The mashalay (proverbs) of Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch), the ban (son) of Dawad (David), malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel):

To yadai (know) chakamah (wisdom) and mawasar (instruction); to bayan (between) the amaray (Amaray / Amorite) of bayanah (understanding);

To laqach (take / seize) mawasar (instruction) in shakal (wise) dealing, in tzadaq (righteous / just / fair), tzadaq (righteous / just / fair), and mayashar (equity);

To nathan (give) iramah (prudence) to the pathay (simple), daith (knowledge) and mazamah (discretion) to the nair (young) man:

That the chakam (wise) man may shamai (hearken / hear), and yasap (increase) in laqach (learning); that the bayan (between) of understanding may qanah (attain) to sound thachabalah (counsel):

To bayan (between) a mashal (proverb), and parables, the dabaray (words) and chayadah (riddles) of the chakam (wise).

The yaraah (fear) of Yahawah () is the raashayath (beginning) of daith (knowledge); but the awayal (foolish) bawaz (despise) chakamah (wisdom) and mawasar (instruction).

My ban (son), shamai (hearken / hear) to your ab (father) mawasar (instruction), and don't natash (forsake) your am (mother) teaching:

For they will be a garland to chan (favor) your raash (head), and inaqayam (chains) around your garagarawath (neck).

My ban (son), if chataayam (sinners) pathah (entice) you, don't abah (be willing / desire).

If they amar (said), “yalak (come) with us, Let's arab (lay) in wait for dam (blood); let's tzapan (lurk) secretly for the naqay (innocent) chanam (without) cause;

Let's balai (swallow) them up chay (life) like shaawal (Sheol / afterlife), and thamayam (complete / whole), like those who yarad (go) down into the bawar (pit).

We'll matzaa (find) all valuable hawan (wealth). We'll malaa (fill) our bayath (house) with shalal (spoil).

You shall napal (fall / be cast down) your gawaral (lot) thawak (midst) us. We'll all have achad (one) kayas (purse).”

My ban (son), don't yalak (walk) in the darak (way) with them. Manai (keep) your ragal (feet / foot) from their nathayab (path),

For their ragal (feet / foot) rawatz (run) to rai (evil). They hurry to shapak (shed) dam (blood).

For in chanam (vain) is the rashath (net) zarah (spread) in the iyan (eye) of any bail (bird):

But these arab (lay) wait for their own dam (blood). They tzapan (lurk) secretly for their napash (soul) lives.

So are the arachawath (ways) of everyone who is batzai (greedy) for batzai (gain). It laqach (take / seize) away the napash (soul) of its owners.

Chakamawath (wisdom) calls aloud in the chawatz (street). She nathan (give) her qawal (sound / voice) in the public squares.

She qaraa (called) at the raash (head) of noisy raash (head). At the pathach (entrance) of the iyar (city) shairayam (gates), she amar (said) her amar (said):

“How long, you pathay (simple) ones, will you ahab (love) simplicity? How long will latzayam (mockers) chamad (delight) themselves in mockery, and kasayalayam (fools) shanaa (hate) daith (knowledge)?

Shawab (turn) at my thawakachah (reproof). Behold, I will nabai (pour) out my rawach (spirit / wind) on you. I yadai (will) make known my dabar (word / matter) to you.

Because I have qaraa (called), and you have maan (refused); I have natah (stretched) out my yad (hand), and no qashab (one) has paid attention;

But you have ignored all my itzah (counsel), and wanted none of my thawakachah (reproof);

I also will shachaq (laugh) at your disaster. I will laig (mock) when calamity overtakes you;

When calamity overtakes you like a sawapah (storm), when your disaster athah (you (masc)) on like a sawapah (whirlwind); when tzarah (distress) and tzawaq (anguish) bawaa (bring) on you.

Then will they qaraa (called) on me, but I will not inah (answer / respond). They will shachar (seek) me diligently, but they will not matzaa (find) me;

Because they shanaa (hate) daith (knowledge), and didn't bachar (choose) the yaraah (fear) of Yahawah ().

They wanted none of my itzah (counsel). They naatz (despised) all my thawakachah (reproof).

Therefore they will akal (eat) of the paray (fruit) of their own darak (way), and be shabai (filled) with their own schemes.

For the mashawabah (backsliding) of the pathay (simple) will harag (kill) them. The careless ease of kasayalayam (fools) will abad (destroy / perish) them.

But whoever shamai (hearken / hear) to me will shakan (place) securely, and will be at shaan (ease), without pachad (fear / dread) of rai (harm).”
