“Shamai (hearken / hear) to this, you kahanayam (priests)! Listen, bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel), and azan (ear) ear, bayath (house) of the malak (king)! For the mashapat (judgment) is against you; for you have been a pach (snare / trap) at Matzapah (Mizpah), and a rashath (net) parash (spread) on Thabawar (Tabor).
The rebels are imaq (deep) in shachat (slaughter); but I mawasar (discipline) all of them.
I yadai (know) Aparayam (Ephraim), and Yashar-Al (Israel) is not kachad (hidden) from me; for now, Aparayam (Ephraim), you have zanah (played) the prostitute. Yashar-Al (Israel) is tamaa (defiled).
Their deeds won't allow them to shawab (turn back / repent) to their Alahayam (); for the rawach (spirit / wind) of prostitution is qarab (among / near) them, and they don't yadai (know) Yahawah ().
The gaawan (pride) of Yashar-Al (Israel) inah (answer / respond) to his panayam (face). Therefore Yashar-Al (Israel) and Aparayam (Ephraim) will kashal (stumble / stagger) in their iwan (guilt/iniquity). Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) also will kashal (stumble / stagger) with them.
They will yalak (go) with their tzaan (flocks) and with their baqar (morning) to baqash (seek) Yahawah (); but they won't matzaa (find) him. He has chalatz (withdrawn) himself from them.
They are bagad (unfaithful) to Yahawah (); for they have yalad (birth / begot) illegitimate banayam (children). Now the new chadash (month) will akal (eat) them with their fields.
“Thaqai (blow / sound alarm) the shawapar (Shofar / Ram's horn) in Gabaih (Gibeah), and the chatzatzarah (trumpet) in Ramah (Ramah)! Rawai (sound) a battle cry at Bayathaawan (Beth Aven), achar (other) you, Banayamayan (Benjamin)!
Aparayam (Ephraim) will become a shamah (desolation) in the yawam (day) of thawakachah (rebuke). Among the shabatay (tribes) of Yashar-Al (Israel), I yadai (have) made known that which will aman (believe / have faith) be.
The sharay (princes) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) are like those who nasag (remove) a gabawal (border/boundary). I will shapak (pour) out my ibarah (wrath) on them like mayam (Waters).
Aparayam (Ephraim) is ishaq (oppressed), he is ratzatz (crushed) in mashapat (judgment); Because he is intent in his pursuit of idols.
Therefore I am to Aparayam (Ephraim) like a ish (made), and to the bayath (house) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) like raqab (rottenness).
“When Aparayam (Ephraim) raah (see / saw) his chalay (sickness), and Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) his mazawar (wound), Then Aparayam (Ephraim) yalak (went) to Ashawar (Assyria), and shalach (send) to malak (king) Yarab (Jareb): but he is not yakal (able) to rapaa (heal) you, neither will he gahah (cure) you of your mazawar (wound).
For I will be to Aparayam (Ephraim) like a shachal (lion), and like a young kapayar (lion) to the bayath (house) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah). I myself will tarap (tear) in pieces and yalak (go) away. I will nashaa (lift) off, and there will be no one to natzal (deliver).
I will yalak (go) and shawab (turn) to my maqawam (place), until they acknowledge their offense, and baqash (seek) my panayam (face). In their tzar (oppressor / distressor) they will shachar (seek) me earnestly.”
