Leviticus 9 — English–Hebrew Parallel

It happened on the shamayanay (eighth) yawam (day), that Mashah (Moses) qaraa (called) Aharawan (Aaron) and his ban (son), and the zaqanay (elders) of Yashar-Al (Israel);

And he amar (spoke) to Aharawan (Aaron), “laqach (take / seize) a igal (calf) from the herd for a chataah (sin) offering, and a ayal (ram) for a burnt ilah (offering), thamayam (complete / whole) blemish, and qarab (come close) them panayam (face) Yahawah ().

You shall dabar (word / matter) to the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel), amar (said), ‘laqach (take / seize) a male iz (goat) for a chataah (sin) offering; and a igal (calf) and a kabash (lamb), both a shanah (year) old, thamayam (complete / whole) blemish, for a burnt ilah (offering);

And a shawar (bull) and a ayal (ram) for shalam (peace) offerings, to zabach (sacrifice) panayam (face) Yahawah (); and a meal manachah (offering) balal (mixed) with shaman (oil): for today Yahawah () raah (see) to you.’”

They laqach (take / seize) what Mashah (Moses) tzawah (commanded) panayam (face) the ahal (tent) of Meeting: and all the mawaid (Feast/Holy Day) qarab (come close) near and imad (stood) panayam (face) Yahawah ().

Mashah (Moses) amar (spoke), “This is the thing which Yahawah () tzawah (commanded) that you should ishah (make): and the kabawad (glory) of Yahawah () shall raah (see) to you.”

Mashah (Moses) amar (spoke) to Aharawan (Aaron), “qarab (come close) near to the mazabach (altar), and ishah (make) your chataah (sin) offering, and your burnt ilah (offering), and make kapar (atonement) for yourself, and for the im (nation / people); and ishah (make) the qaraban (offering) of the im (nation / people), and make kapar (atonement) for them; as Yahawah () tzawah (commanded).”

So Aharawan (Aaron) drew near to the mazabach (altar), and shachat (killed) the igal (calf) of the chataah (sin) offering, which was for himself.

The banay (my son) of Aharawan (Aaron) qarab (come close) the dam (blood) to him; and he tabal (dipped) his atzabai (finger) in the dam (blood), and nathan (give) it on the qaranawath (horns) of the mazabach (altar), and yatzaq (poured) out the dam (blood) at the base of the mazabach (altar):

But the chalab (fat), and the kalayath (kidneys), and the cover from the kabad (liver) of the chataah (sin) offering, he qatar (burned) upon the mazabach (altar); as Yahawah () tzawah (commanded) Mashah (Moses).

The bashar (flesh) and the iwar (skin) he sharap (burned) with ash (fire) outside the machanah (camp).

He shachat (killed) the burnt ilah (offering); and Aharawan (Aaron's) banay (my son) matzaa (delivered) the dam (blood) to him, and he zaraq (sprinkled) it around on the mazabach (altar).

They matzaa (delivered) the burnt ilah (offering) to him, nathach (piece) by piece, and the raash (head): and he qatar (burned) them upon the mazabach (altar).

He rachatz (washed) the innards and the karaiyam (legs), and qatar (burned) them on the burnt ilah (offering) on the mazabach (altar).

He qarab (come close) the im (nation / people) qaraban (offering), and laqach (take / seize) the shaiyar (goat) of the chataah (sin) offering which was for the im (nation / people), and shachat (killed) it, and offered it for chataa (sin), like the raashawan (first).

He qarab (come close) the burnt ilah (offering), and ishah (make) it according to the mashapat (ordinance).

He qarab (come close) the meal manachah (offering), and malaa (filled) his kap (hand) from there, and qatar (burned) it upon the mazabach (altar), bad (besides) the burnt ilah (offering) of the baqar (morning).

He also shachat (killed) the shawar (bull) and the ayal (ram), the zabach (sacrifice) of shalam (peace) offerings, which was for the im (nation / people): and Aharawan (Aaron's) banay (my son) matzaa (delivered) to him the dam (blood), which he zaraq (sprinkled) around on the mazabach (altar),

And the chalab (fat) of the shawar (bull) and of the ayal (ram), the fat tail, and that which makasah (covers) the innards, and the kalayath (kidneys), and the cover of the kabad (liver):

And they shawam (place / establish / appoint) the chalab (fat) upon the chazawath (breasts), and he qatar (burned) the chalab (fat) on the mazabach (altar):

And the chazawath (breasts) and the yamayan (right hand) shawaq (thigh) Aharawan (Aaron) nawap (waved) for a wave thanawapah (offering) panayam (face) Yahawah (), as Mashah (Moses) tzawah (commanded).

Aharawan (Aaron) nashaa (lift) up his yad (hand) toward the im (nation / people), and barak (blessed) them; and he yarad (came) down from ishah (make) the chataah (sin) offering, and the burnt chataah (sin), and the shalam (peace) offerings.

Mashah (Moses) and Aharawan (Aaron) bawaa (come) into the ahal (tent) of Meeting, and yatzaa (go out / come out) out, and barak (blessed) the im (nation / people): and the kabawad (glory) of Yahawah () raah (see) to all the im (nation / people).

There yatzaa (go out / come out) forth ash (fire) from panayam (face) Yahawah (), and akal (eat) the burnt ilah (offering) and the chalab (fat) upon the mazabach (altar): and when all the im (nation / people) raah (see) it, they ranan (shouted), and napal (fall / be cast down) on their panay (faces).
