Proverbs 24 — English–Hebrew Parallel

Don't be qanaa (jealous) of rai (evil) anashay (men); neither awah (desire) to be with them:

For their lab (heart) plot violence, and their shapah (lips) dabar (word / matter) about imal (mischief).

Through chakamah (wisdom) a bayath (house) is banah (build); by thabawan (understanding) it is kawan (established);

By daith (knowledge) the rooms are malaa (filled) with all rare and beautiful treasure.

A chakam (wise) gabar (man) has great kach (strength / mighty / power); and a knowledgeable ayash (man / husband) amatz (increases) kach (strength / mighty / power);

For by wise guidance you wage your malachamah (war); and thashawaih (deliverance) is in many advisors.

Chakamawath (wisdom) is rawam (will lift up) high for a awayal (fool): he doesn't pathach (open) his pah (mouth) in the shair (gate).

Chashab (one) who plots to do raii (wicked / dysfunctional / evil) will be qaraa (called) a schemer.

The schemes of awalath (folly) are chataah (sin). The lawatz (mocker) is detested by adam (men).

If you falter in the yawam (day) of tzarah (trouble), your kach (strength / mighty / power) is tzar (oppressor / distressor).

Natzal (rescue) those who are being led away to mawath (death)! Indeed, chashak (darkness) back those who are staggering to the harag (kill)!

If you amar (said), “Behold, we didn't yadai (know) this;” doesn't he who thakan (weighs) the labawath (hearts) bayan (between) it? He who natzar (keeps) your napash (soul), doesn't he yadai (know) it? Shall he not shawab (turn) to every adam (man) according to his pail (work)?

My ban (son), akal (eat) dabash (honey), for it is tawab (good / proper function); the droppings of the napath (honeycomb), which are mathawaq (sweet) to your chak (taste):

So you shall yadai (know) chakamah (wisdom) to be to your napash (soul); if you matzaa (have) found it, then there yash (will) be a acharayath (reward), your thaqawah (hope) will not be karath (cut) off.

Don't arab (lay) in wait, rashai (wicked) man, against the nawah (habitation) of the tzadayaq (righteous). Don't shadad (destroy) his rabatz (resting) place:

For a tzadayaq (righteous) man napal (fall / be cast down) shabai (seven) times, and qawam (rise up) up again; but the rashai (wicked) are kashal (stumble / stagger) by rai (calamity).

Don't shamach (rejoice) when your ayab (enemy) napal (fall / be cast down). Don't let your lab (heart) be gayal (glad) when he is kashal (stumble / stagger);

Lest Yahawah () raah (see) it, and it raii (wicked / dysfunctional / evil) him, and he shawab (turn back / repent) away his ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) from him.

Don't charah (hot with anger) yourself because of evildoers; neither be qanaa (jealous) of the rashai (wicked):

For there will be no acharayath (reward) to the rai (evil) man; and the nayar (lamp) of the rashai (wicked) shall be snuffed out.

My ban (son), yaraa (fear / be afraid) Yahawah () and the malak (king). Don't join those who are rebellious:

For their ayad (calamity) will qawam (rise up) pathaawam (suddenly); the payad (destruction) from them both—who yadai (knows)?

These also are sayings of the chakam (wise). To show partiality in mashapat (judgment) is not tawab (good / proper function).

He who amar (said) to the rashai (wicked), “You are tzadayaq (righteous);” imayam (peoples) shall naqab (curse) him, and imayam (nations) shall zaim (abhor) him—

But it will go well with those who convict the guilty, and a rich barakah (blessing) will bawaa (bring) on them.

An honest dabar (word / matter) is like a nashaq (kiss) on the shapathayam (lips).

Kawan (prepare) your malaakah (work) outside, and get your shadah (fields) ithad (ready). Afterwards, banah (build) your bayath (house).

Don't be a id (until / as far as) against your neighbor chanam (without) cause. Don't pathah (deceive) with your shapah (lips).

Don't amar (said), “I will ishah (make) to him as he ishah (make) done to me; I will shawab (turn) to the ayash (man / husband) according to his pail (work).”

I ibar (pass over/through) by the shadah (field) of the sluggard, by the karam (vineyard) of the adam (man) chasar (void) of lab (heart);

Behold, it was all ilah (go up / offer) over with qamashanayam (thorns). Its surface was kasah (covered) with charalayam (nettles), and its aban (stone) gadar (wall) was haras (broken) down.

Then I chazah (saw), and shayath (put / appoint / make) well. I raah (see / saw), and laqach (take / seize) mawasar (instruction):

A mait (little) shanah (sleep), a mait (little) thanawamah (slumber), a mait (little) chabaq (folding) of the yadayam (hands) to sleep;

So your rayash (poverty) will bawaa (bring) as a robber, and your machasawar (want) as an magan (shield) ayash (man / husband).
