All the idah (congregation) of the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) traveled from the madabar (wilderness) of sayan (sin), by their masai (journeys), according to Yahawah () commandment, and chanah (encamped) in Rapayadayam (Rephidim); but there was no mayam (Waters) for the im (nation / people) to shathah (drinks).
Therefore the im (nation / people) quarreled with Mashah (Moses), and amar (spoke), “nathan (give) us mayam (Waters) to shathah (drinks).” Mashah (Moses) amar (spoke) to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test Yahawah ()?”
The im (nation / people) were tzamaa (thirsty) for mayam (Waters) there; and the im (nation / people) lawan (murmured) against Mashah (Moses), and amar (said), “Why have you ilah (go up / offer) us up out of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), to mawath (death) us, our ban (son), and our livestock with tzamaa (thirst)?”
Mashah (Moses) tzaiq (cried) to Yahawah (), amar (spoke), “What shall I ishah (make) with these im (nation / people)? They are mait (almost) ready to saqal (stone) me.”
Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Mashah (Moses), “Walk on panayam (face) the im (nation / people), and laqach (take / seize) the zaqanay (elders) of Yashar-Al (Israel) with you, and laqach (take / seize) the matah (staff / rod / tribe) in your yad (hand) with which you nakah (struck) the Yaar (Nile), and halak (move).
Behold, I will imad (stand) panayam (face) you there on the tzawar (rock) in Charab (Horeb). You shall nakah (strike) the tzawar (rock), and mayam (Waters) will yatzaa (go out / come out) out of it, that the im (nation / people) may shathah (drinks).” Mashah (Moses) ishah (make) so in the iyan (eye) of the zaqanay (elders) of Yashar-Al (Israel).
He qaraa (called) the sham (name) of the maqawam (place) Masah (Massah), and Marayabah (Meribah), because the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) quarreled, and because they tested Yahawah (), amar (spoke), “Is Yahawah () qarab (among / near) us, or not?”
Then Imalaq (Amalek) bawaa (bring) and lacham (fought) with Yashar-Al (Israel) in Rapayadayam (Rephidim).
Mashah (Moses) amar (spoke) to Yahawashawai (Joshua), “bachar (choose) anashayam (men) for us, and go out, lacham (fight) with Imalaq (Amalek). Machar (tomorrow) I will natzab (stand) on the raash (head) of the gabaih (hill) with Alahayam () matah (staff / rod / tribe) in my yad (hand).”
So Yahawashawai (Joshua) ishah (make) as Mashah (Moses) had amar (said) him, and lacham (fought) with Imalaq (Amalek); and Mashah (Moses), Aharawan (Aaron), and Chawar (Hur) ilah (go up / offer) up to the raash (head) of the gabaih (hill).
It happened, when Mashah (Moses) rawam (will lift up) up his yad (hand), that Yashar-Al (Israel) gabar (prevailed); and when he nawach (let) down his yad (hand), Imalaq (Amalek) gabar (prevailed).
But Mashah (Moses)’ yaday (hands) were kabad (heavy); and they laqach (take / seize) a aban (stone), and shawam (place / establish / appoint) it under him, and he yashab (inhabit/dwell) on it. Aharawan (Aaron) and Chawar (Hur) thamak (held) up his yaday (hands), the one on the one side, and the other on the other side. His yaday (hands) were amawanah (steady) until sunset.
Yahawashawai (Joshua) defeated Imalaq (Amalek) and his im (nation / people) with the pah (edge) of the charab (sword).
Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Mashah (Moses), “kathab (write) this for a zakarawan (memorial) in a sapar (book / scribed document), and shawam (place / establish / appoint) it in the azanay (ears) of Yahawashawai (Joshua): that I will machah (utterly) machah (blot) out the zakar (remember) of Imalaq (Amalek) from under the sky.”
Mashah (Moses) banah (build) an mazabach (altar), and qaraa (called) its sham (name) “Yahawah () our Banner”.
He amar (spoke), “Yah () has yad (hand): ‘Yahawah () will have malachamah (war) with Imalaq (Amalek) from dawar (generation / age / period) to dawar (generation / age / period).’”
