Ezekiel 9 — English–Hebrew Parallel

Then he qaraa (called) in my azan (ear) with a gadawal (very great/important/mighty) qawal (sound / voice), amar (said), “Cause those who are in paqadah (charge) of the iyar (city) to qarab (come close) near, every ayash (man / husband) with his mashachath (destroying) kalay (weapon) in his yad (hand).”

Behold, shash (six) anashayam (men) bawaa (bring) from the darak (way) of the ilayawan (Most High) shair (gate), which panah (turn) toward the tzapawan (north), every ayash (man / husband) with his mapatz (slaughter) kalay (weapon) in his yad (hand); and achad (one) ayash (man / husband) in their thawak (midst) labash (clothed) in bad (linen), with a sapar (book) qasath (inkhorn) by his mathan (side). They bawaa (bring) in, and imad (stood) beside the bronze mazabach (altar).

The kabawad (glory) of the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel) was ilah (go up / offer) up from the karawab (cherub), whereupon it was, to the mapathan (threshold) of the bayath (house): and he qaraa (called) to the ayash (man / husband) labash (clothed) in bad (linen), who had the sapar (book) qasath (inkhorn) by his mathan (side).

Yahawah () amar (spoke) to him, “ibar (pass over/through) through the thawak (midst) of the iyar (city), thawak (midst) the midst of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), and thawah (set) a thaw (mark) on the matzachawath (foreheads) of the ibar (pass over/through) that anach (sigh) and that anaq (cry) over all the thawaibawath (abominations) that are ishah (make) in its thawak (midst).”

To the others he amar (said) in my azan (ear), “ibar (pass over/through) through the iyar (city) achar (other) him, and nakah (strike): don't let your iyan (eye) chawas (spare), neither chamal (have) pity;

Harag (kill) mashachayath (utterly) the zaqan (old) man, the bachawar (young) man and the bathawalah (virgin), and little tap (children) and nashayam (women); but don't nagash (come) near any ayash (man / husband) on whom is the thaw (mark): and chalal (begin) at my maqadash (sanctuary).” Then they chalal (began) at the zaqan (old) zaqanayam (men) that were panayam (face) the bayath (house).

He amar (said) to them, “tamaa (defile) the bayath (house), and malaa (fill) the chatzarawath (courts) with the chalal (slain). Yatzaa (go out / come out) forth!” They yatzaa (go out / come out) forth, and nakah (struck) in the iyar (city).

It happened, while they were nakah (smiting), and I was shaar (left), that I napal (fall / be cast down) on my panayam (face), and zaiq (cried), and amar (spoke), “ahah (ah) Adanay () Yahawah ()! Will you shachath (destroy) all the shaarayath (residue) of Yashar-Al (Israel) in your shapak (pouring) out of your chamah (wrath) on Yarawashalam (Jerusalem)?”

Then he amar (spoke) to me, “The iwan (guilt/iniquity) of the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel) and Yahawadah (Judah) is maad (exceedingly) gadawal (very great/important/mighty), and the aratz (Earth/land) is malaa (full) of dam (blood), and the iyar (city) malaa (full) of perversion: for they amar (spoke), ‘Yahawah () has forsaken the aratz (Earth/land), and Yahawah () doesn't raah (see).’

As for me also, my iyan (eye) shall not chawas (spare), neither will I chamal (have) pity, but I will nathan (give) their darak (way) on their raash (head).”

Behold, the ayash (man / husband) labawash (clothed) in bad (linen), who had the qasath (inkhorn) by his mathan (side), reported the dabar (word / matter), amar (said), “I ishah (make) done as you have tzawah (commanded) me.”
