Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the ban (son) of Yaashayah (Josiah) malak (king) as malak (king), instead of Kanayahaw (Coniah) the ban (son) of Yahawayaqayam (Jehoiakim), whom Nabawakadanaatzar (Nebuchadnezzar) malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) made malak (king) in the aratz (Earth/land) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah).
But neither he, nor his ibad (servant), nor the im (nation / people) of the aratz (Earth/land), shamai (hearken / hear) to the dabaray (words) of Yahawah (), which he dabar (word / matter) by the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) Yaramayah (Jeremiah).
Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the malak (king) shalach (send) Yahawakal (Jehucal) the ban (son) of Shalamayah (Shelemiah), and Tzapanayah (Zephaniah) the ban (son) of Maishayah (Maaseiah), the kahan (priest), to the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) Yaramayah (Jeremiah), amar (spoke), “palal (pray) now to Yahawah () our Alahayam () for us.”
Now Yaramayah (Jeremiah) bawaa (bring) in and yatzaa (go out / come out) out thawak (midst) the im (nation / people); for they nathan (give) not put him into bayath (house).
Paraih (Pharaoh's) chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) yatzaa (go out / come out) come forth out of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt); and when the Kashaday (Chaldeans) who were tzawar (besieging) Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) shamai (hearken / hear) news of them, they broke up from Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem).
Then came the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () to the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) Yaramayah (Jeremiah), amar (spoke),
“Thus thaamaraw (says) Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), ‘You shall amar (spoke) the malak (king) of Yahawadah (Judah), who shalach (send) you to me to darash (inquire) of me: “Behold, Paraih (Pharaoh's) chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor), which yatzaa (go out / come out) come forth to izarah (help) you, shall shawab (turn back / repent) to Matzarayam (Egypt) into their own aratz (Earth/land).
The Kashaday (Chaldeans) shall shawab (turn) again, and lacham (fight) against this iyar (city); and they shall lakad (take) it, and sharap (burn) it with ash (fire).”’
“Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), ‘Don't nashaa (lift) yourselves, amar (spoke), “The Kashaday (Chaldeans) shall halak (move) depart from us;” for they shall not depart.
For though you had nakah (struck) the whole chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans) who lacham (fight) against you, and there shaar (remained) but wounded chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) among them, yes would they qawam (rise up) up every ayash (man / husband) in his ahal (tent), and sharap (burn) this iyar (city) with ash (fire).’”
It happened that, when the chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans) was ilah (go up / offer) up from Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) for panayam (face) of Paraih (Pharaoh's) chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor),
Then Yaramayah (Jeremiah) yatzaa (go out / come out) forth out of Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) to yalak (go) into the aratz (Earth/land) of Banayamayan (Benjamin), to receive his portion there, in the thawak (midst) of the im (nation / people).
When he was in the shair (gate) of Banayamayan (Benjamin), a bail (captain) of the guard was there, whose sham (name) was Yaraayayah (Irijah), the ban (son) of Shalamayah (Shelemiah), the ban (son) of Chananayah (Hananiah); and he thapash (laid) hold on Yaramayah (Jeremiah) the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy), amar (said), “You are napal (fall / be cast down) away to the Kashaday (Chaldeans).”
Then Yaramayah (Jeremiah) amar (said), “It is shaqar (false); I am not napal (fall / be cast down) away to the Kashaday (Chaldeans).” But he didn't shamai (hearken / hear) to him; so Yaraayayah (Irijah) thapash (laid) hold on Yaramayah (Jeremiah), and brought him to the sharayam (princes).
The sharayam (princes) were qatzap (angry) with Yaramayah (Jeremiah), and nakah (struck) him, and nathan (give) him in asawar (prison) in the bayath (house) of Yahawanathan (Jonathan) the sapar (book); for they ishah (make) made that the kalaa (prison).
When Yaramayah (Jeremiah) bawaa (bring) come into the bayath (house) chanawath (house), and into the cells, and Yaramayah (Jeremiah) had yashab (inhabit/dwell) there many yamayam (days);
Then Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the malak (king) shalach (send), and laqach (take / seize) him: and the malak (king) shaal (asked) him secretly in his bayath (house), and amar (spoke), “Is there any dabar (word / matter) from Yahawah ()?” Yaramayah (Jeremiah) amar (spoke), “There is.” He amar (spoke) also, “You shall be nathan (give) into the yad (hand) of the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon).”
Moreover Yaramayah (Jeremiah) amar (said) to malak (king) Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah), “Wherein have I chataa (sinned) against you, or against your ibad (servant), or against this im (nation / people), that you nathan (give) put me in bayath (house)?
Ay (where) now are your nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) who nabaa (prophesied) to you, amar (said), ‘The malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) shall not bawaa (bring) against you, nor against this aratz (Earth/land)?’
Now please shamai (hearken / hear), my Adawan () the malak (king): please let my thachanah (supplication) be napal (fall / be cast down) panayam (face) you, that you not cause me to shawab (turn back / repent) to the bayath (house) of Yahawanathan (Jonathan) the sapar (book), lest I mawath (death) there.”
Then Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the malak (king) tzawah (commanded), and they paqad (visit) Yaramayah (Jeremiah) into the chatzar (court) of the guard; and they nathan (give) him yawam (day) a kakar (loaf) of lacham (bread) out of the bakers’ chawatz (street), until all the lacham (bread) in the iyar (city) was thamam (spent). Thus Yaramayah (Jeremiah) yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the chatzar (court) of the guard.
