1 Why do the gawayam (heathen) ragash (rage), and the laamayam (peoples) plot a rayaq (vain) thing?
2 The malakay (kings) of the aratz (Earth/land) take a yatzab (stand), and the rawazanayam (rulers) take yasad (counsel) yachad (together), against Yahawah (), and against his mashayach (anointed one), saying,
3 “Let's nathaq (break) their mawasar (bonds) apart, and shalak (cast) their cords from us.”
4 He who yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens) will shachaq (laugh). The Adanay () will laig (have) them in derision.
5 Then he will dabar (word / matter) to them in his ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting), and terrify them in his charawan (wrath):
6 “Yet I have nasak (set) my malak (king) on my qadash (set apart / make holy) har (mountain) of Tzayawan (Zion).”
7 I will sapar (book) of the chaq (statute). Yahawah () amar (spoke) to me, “You are my ban (son). Today I have become your yalad (birth / begot).
8 Shaal (ask) of me, and I will nathan (give) the gawayam (heathen) for your nachalah (inheritance), the apas (uttermost) parts of the aratz (Earth/land) for your achazah (possession).
9 You shall raii (wicked / dysfunctional / evil) them with a shabat (rod) of barazal (iron). You shall napatz (dash) them in pieces like a yatzar (potter's) kalay (vessel).”
10 Now therefore be shakal (wise), you malakayam (kings). Be yasar (instructed), you shapatay (judges) of the aratz (Earth/land).
11 Ibad (servant) Yahawah () with yaraah (fear), and gayal (rejoice) with raid (trembling).
12 Give sincere homage to the bar (son), lest he be anap (angry), and you abad (destroy / perish) in the darak (way), for his ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) will mait (soon) be bair (kindled). Ashar (who/that) are all those who take chasah (refuge) in him.
