1 Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses) and to Aharawan (Aaron), amar (spoke),

2 “Nashaa (lift) a census of the banay (my son) of Qahath (Kohath) from thawak (midst) the banay (my son) of Laway (Levi), by their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family), by their ab (father)’ bayath (house),

3 From shalawashayam (thirty) shanah (years) ban (son) and upward even until chamashayam (fifty) shanah (years) ban (son), all who bawaa (bring) into the tzabaa (troop), to ishah (make) the malaakah (work) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting.

4 “This is the ibadah (service) of the banay (my son) of Qahath (Kohath) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting, the most qadash (set apart / make holy) things.

5 When the machanah (camp) moves nasai (forward), Aharawan (Aaron) shall bawaa (bring) in, and his ban (son), and they shall yarad (take) down the parakath (veil) of the screen, and kasah (cover) the arawan (ark) of the idawath (testimony) with it,

6 And shall nathan (give) a kasaway (covering) of sealskin on it, and shall parash (spread) over it a bagad (cloth) kalayal (all) of thakalath (blue), and shall shawam (place / establish / appoint) in its poles.

7 “On the shalachan (table) of show panayam (face) they shall parash (spread) a thakalath (blue) bagad (cloth), and nathan (give) on it the dishes, the kapath (spoons), the manaqayath (bowls), and the qashawath (cups) with which to pour out; and the thamayad (continual) lacham (bread) shall be on it.

8 They shall parash (spread) on them a thawalai (scarlet) bagad (cloth), and kasah (cover) the same with a makasah (covering) of sealskin, and shall shawam (place / establish / appoint) in its poles.

9 “They shall laqach (take / seize) a thakalath (blue) bagad (cloth), and kasah (cover) the lampstand of the maawar (Luminary / Light), and its nayar (lamps), and its malaqach (snuffers), and its snuff dishes, and all its shaman (oil) kalay (vessels), with which they sharath (minister) to it.

10 They shall nathan (give) it and all its kalay (vessels) within a makasah (covering) of sealskin, and shall nathan (give) it on the frame.

11 “On the zahab (gold) mazabach (altar) they shall parash (spread) a thakalath (blue) bagad (cloth), and kasah (cover) it with a makasah (covering) of sealskin, and shall shawam (place / establish / appoint) in its poles.

12 “They shall laqach (take / seize) all the kalay (vessels) of sharath (ministry), with which they sharath (minister) in the qadash (set apart / make holy), and nathan (give) them in a thakalath (blue) bagad (cloth), and kasah (cover) them with a makasah (covering) of sealskin, and shall nathan (give) them on the frame.

13 “They shall dashan (take) away the ashes from the mazabach (altar), and parash (spread) a aragaman (purple) bagad (cloth) on it.

14 They shall nathan (give) on it all its kalay (vessels), with which they sharath (minister) about it, the machathah (fire) pans, the flesh hooks, the yaiyam (shovels), and the basins; all the kalay (vessels) of the mazabach (altar); and they shall parash (spread) on it a kasaway (covering) of sealskin, and shawam (place / establish / appoint) in its poles.

15 “When Aharawan (Aaron) and his banay (my son) kalah (complete / finish) finished kasah (covering) the qadash (set apart / make holy), and all the kalay (furniture) of the qadash (set apart / make holy), as the machanah (camp) moves nasai (forward); achar (other) that, the banay (my son) of Qahath (Kohath) shall bawaa (bring) to nashaa (lift) it: but they shall not nagai (touch) the qadash (set apart / make holy), lest they mawath (death). These things are the mashaa (burden) of the banay (my son) of Qahath (Kohath) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting.

16 “The duty of Alaizar (Eleazar) the ban (son) of Aharawan (Aaron) the kahan (priest) shall be the shaman (oil) for the maawar (Luminary / Light), the sam (sweet) qatarath (incense), the thamayad (continual) meal manachah (offering), and the mashachah (anointing) shaman (oil), the requirements of all the mashakan (tabernacle), and of all that is in it, the qadash (set apart / make holy), and its kalay (furnishings).”

17 Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses) and to Aharawan (Aaron), amar (spoke),

18 “Don't karath (cut) off the shabat (tribe) of the mashapachath (families) of the Qahathay (Kohathites) from thawak (midst) the Lawayay (Levites);

19 But thus ishah (make) to them, that they may chayah (live), and not mawath (death), when they nagash (approach) to the most qadash (set apart / make holy) things: Aharawan (Aaron) and his ban (son) shall bawaa (bring) in, and shawam (place / establish / appoint) them everyone to his ibadah (service) and to his mashaa (burden);

20 But they shall not bawaa (bring) in to raah (see / saw) the qadash (set apart / make holy) even for a moment, lest they mawath (death).”

