1 My ban (son), pay attention to my chakamah (wisdom). Natah (turn) your azan (ear) to my thabawan (understanding):
2 That you may maintain mazamah (discretion), that your shapah (lips) may natzar (preserve) daith (knowledge).
3 For the shapathay (lips) of an adulteress drip honey. Her chak (mouth) is smoother than shaman (oil),
4 But in the acharayath (end) she is as mar (bitter) as lainah (wormwood), and as chad (sharp) as a pah (two-edged) charab (sword).
5 Her ragal (feet / foot) yarad (go) down to mawath (death). Her tzaid (steps) lead thamak (straight) to shaawal (Sheol / afterlife).
6 She gives no thought to the maigal (way) of chay (life). Her maigal (ways) are crooked, and she doesn't yadai (know) it.
7 Now therefore, my banayam (sons), shamai (hearken / hear) to me. Don't sawar (depart) from the amaray (Amaray / Amorite) of my pah (mouth).
8 Rachaq (remove) your darak (way) rachaq (far) from her. Don't qarab (come close) near the pathach (door) of her bayath (house),
9 Lest you nathan (give) your honor to others, and your shanah (years) to the akazaray (cruel) one;
10 Lest strangers feast on your kach (strength / mighty / power), and your itzab (labors) enrich another nakaray (man's) bayath (house).
11 You will groan at your acharayath (latter) end, when your bashar (flesh) and your bashar (flesh) are kalah (complete / finish),
12 And amar (said), “How I have shanaa (hate) mawasar (instruction), and my lab (heart) naatz (despised) thawakachah (reproof);
13 Neither have I shamai (hearken / hear) the qawal (sound / voice) of my teachers, nor natah (turned) my azan (ear) to those who lamad (teach / instruct) me!
14 I have come to the brink of utter ruin, in the thawak (midst) of the gathered qahal (assembly).”
15 Shathah (drinks) mayam (Waters) out of your own bawar (cistern), running nazal (water) out of your own baar (well).
16 Should your maiyan (springs) overflow in the rachabawath (streets), palagay (streams) of mayam (Waters) in the public squares?
17 Let them be for yourself zawar (alone), not for strangers with you.
18 Let your maqawar (spring) be barak (blessed). Shamach (rejoice) in the ayashah (woman / wife) of your naiwar (youth).
19 A ahab (love) doe and a graceful deer— let her dad (breasts) rawah (satisfy) you at all ith (times). Be captivated thamayad (always) with her ahabah (love).
20 For why should you, my ban (son), be captivated with an adulteress? Why chabaq (embrace) the chayaq (bosom) of another?
21 For the darakay (ways) of ayash (man / husband) are nakach (before) the iyanay (eyes) of Yahawah (). He examines all his maigal (paths).
22 The iwan (guilt/iniquity) deeds of the rashai (wicked) ensnare him. The chabalay (cords) of his chataah (sin) thamak (hold) him firmly.
23 He will mawath (death) for lack of mawasar (instruction). In the greatness of his awalath (folly), he will shagah (go) astray.
