Isaiah 45 — English–Hebrew Parallel

Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah () to his mashayach (anointed one), to Kawarash (Cyrus), whose right yamayan (right hand) I have chazaq (held), to radad (subdue) gawayam (nations) panayam (face) him, and strip malakayam (kings) of their armor; to pathach (open) the dalathayam (doors) panayam (face) him, and the dalathayam (gates) shall not be sagar (shut):

“I will yalak (go) panayam (face) you, and yashar (upright) the rough hadawarayam (places) smooth. I will break the dalathawath (doors) of nachawashah (brass) in shabar (pieces), and gadai (cut) apart the barayachay (bars) of barazal (iron).

I will nathan (give) you the awatzarawath (treasures) of chashak (darkness), and matamawan (hidden) riches of masathar (secret) places, that you may yadai (know) that it is I, Yahawah (), who qaraa (called) you by your sham (name), even the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel).

For Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch) my ibad (servant) sake, and Yashar-Al (Israel) my bachayar (chosen), I have qaraa (called) you by your sham (name). I have kanah (surnamed) you, though you yadai (have) not known me.

I am Yahawah (), and there is none else. Zawalah (besides) me, there is no Alahayam (). I will strengthen you, though you yadai (have) not known me;

That they may yadai (know) from the mazarach (rising) of the shamash (sun), and from the mairab (west), that there is apas (none) balaiday (besides) me. I am Yahawah (), and there is no one else.

I yatzar (form) the awar (light), and baraa (created) chashak (darkness). I ishah (make) shalawam (peace / safety), and baraa (created) rai (calamity). I am Yahawah (), who ishah (make) all these things.

Raip (distil), you shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens), from mail (top/above), and let the shachaqayam (skies) nazal (pour) down tzadaq (righteous / just / fair). Let the aratz (Earth/land) pathach (open), that it may parah (bring) forth yashai (salvation), and let it cause tzadaqah (righteousness) to tzamach (spring) up with it. I, Yahawah (), have baraa (created) it.

Haway (Alas/Woe!) To him who rayab (strives) with his yatzar (maker)— a clay pot among the clay pots of the adamah (earth)! Shall the chamar (clay) ask him who yatzar (fashions) it, ‘What are you ishah (make)?’ Or your pail (work), ‘He has no yadayam (hands)?’

Haway (Alas/Woe!) To him who amar (said) to a ab (father), ‘What have you become the yalad (birth / begot) of?’ Or to a ayashah (woman / wife), ‘To what have you given birth?’”

Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), the qadawash (holy) One of Yashar-Al (Israel), and his yatzar (maker): “You shaal (ask) me about the things that are to athah (you (masc)), concerning my ban (son), and you tzawah (command) me concerning the pail (work) of my yad (hand)!

I ishah (make) made the aratz (Earth/land), and baraa (created) adam (man) on it. I, even my yad (hand), have natah (stretched) out the shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens); and I have tzawah (commanded) all their tzabaa (troop).

I have iwar (rouse / awaken) him up in tzadaq (righteous / just / fair), and I will make yashar (upright) all his darak (ways). He shall banah (build) my iyar (city), and he shall let my exiles shalach (send) free, not for machayar (price) nor shachad (reward),” amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies).

Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (): “The yagayai (labor) of Matzarayam (Egypt), and the sachar (merchandise) of Kawash (Ethiopia), and the Sabaay (Sabeans), anashay (men) of madah (stature), shall ibar (pass over/through) over to you, and they shall be yours. They will yalak (go) achar (other) you. They shall ibar (pass over/through) over in zaqayam (chains); and they will shachah (bow) down to you. They will palal (make) supplication to you: ‘Surely Alahayam () is in you; and there is apas (none) else. There is no other Alahayam ().

Most akan (certainly) you are a Al who sathar (hidden) yourself, Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), the Savior.’”

They will be disappointed, yes, kalam (confounded), all of them. Those who are charashay (makers) of tzayarayam (idols) will halak (move) into kalamah (confusion) yachad (together).

Yashar-Al (Israel) will be yashai (salvation) by Yahawah () with an iwalam (forever) thashawaih (deliverance). You will not be disappointed nor bawash (confounded) to ages id (until / as far as).

For thus amar (spoke) Yahawah () who baraa (created) the shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens), the Alahayam () who yatzar (formed) the aratz (Earth/land) and ishah (make) it, who kawan (established) it and didn't baraa (created) it a thahaw (formless), who yatzar (formed) it to be yashab (inhabit/dwell): “I am Yahawah (); and there is no other.

I have not dabar (word / matter) in sathar (secret / hidden), in a maqawam (place) of the aratz (Earth/land) of chashak (darkness). I didn't amar (spoke) to the zarai (seed) of Yaiqab (Jacob), ‘baqash (seek) me in thahaw (formless).’ I, Yahawah (), dabar (word / matter) tzadaq (righteous / just / fair). I nagad (declare) things that are mayashar (right).

“Qabatz (assemble) yourselves and bawaa (bring). Nagash (draw) near yachad (together), you who have palayat (escaped) from the gawayam (heathen). Those have no yadai (knowledge) who nashaa (lift) the itz (wood) of their engraved pasal (image), and palal (pray) to a Al that can't yashai (salvation).

Nagad (declare) and nagash (present) it. Yes, let them take yaitz (counsel) yachad (together). Who has shown this from qadam (ancient) time? Who has nagad (declared) it of old? Haven't I, Yahawah ()? There is no other Alahayam () balaiday (besides) me, a tzadayaq (righteous) Al and a Savior; There is no ayan (NO ONE) zawalah (besides) me.

“Panah (turn) to me, and be yashai (salvation), all the apasay (ends) of the aratz (Earth/land); for I am Al, and there is no other.

I have shabai (swear / take oath) by myself, the dabar (word / matter) yatzaa (go out / come out) gone out of my pah (mouth) in tzadaqah (righteousness), and will not shawab (turn), that to me every barak (blessed) shall karai (bow), every lashawan (tongue / language) shall take an shabai (swear / take oath).

They will amar (spoke) of me, ‘There is tzadaqah (righteousness) and iz (strength / might / refuge) only in Yahawah ().’” Even to him shall men bawaa (come); and all those who were charah (hot with anger) against him shall be disappointed.

In Yahawah () shall all the zarai (seed) of Yashar-Al (Israel) be justified, and shall glory.
