Jeremiah 33 — English–Hebrew Parallel

Moreover the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to Yaramayah (Jeremiah) the shanay (second) time, while he was yet itzar (shut) up in the chatzar (court) of the guard, amar (spoke),

“Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah () who ishah (make) it, Yahawah () who yatzar (forms) it to kawan (establish) it; Yahawah () is his sham (name):

‘Qaraa (called) to me, and I will inah (answer / respond) you, and will show you gadawal (very great/important/mighty) things, and difficult, which you don't yadai (know).’

For thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), concerning the bathay (houses) of this iyar (city), and concerning the bathay (houses) of the malakay (kings) of Yahawadah (Judah), which are nathatz (broken) down to make a defense against the mounds and against the charab (sword);

While men bawaa (bring) to lacham (fight) with the Kashaday (Chaldeans), and to malaa (fill) them with the pagar (dead) bodies of adam (men), whom I have nakah (killed) in my ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) and in my chamah (wrath), and for all whose rai (wickedness) I have sathar (hidden) my panayam (face) from this iyar (city):

‘Behold, I will ilah (go up / offer) it arawakah (health) and marapaa (cure), and I will rapaa (cure) them; and I will galah (reveal) to them itharath (abundance) of shalawam (peace / safety) and amath (truth).

I will cause the shabawath (captivity) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) and the shabawath (captivity) of Yashar-Al (Israel) to shawab (turn), and will banah (build) them, as at the raashawan (first).

I will tahar (cleanse) them from all their iwan (guilt/iniquity), by which they have chataa (sinned) against me; and I will salach (forgive/pardon/make clean) all their iwan (guilt/iniquity), by which they have chataa (sinned) against me, and by which they have pashai (transgressed) against me.

This city shall be to me for a sham (name) of shashawan (joy), for a thahalah (praise) and for a glory, before all the gawayay (nations) of the aratz (Earth/land), which shall shamai (hearken / hear) all the tawab (good / proper function) that I ishah (make) to them, and shall pachad (fear / dread) and ragaz (tremble) for all the tawab (good / proper function) and for all the shalawam (peace / safety) that I ishah (make) to it.’”

Thus amarayam (says) Yahawah (): “Yet again there shall be shamai (hearken / hear) in this maqawam (place), about which you amar (spoke), ‘It is charab (waste), without adam (man) and without animal, even in the iray (cities) of Yahawadah (Judah), and in the chatzawath (streets) of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), that are shamam (desolate), without adam (man) and without yashab (inhabit/dwell) and without animal,’

The qawal (sound / voice) of shashawan (joy) and the qawal (sound / voice) of shamachah (gladness), the qawal (sound / voice) of the chathan (bridegroom) and the qawal (sound / voice) of the kalah (complete / finish), the qawal (sound / voice) of those who amar (spoke), ‘Give hawadaw (thanks) to Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), for Yahawah () is tawab (good / proper function), for his loving chasad (grace) endures iwalam (forever);’ who bawaa (come) thanksgiving into the bayath (house) of Yahawah (). For I will cause the shabawath (captivity) of the aratz (Earth/land) to shawab (turn back / repent) as at the raashawan (first),” amarayam (says) Yahawah ().

Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies): “Yet again shall there be in this maqawam (place), which is charab (waste), without adam (man) and without animal, and in all its iyar (cities), a nawah (habitation) of raiyam (shepherds) causing their tzaan (flocks) to rabatz (lie) down.

In the iray (cities) of the har (mountain) country, in the iray (cities) of the lowland, and in the iray (cities) of the nagab (south), and in the aratz (Earth/land) of Banayamayan (Benjamin), and in the sabayabay (places) about Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), and in the iray (cities) of Yahawadah (Judah), shall the tzaan (flocks) again pass under the yaday (hands) of him who manah (numbers) them,” amar (spoke) Yahawah ().

“Behold, the yamayam (days) bawaa (come),” naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah (), “that I will qawam (rise up) that tawab (good / proper function) dabar (word / matter) which I have dabar (word / matter) concerning the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel) and concerning the bayath (house) of Yahawadah (Judah).

“In those yamayam (days), and at that ith (time), will I cause a tzamach (branch) of tzadaqah (righteousness) to tzamach (grow) up to Dawad (David); and he shall ishah (make) mashapat (justice) and tzadaqah (righteousness) in the aratz (Earth/land).

In those yamayam (days) shall Yahawadah (Judah) be yashai (salvation), and Yarawashalam (Jerusalem) shall shakan (place) safely; and this is the qaraa (called) by which she shall be called: Yahawah () our righteousness.”

For thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (): “Dawad (David) shall laa (NOT) karath (cut) a ayash (man / husband) to yashab (inhabit/dwell) on the kasaa (throne) of the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel);

Neither shall the kahanayam (priests) the Lawayay (Levites) karath (cut) a ayash (man / husband) panayam (face) me to ilah (go up / offer) burnt ilah (offerings), and to qatar (burn) meal manachah (offerings), and to ishah (make) zabach (sacrifice) yawam (day).”

The dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to Yaramayah (Jeremiah), amar (spoke),

“Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (): ‘If you can parar (break) my barayath (covenant) of the yawam (day), and my barayath (covenant) of the layal (night), so that there shall not be yawamam (by day) and layal (night) in their ith (season);

Then may also my barayath (covenant) be parar (broken) with Dawad (David) my ibad (servant), that he shall not have a ban (son) to malak (king) on his kasaa (throne); and with the Lawayay (Levites) the kahanayam (priests), my sharath (ministers).

As the tzabaa (troop) of the sky can't be sapar (book), neither the chawal (sand) of the yam (sea/waters) madad (measured); so will I rabah (multiply) the zarai (seed) of Dawad (David) my ibad (servant), and the Lawayay (Levites) who sharath (minister) to me.’”

The dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to Yaramayah (Jeremiah), amar (spoke),

“Don't raah (see) what this im (nation / people) has dabar (word / matter), amar (spoke), ‘The shanayam (two) mashapachawath (families) which Yahawah () bachar (chose), he has?’ maas (cast) them off? Thus do they naatz (despise) my im (nation / people), that they should be no more a gaway (heathen / nation) panayam (face) them.”

Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (): “If my barayath (covenant) of yawamam (by day) and layal (night) fails, if I have not shawam (place / establish / appoint) the chaqawath (ordinances) of shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens) and aratz (Earth/land);

Then will I also maas (cast) away the zarai (seed) of Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch), and of Dawad (David) my ibad (servant), so that I will not laqach (take / seize) of his zarai (seed) to be mashalayam (rulers) over the zarai (seed) of Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch), Yashachaq (Isaac), and Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch): for I will cause their shabawath (captivity) to shawab (turn), and will have racham (show mercy / love) on them.”
