Now Yatharaw (Jethro), the kahan (priest) of Madayan (Midian), Mashah (Moses)’ father-in-law, shamai (hearken / hear) of all that Alahayam () ishah (make) done for Mashah (Moses), and for Yashar-Al (Israel) his im (nation / people), how that Yahawah () yatzaa (go out / come out) brought Yashar-Al (Israel) out of Matzarayam (Egypt).
Yatharaw (Jethro), Mashah (Moses)’ father-in-law, laqach (take / seize) Tzaparah (Zipporah), Mashah (Moses)’ ayashah (woman / wife), achar (other) he shalawach (had) sent her away,
And her shanayam (two) ban (son). The sham (name) of achad (one) son was Garasham (Gershom), for Mashah (Moses) amar (spoke), “I have lived as a foreigner in a foreign aratz (Earth/land)”.
The sham (name) of the other was Alayaizar (Eliezer), for he said, “My ab (father) Alahayam () was my izar (help) and natzal (delivered) me from Paraih (Pharaoh's) charab (sword).”
Yatharaw (Jethro), Mashah (Moses)’ father-in-law, bawaa (come) with his’ ban (son) and his ayashah (woman / wife) to Mashah (Moses) into the madabar (wilderness) where he was chanah (encamped), at the har (mountain) of Alahayam ().
He amar (said) to Mashah (Moses), “I, your father-in-law Yatharaw (Jethro), bawaa (bring) come to you with your ayashah (woman / wife), and her shanayam (two) ban (son) with her.”
Mashah (Moses) yatzaa (go out / come out) out to qaraah (meet) his father-in-law, and shachah (bowed) and nashaq (kissed) him. They shaal (asked) ayash (man / husband) other of their shalawam (peace / safety), and they bawaa (bring) into the ahal (tent).
Mashah (Moses) sapar (book) his father-in-law all that Yahawah () ishah (make) done to Paraih (Pharaoh) and to the Matzarayam (Egyptians) for Yashar-Al (Israel's) awadawath (sake), all the hardships that matzaa (had) come on them on the darak (way), and how Yahawah () natzal (delivered) them.
Yatharaw (Jethro) chadah (rejoiced) for all the goodness which Yahawah () ishah (make) done to Yashar-Al (Israel), in that he had natzal (delivered) them out of the yad (hand) of the Matzarayam (Egyptians).
Yatharaw (Jethro) amar (spoke), “barak (blessed) be Yahawah (), who has natzal (delivered) you out of the yad (hand) of the Matzarayam (Egyptians), and out of the yad (hand) of Paraih (Pharaoh); who has natzal (delivered) the im (nation / people) from under the yad (hand) of the Matzarayam (Egyptians).
Now I yadai (know) that Yahawah () is greater than all Alahayam () dabar (word / matter) of the thing in which they dealt arrogantly against them.”
Yatharaw (Jethro), Mashah (Moses)’ father-in-law, laqach (take / seize) a burnt ilah (offering) and zabachayam (sacrifices) for Alahayam (). Aharawan (Aaron) bawaa (come) with all of the zaqanay (elders) of Yashar-Al (Israel), to akal (eat) lacham (bread) with Mashah (Moses)’ father-in-law panayam (face) Alahayam ().
It happened on the next macharath (day), that Mashah (Moses) yashab (inhabit/dwell) to shapat (judge / judgement) the im (nation / people), and the im (nation / people) imad (stood) around Mashah (Moses) from the baqar (morning) to the irab (evening).
When Mashah (Moses)’ father-in-law raah (see / saw) all that he ishah (make) to the im (nation / people), he amar (said), “dabar (word / matter) is this thing that you ishah (make) for the im (nation / people)? Why do you yashab (inhabit/dwell) alone, and all the im (nation / people) natzab (stand) around you from baqar (morning) to irab (evening)?”
Mashah (Moses) amar (spoke) to his father-in-law, “Because the im (nation / people) bawaa (come) to me to darash (inquire) of Alahayam ().
When they have a dabar (word / matter), they bawaa (come) to me, and I shapat (judge / judgement) between a ayash (man / husband) and his neighbor, and I yadai (make) them know the chaqay (statutes) of Alahayam (), and his thawarah (instruction).”
Mashah (Moses)’ father-in-law amar (said) to him, “The thing that you ishah (make) is not tawab (good / proper function).
You will nabal (surely) wear nabal (away), both you, and this im (nation / people) that is with you; for the thing is too kabad (heavy) for you. You are not yakal (able) to ishah (make) it yourself alone.
Shamai (hearken / hear) now to my qawal (sound / voice). I will give you yaitz (counsel), and Alahayam () be with you. You represent the im (nation / people) before Alahayam (), and bawaa (come) the dabarayam (causes) to Alahayam ().
You shall zahar (warn) them the chaqayam (statutes) and the thawarath (laws), and shall show them the darak (way) in which they must yalak (walk), and the maishah (work) that they must ishah (make).
Moreover you shall chazah (provide) out of all the im (nation / people) chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) im (nation / people), such as yaraa (fear) Alahayam (): im (nation / people) of amath (truth), shanaa (hate) unjust batzai (gain); and shawam (place / establish / appoint) such over them, to be sharay (rulers) of alapayam (thousands), sharay (rulers) of maawath (hundreds), sharay (rulers) of chamashayam (fifties), and sharay (rulers) of isharath (tens).
Let them shapat (judge / judgement) the im (nation / people) at all ith (times). It shall be that every gadawal (very great/important/mighty) dabar (word / matter) they shall bawaa (bring) to you, but every qatan (small / young / least) dabar (word / matter) they shall shapat (judge / judgement) themselves. So shall it be easier for you, and they shall share the load with you.
If you will ishah (make) this thing, and Alahayam () tzawah (commands) you so, then you will be yakal (able) to imad (endure), and all of these im (nation / people) also will bawaa (come) to their maqawam (place) in shalawam (peace / safety).”
So Mashah (Moses) shamai (hearken / hear) to the qawal (sound / voice) of his father-in-law, and ishah (make) all that he had amar (said).
Mashah (Moses) bachar (chose) chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) anashay (men) out of all Yashar-Al (Israel), and nathan (give) them raashayam (heads) over the im (nation / people), sharay (rulers) of alapayam (thousands), sharay (rulers) of maawath (hundreds), sharay (rulers) of chamashayam (fifties), and sharay (rulers) of isharath (tens).
They shapat (judge / judgement) the im (nation / people) at all ith (times). They bawaa (bring) the qashah (rough / hard) dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses), but every qatan (small / young / least) dabar (word / matter) they shapat (judge / judgement) themselves.
Mashah (Moses) let his father-in-law depart, and he yalak (went) his aratz (Earth/land) into his own land.
