The dabar (word / matter) which came to Yaramayah (Jeremiah) from Yahawah (), achar (other) that Nabawazaraadan (Nebuzaradan) the rab (captain) of the tabach (guard) had shalach (send) him go from Ramah (Ramah), when he had laqach (take / seize) him being asar (bound) in azaqayam (chains) thawak (midst) all the galawath (captives) of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem) and Yahawadah (Judah), who were galah (carried) away captive to Babal (Babylon).
The rab (captain) of the tabach (guard) laqach (take / seize) Yaramayah (Jeremiah), and amar (spoke) to him, “Yahawah () your Alahayam () dabar (word / matter) this rai (evil) on this maqawam (place);
And Yahawah () bawaa (come) brought it, and ishah (make) according as he dabar (word / matter): because you have chataa (sinned) against Yahawah (), and have not shamai (hearken / hear) his qawal (sound / voice), therefore this thing has come on you.
Now, behold, I release you this yawam (day) from the azaqayam (chains) which are on your yad (hand). If it seems tawab (good / proper function) to you to bawaa (bring) with me into Babal (Babylon), bawaa (bring), and I will shawam (place / establish / appoint) care of you; but if it seems bad to you to bawaa (bring) with me into Babal (Babylon), don't: raah (see / saw), all the aratz (Earth/land) is panayam (face) you; where it seems tawab (good / proper function) and yashar (upright) to you to yalak (go), there yalak (go).”
Now while he had not yet shawab (turn) back, “shawab (turn) back then,” he said, “to Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Achayaqam (Ahikam), the ban (son) of Shapan (Shaphan), whom the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) paqad (visit) made governor over the iray (cities) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and yashab (inhabit/dwell) with him thawak (midst) the im (nation / people); or yalak (go) wherever it seems yashar (upright) to you to yalak (go).” So the rab (captain) of the tabach (guard) nathan (give) him food and a present, and shalach (send) him go.
Then bawaa (bring) Yaramayah (Jeremiah) to Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Achayaqam (Ahikam) to Matzapah (Mizpah), and lived with him thawak (midst) the im (nation / people) who were shaar (left) in the aratz (Earth/land).
Now when all the sharay (captains) of the chayalayam (forces) who were in the shadah (fields), even they and their chayalayam (men), shamai (hearken / hear) that the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) had made Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Achayaqam (Ahikam) governor in the aratz (Earth/land), and paqad (visit) committed to him chayalayam (men), and nashayam (women), and tap (children), and of the poorest of the aratz (Earth/land), of those who were not galah (carried) away captive to Babal (Babylon);
Then they bawaa (bring) to Gadalayah (Gedaliah) to Matzapah (Mizpah), Yashamaial (Ishmael) the ban (son) of Nathanayah (Nethaniah), and Yawachanan (Johanan) and Yawanathan (Jonathan) the banay (my son) of Qarach (Kareah), and Sharayah (Seraiah) the ban (son) of Thanachamath (Tanhumeth), and the banay (my son) of Iwapay (Ephai) the Natapathay (Netophathite), and Yazanayah (Jezaniah) the ban (son) of the Maikathay (Maacathite), they and their banay (my son).
Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Achayaqam (Ahikam) the ban (son) of Shapan (Shaphan) shabai (swear / take oath) to them and to their ban (son), amar (said), “Don't be yaraa (fear / be afraid) to ibad (servant) the Kashaday (Chaldeans): yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the aratz (Earth/land), and ibad (servant) the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon), and it shall be yatab (well) with you.
As for me, behold, I will yashab (inhabit/dwell) at Matzapah (Mizpah), to imad (stand) before the Kashaday (Chaldeans) who shall bawaa (bring) to us: but you, asap (gather) yayan (wine) and qayatz (summer) fruits and shaman (oil), and shawam (place / establish / appoint) them in your kalay (vessels), and yashab (inhabit/dwell) in your iyar (cities) that you have thapash (taken).”
Likewise when all the Yahawaday (Jews) who were in Mawaab (Moab), and among the children of Imawan (Ammon), and in Adawam (Edom), and who were in all the aratzawath (countries), shamai (hearken / hear) that the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) nathan (give) left a shaarayath (remnant) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and that he paqad (visit) set over them Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Achayaqam (Ahikam), the ban (son) of Shapan (Shaphan);
Then all the Yahawaday (Jews) shawab (turn) out of all maqamawath (places) where they were nadach (driven), and bawaa (bring) to the aratz (Earth/land) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), to Gadalayah (Gedaliah), to Matzapah (Mizpah), and asap (gathered) yayan (wine) and qayatz (summer) fruits very much.
Moreover Yawachanan (Johanan) the ban (son) of Qarach (Kareah), and all the sharay (captains) of the chayalayam (forces) who were in the shadah (fields), bawaa (bring) to Gadalayah (Gedaliah) to Matzapah (Mizpah),
And amar (spoke) to him, “Do you yadai (know) that Bailayas (Baalis) the malak (king) of the banay (children) of Imawan (Ammon) has shalach (send) Yashamaial (Ishmael) the ban (son) of Nathanayah (Nethaniah) to take your life?” But Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Achayaqam (Ahikam) didn't aman (believe / have faith) them.
Then Yawachanan (Johanan) the ban (son) of Qarach (Kareah) amar (spoke) to Gadalayah (Gedaliah) in Matzapah (Mizpah) secretly, amar (spoke), “Please yalak (let) me go, and I will nakah (kill) Yashamaial (Ishmael) the ban (son) of Nathanayah (Nethaniah), and no ayash (man / husband) shall yadai (know) it: why should he take your life, that all the Yahawaday (Jews) who are qabatz (gathered) to you should be pawatz (scattered), and the shaarayath (remnant) of Yahawadah (Judah) abad (destroy / perish)?”
But Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Achayaqam (Ahikam) amar (said) to Yawachanan (Johanan) the ban (son) of Qarach (Kareah), “You shall not ishah (make) this thing; for you dabar (word / matter) falsely of Yashamaial (Ishmael).”
