Psalms 91 — English–Hebrew Parallel

He who yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the sathar (secret / hidden) place of the Most ilayawan (Ilayawan) will lawan (rest) in the tzal (shadow) of the Shaday ().

I will amar (spoke) of Yahawah (), “He is my machasah (refuge) and my matzawad (fortress); my Alahayam (), in whom I batach (trust).”

Kay (Surely) he will natzal (deliver) you from the pach (snare) of the yaqawash (fowler), and from the dabar (word / matter) of Hawah (calamity / destruction).

He will sakak (cover) you with his abarah (feathers). Under his kanap (wings) you will take chasah (refuge). His amath (truth) is your tzanah (shield) and rampart.

You shall not be yaraa (fear / be afraid) of the pachad (fear / dread) by layal (night), nor of the chatz (arrow) that iwap (flying) by yawamam (by day);

Nor of the dabar (word / matter) that halak (move) in apal (darkness), nor of the qatab (destruction) that shawad (wastes) at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.

You will only look with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked.

Because athah (you) have shawam (made) Yahawah () your machasah (refuge), and the Ilayawan (The Most High) your dawaaray (dwelling) sabayab (place),

No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.

For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways.

They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won't dash your foot against a stone.

You will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.

“Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.

He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.

I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.”
