken) in labab (heart), to mawath (death) them.

Yes, he ahab (love) qalalah (cursing), and it bawaa (bring) to him. He didn't chapatz (delight) in barakah (blessing), and it was rachaq (far) from him.

He labash (clothed) himself also with qalalah (cursing) as with his mad (garment). It bawaa (bring) into his qarab (among / near) parts like mayam (Waters), like shaman (oil) into his itzam (bones).

Let it be to him as the bagad (clothing) with which he itah (covers) himself, for the belt that is thamayad (always) around him.

This is the pailah (reward) of my shatan (adversaries) from Yahawah (), of those who dabar (word / matter) rai (evil) against my napash (soul).

But ishah (make) with me, Yahawah () the Adanay (), for your sham (name) sake, because your loving chasad (grace) is tawab (good / proper function), natzal (deliver) me;

For I am inay (poor) and abayawan (needy). My lab (heart) is wounded qarab (among / near) me.

I fade halak (move) like an evening tzal (shadow). I am nair (shaken) off like a arabah (locust).

My barak (blessed) are kashal (stumble / stagger) through tzawam (fasting). My bashar (flesh) is thin and lacks shaman (fat).

I have also become a charapah (reproach) to them. When they raah (see / saw) me, they nawai (shake) their raash (head).

Izar (help) me, Yahawah (), my Alahayam (). Yashai (salvation) me according to your loving chasad (grace);

That they may yadai (know) that this is your yad (hand); that you, Yahawah (), ishah (make) done it.

They may qalal (curse), but you barak (blessed). When they qawam (rise up), they will be bawash (shamed), but your ibad (servant) shall shamach (rejoice).

Let my shatan (adversaries) be labash (clothed) with dishonor. Let them itah (cover) themselves with their own bashath (shame) as with a maiyal (robe).

I will give maad (great) yadah (thanks) to Yahawah () with my pah (mouth). Yes, I will halal (praise) him thawak (midst) the rab (multitude).

For he will imad (stand) at the right yamayan (right hand) of the abayawan (needy), to yashai (salvation) him from those who shapat (judge / judgement) his napash (soul).
