Leviticus 3 — English–Hebrew Parallel

1 “‘If his qaraban (offering) is a zabach (sacrifice) of shalam (peace) offerings; if he qarab (come close) it from the baqar (morning), whether zakar (remember) or naqabah (female), he shall qarab (come close) it thamayam (complete / whole) blemish panayam (face) Yahawah ().

2 He shall samak (lay) his yad (hand) on the raash (head) of his qaraban (offering), and shachat (kill) it at the pathach (door) of the ahal (tent) of Meeting: and Aharawan (Aaron's) banay (my son), the kahanayam (priests) shall zaraq (sprinkle) the dam (blood) around on the mazabach (altar).

3 He shall qarab (come close) of the zabach (sacrifice) of shalam (peace) offerings an ashah (fire / offering made by fire) made by fire to Yahawah (); the chalab (fat) that kasah (covers) the innards, and all the chalab (fat) that is on the innards,

4 And the shanayam (two) kalayath (kidneys), and the chalab (fat) that is on them, which is by the kasalayam (loins), and the cover on the kabad (liver), with the kalayath (kidneys), he shall sawar (take) away.

5 Aharawan (Aaron's) banay (sons) shall qatar (burn) it on the mazabach (altar) on the burnt offering, which is on the itz (wood) that is on the ash (fire): it is an offering made by ash (fire), of a pleasant aroma to Yahawah ().

6 “‘If his qaraban (offering) for a zabach (sacrifice) of shalam (peace) offerings to Yahawah () is from the tzaan (flock); zakar (remember) or naqabah (female), he shall qarab (come close) it thamayam (complete / whole) blemish.

7 If he qarab (come close) a kashab (lamb) for his qaraban (offering), then he shall qarab (come close) it panayam (face) Yahawah ();

8 And he shall samak (lay) his yad (hand) on the raash (head) of his qaraban (offering), and shachat (kill) it panayam (face) the ahal (tent) of Meeting: and Aharawan (Aaron's) banay (my son) shall zaraq (sprinkle) its dam (blood) around on the mazabach (altar).

9 He shall qarab (come close) from the zabach (sacrifice) of shalam (peace) offerings an ashah (fire / offering made by fire) made by fire to Yahawah (); its chalab (fat), the entire tail fat, he shall sawar (take) away close to the itzah (backbone); and the chalab (fat) that kasah (covers) the qarab (among / near), and all the chalab (fat) that is on the qarab (among / near),

10 And the shanayam (two) kalayath (kidneys), and the chalab (fat) that is on them, which is by the kasalayam (loins), and the cover on the kabad (liver), with the kalayath (kidneys), he shall sawar (take) away.

11 The kahan (priest) shall qatar (burn) it on the mazabach (altar): it is the lacham (food) of the ashah (fire / offering made by fire) made by fire to Yahawah ().

12 “‘If his qaraban (offering) is a iz (goat), then he shall qarab (come close) it panayam (face) Yahawah ():

13 And he shall samak (lay) his yad (hand) on its raash (head), and shachat (kill) it panayam (face) the ahal (tent) of Meeting; and the banay (my son) of Aharawan (Aaron) shall zaraq (sprinkle) its dam (blood) around on the mazabach (altar).

14 He shall qarab (come close) from it as his qaraban (offering), an ashah (fire / offering made by fire) made by fire to Yahawah (); the chalab (fat) that kasah (covers) the innards, and all the chalab (fat) that is on the innards,

15 And the shanayam (two) kalayath (kidneys), and the chalab (fat) that is on them, which is by the kasalayam (loins), and the cover on the kabad (liver), with the kalayath (kidneys), he shall sawar (take) away.

16 The kahan (priest) shall qatar (burn) them on the mazabach (altar): it is the lacham (food) of the ashah (fire / offering made by fire) made by fire, for a pleasant aroma; all the chalab (fat) is Yahawah ().

17 “‘It shall be a iwalam (eternity) chaqah (statute) throughout your dawar (generation / age / period) in all your mawashab (dwellings), that you shall akal (eat) neither chalab (fat) nor dam (blood).’”
