1 “‘If anyone chataa (sins), in that he shamai (hearken / hear) the qawal (sound / voice) of adjuration, he being a id (until / as far as), aw (or) he raah (see / saw) seen or yadai (known), if he doesn't nagad (report) it, then he shall nashaa (lift) his iwan (guilt/iniquity).
2 “‘Or if anyone touches any tamaa (unclean) thing, whether it is the carcass of an tamaa (unclean) animal, or the carcass of tamaa (unclean) livestock, or the carcass of tamaa (unclean) sharatz (creeping) things, and it is ilam (hidden) from him, and he is tamaa (unclean), then he shall be asham (guilty).
3 “‘Or if he touches the tamaah (uncleanness) of adam (man), whatever his tamaah (uncleanness) is with which he is tamaa (unclean), and it is ilam (hidden) from him; when he yadai (knows) of it, then he shall be asham (guilty).
4 “‘Or if anyone shabai (swear / take oath) rashly with his shapathayam (lips) to do raii (wicked / dysfunctional / evil), or to do yatab (good), whatever it is that a adam (man) might utter rashly with an shabawaih (oath), and it is ilam (hidden) from him; when he yadai (knows) of it, then he shall be asham (guilty) of achad (one) of these.
5 It shall be, when he is asham (guilty) of achad (one) of these, he shall yadah (confess) that in which he has chataa (sinned):
6 And he shall bawaa (come) his asham (trespass) offering to Yahawah () for his chataah (sin) which he has chataa (sinned), a naqabah (female) from the tzaan (flock), a kashabah (lamb) or a goat, for a chataah (sin) offering; and the kahan (priest) shall make kapar (atonement) for him concerning his chataah (sin).
7 “‘If he can't afford a shah (lamb), then he shall nagai (bring) his asham (trespass) chataa (offering) for that in which he has sinned, shanayam (two) turtledoves, or shanayam (two) ban (son) yawanah (pigeons), to Yahawah (); achad (one) for a chataah (sin) offering, and the other for a burnt chataah (sin).
8 He shall bawaa (bring) them to the kahan (priest), who shall first qarab (come close) the one which is for the chataah (sin) offering, and malaq (wring) off its raash (head) from its irap (neck), but shall not badal (separated) it completely.
9 He shall nazah (sprinkle) some of the dam (blood) of the chataah (sin) offering on the qayar (side) of the mazabach (altar); and the shaar (rest) of the dam (blood) shall be drained out at the base of the mazabach (altar). It is a chataah (sin) offering.
10 He shall ishah (make) the shanay (second) for a burnt ilah (offering), according to the mashapat (ordinance); and the kahan (priest) shall make kapar (atonement) for him concerning his chataah (sin) which he has chataa (sinned), and he shall be salach (forgive/pardon/make clean).
11 “‘But if he can't afford shanayam (two) turtledoves, or shanayam (two) ban (son) yawanah (pigeons), then he shall bawaa (bring) his qaraban (offering) for that in which he has chataa (sinned), the ishayaray (tenth) part of an ayapah (ephah) of fine salath (flour) for a chataah (sin) offering. He shall shawam (place / establish / appoint) no shaman (oil) on it, neither shall he nathan (give) any labawanah (frankincense) on it, for it is a chataah (sin) offering.
12 He shall bawaa (come) it to the kahan (priest), and the kahan (priest) shall qamatz (take) his handful of it as the azakarah (memorial) portion, and qatar (burn) it on the mazabach (altar), on the offerings of Yahawah () made by ashah (fire / offering made by fire). It is a chataah (sin) offering.
13 The kahan (priest) shall make kapar (atonement) for him concerning his chataah (sin) that he has chataa (sinned) in any of these things, and he will be salach (forgive/pardon/make clean); and the rest shall be the kahan (priest), as the meal manachah (offering).’”
14 Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses), amar (spoke),
15 “If anyone mail (top/above) a mail (top/above), and mail (top/above) shagagah (unwittingly), in the qadash (set apart / make holy) things of Yahawah (); then he shall bawaa (come) his asham (trespass) offering to Yahawah (), a ayal (ram) thamayam (complete / whole) blemish from the tzaan (flock), according to your irak (estimation) in kasap (silver) by shaqalayam (shekels), after the shaqal (shekel) of the qadash (set apart / make holy), for a asham (trespass) offering.
16 He shall shalam (make) restitution for that which he has chataa (done) wrong in the qadash (set apart / make holy) thing, and shall yasap (add) a chamayashay (fifth) part to it, and nathan (give) it to the kahan (priest); and the kahan (priest) shall make kapar (atonement) for him with the ayal (ram) of the asham (trespass) offering, and he will be salach (forgive/pardon/make clean).
17 “If anyone chataa (sins), and thaishayanah (does) any of the things which Yahawah () has commanded not to be ishah (make); though he didn't yadai (know) it, yet he is asham (guilty), and shall nashaa (lift) his iwan (guilt/iniquity).
18 He shall bawaa (bring) a ayal (ram) thamayam (complete / whole) blemish from of the tzaan (flock), according to your irak (estimation), for a asham (trespass) offering, to the kahan (priest); and the kahan (priest) shall make kapar (atonement) for him concerning the thing in which he shagag (sinned) and didn't yadai (know) it, and he will be salach (forgive/pardon/make clean).
19 It is a asham (trespass) offering. He is asham (certainly) asham (guilty) before Yahawah ().”
