Leviticus 10 — English–Hebrew Parallel

Nadab (Nadab) and Abayahawaa (Abihu), the banay (sons) of Aharawan (Aaron), ayash (man / husband) laqach (take / seize) his machathah (censer), and nathan (give) ash (fire) in it, and nathan (give) qatarath (incense) on it, and qarab (come close) zawar (strange) ash (fire) panayam (face) Yahawah (), which he had not tzawah (commanded) them.

And ash (fire) yatzaa (go out / come out) forth from before Yahawah (), and akal (eat) them, and they mawath (death) panayam (face) Yahawah ().

Then Mashah (Moses) amar (spoke) to Aharawan (Aaron), “This is what Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) of, amar (spoke), ‘I will show myself qadash (set apart / make holy) to those who come qarawab (near) me, and panayam (face) all the im (nation / people) I will be kabad (glorified).’” Aharawan (Aaron) held his damam (peace).

Mashah (Moses) qaraa (called) Mayashaal (Mishael) and Alayatzapan (Elzaphan), the banay (my son) of Izayaal (Uzziel) the dawad (uncle) of Aharawan (Aaron), and amar (said) to them, “qarab (come close) near, nashaa (lift) your ach (brother/kinsman) from panayam (face) the qadash (set apart / make holy) out of the machanah (camp).”

So they qarab (come close) near, and nashaa (lift) them in their kathanath (coats) out of the machanah (camp), as Mashah (Moses) had dabar (word / matter).

Mashah (Moses) amar (spoke) to Aharawan (Aaron), and to Alaizar (Eleazar) and to Ayathamar (Ithamar), his ban (son), “Don't let the hair of your raash (head) parai (go) loose, neither tear your clothes; that you don't mawath (death), and that he not be qatzap (angry) with all the idah (congregation): but let your ach (brother/kinsman), the whole bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel), bakah (bewail) the sharapah (burning) which Yahawah () has sharap (kindled).

You shall not yatzaa (go out / come out) out from the pathach (door) of the ahal (tent) of Meeting, lest you mawath (death); for the mashachah (anointing) shaman (oil) of Yahawah () is on you.” They ishah (make) according to the dabar (word / matter) of Mashah (Moses).

Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) to Aharawan (Aaron), amar (spoke),

“Shathah (drinks) no yayan (wine) nor strong shathah (drinks), you, nor your ban (son) with you, when you bawaa (bring) into the ahal (tent) of Meeting, that you don't mawath (death): it shall be a chaqah (statute) iwalam (eternity) throughout your dawar (generation / age / period):

And that you are to badal (separated) a distinction between the qadash (set apart / make holy) and the chal (common), and between the tamaa (unclean) and the tahawar (clean);

And that you are to yarah (teach) the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) all the chaqayam (statutes) which Yahawah () has dabar (word / matter) to them by Mashah (Moses).”

Mashah (Moses) dabar (word / matter) to Aharawan (Aaron), and to Alaizar (Eleazar) and to Ayathamar (Ithamar), his ban (son) who were yathar (left), “laqach (take / seize) the meal manachah (offering) that nawatharayam (remains) of the manachah (offerings) of Yahawah () made by ashah (fire / offering made by fire), and akal (eat) it matzah (without) yeast beside the mazabach (altar); for it is most qadash (set apart / make holy);

And you shall akal (eat) it in a qadawash (holy) maqawam (place), because it is your chaq (statute), and your ban (son)’ chaq (statute), of the ashay (offerings) of Yahawah () made by ashah (fire / offering made by fire): for so I am tzawah (commanded).

The thanawapah (waved) chazah (breast) and the tharawamah (heaved) shawaq (thigh) you shall akal (eat) in a tahawar (clean) maqawam (place), you, and your banay (my son), and your banath (daughter) with you: for they are given as your chaq (statute), and your banay (my son)’ chaq (statute), out of the zabachay (sacrifices) of the shalam (peace) offerings of the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel).

The tharawamah (heaved) shawaq (thigh) and the thanawapah (waved) chazah (breast) they shall bawaa (come) with the ashay (offerings) made by fire of the chalab (fat), to nawap (wave) it for a wave thanawapah (offering) panayam (face) Yahawah (): and it shall be yours, and your ban (son)’ with you, as a chaq (statute) iwalam (forever); as Yahawah () has tzawah (commanded).”

Mashah (Moses) darash (diligently) darash (inquired) about the shaiyar (goat) of the chataah (sin) offering, and, behold, it was sharap (burned): and he was qatzap (angry) with Alaizar (Eleazar) and with Ayathamar (Ithamar), the banay (my son) of Aharawan (Aaron) who were yathar (left), amar (said),

“Why haven't you akal (eat) the chataah (sin) offering in the maqawam (place) of the qadash (set apart / make holy), since it is most qadash (set apart / make holy), and he nathan (give) given it you to nashaa (lift) the iwan (guilt/iniquity) of the idah (congregation), to make kapar (atonement) for them panayam (face) Yahawah ()?

Han (behold), its dam (blood) was not bawaa (bring) into the inner part of the qadash (set apart / make holy): you certainly should have akal (eat) it in the qadash (set apart / make holy), as I tzawah (commanded).”

Aharawan (Aaron) dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses), “Behold, this yawam (day) they have qarab (come close) their chataah (sin) offering and their burnt chataah (sin) panayam (face) Yahawah (); and such things as these have qaraa (called) to me: and if I had akal (eat) the chataah (sin) offering today, would it yatab (have) been pleasing in the iyan (eye) of Yahawah ()?”

When Mashah (Moses) shamai (hearken / hear) that, it was yatab (pleasing) in his sight.