22 “Nashaa (lift) a census of the banay (my son) of Garashawan (Gershon) also, by their ab (father)’ bayath (house), by their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family);

23 You shall paqad (visit) them from shalawashayam (thirty) shanah (years) ban (son) and upward until chamashayam (fifty) shanah (years) ban (son); all who bawaa (bring) in to tzabaa (troop) on the tzabaa (troop), to ibad (servant) the ibadah (work) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting.

24 “This is the ibadah (service) of the mashapachath (families) of the garashanay (gershonites), in serving and in bearing mashaa (burdens):

25 They shall nashaa (lift) the yarayaith (curtains) of the mashakan (tabernacle), and the mashakan (tent) of Meeting, its makasah (covering), and the makasah (covering) of sealskin that is mail (top/above) on it, and the screen for the pathach (door) of the ahal (tent) of Meeting,

26 And the qalaiy (hangings) of the chatzar (court), and the screen for the pathach (door) of the shair (gate) of the chatzar (court), which is by the mashakan (tabernacle) and around the mazabach (altar), and their mayathar (cords), and all the kalay (instruments) of their ibadah (service), and whatever shall be ishah (make) with them. Therein shall they ibad (servant).

27 At the commandment of Aharawan (Aaron) and his banay (my son) shall be all the ibadah (service) of the banay (my son) of the garashanay (gershonites), in all their mashaa (burden), and in all their ibadah (service); and you shall paqad (visit) their duty to them in all their responsibilities.

28 This is the ibadah (service) of the mashapachath (families) of the banay (my son) of the garashanay (gershonites) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting: and their duty shall be under the yad (hand) of Ayathamar (Ithamar) the ban (son) of Aharawan (Aaron) the kahan (priest).

29 “As for the banay (my son) of Mararay (Merari), you shall paqad (visit) them by their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family), by their ab (father)’ bayath (house);

30 You shall paqad (visit) them from shalawashayam (thirty) shanah (years) ban (son) and upward even to chamashayam (fifty) shanah (years) ban (son), everyone who bawaa (bring) on the tzabaa (troop), to ibad (servant) the ibadah (work) of the ahal (tent) of Meeting.

31 This is the duty of their mashaa (burden), according to all their ibadah (service) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting: the ahal (tabernacle's) qarashay (boards), its barayach (bars), its imawad (pillar), its adan (sockets),

32 And the imawaday (pillars) of the chatzar (court) around it, and their adan (sockets), and their yathad (pins), and their mayathar (cords), with all their kalay (instruments), and with all their ibadah (service): and by sham (name) you shall paqad (visit) the kalay (instruments) of the duty of their mashaa (burden).

33 This is the ibadah (service) of the mashapachath (families) of the banay (my son) of Mararay (Merari), according to all their ibadah (service), in the ahal (tent) of Meeting, under the yad (hand) of Ayathamar (Ithamar) the ban (son) of Aharawan (Aaron) the kahan (priest).”

34 Mashah (Moses) and Aharawan (Aaron) and the nashayaay (princes) of the idah (congregation) paqad (visit) the banay (my son) of the Qahathay (Kohathites) by their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family), and by their ab (father)’ bayath (house),

35 From shalawashayam (thirty) shanah (years) ban (son) and upward even to chamashayam (fifty) shanah (years) ban (son), everyone who bawaa (bring) into the tzabaa (troop), for ibadah (work) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting.

36 Those who were paqad (visit) of them by their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family) were two alap (thousand) shabai (seven) maah (hundred) chamashayam (fifty).

37 These are those who were paqad (visit) of the mashapachath (families) of the Qahathay (Kohathites), all who ibad (servant) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting, whom Mashah (Moses) and Aharawan (Aaron) paqad (visit) pah (according) to the commandment of Yahawah () by Mashah (Moses).

38 Those who were paqad (visit) of the banay (my son) of Garashawan (Gershon), their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family), and by their ab (father)’ bayath (house),

39 From shalawashayam (thirty) shanah (years) ban (son) and upward even to chamashayam (fifty) shanah (years) ban (son), everyone who bawaa (bring) into the tzabaa (troop), for ibadah (work) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting,

40 Even those who were paqad (visit) of them, by their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family), by their ab (father)’ bayath (house), were two alap (thousand) shash (six) maah (hundred) shalawashayam (thirty).

41 These are those who were paqad (visit) of the mashapachath (families) of the banay (sons) of Garashawan (Gershon), all who ibad (servant) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting, whom Mashah (Moses) and Aharawan (Aaron) paqad (visit) pah (according) to the commandment of Yahawah ().

42 Those who were paqad (visit) of the mashapachath (families) of the banay (my son) of Mararay (Merari), by their mashapachath (families), by their ab (father)’ bayath (house),

43 From shalawashayam (thirty) shanah (years) ban (son) and upward even to chamashayam (fifty) shanah (years) ban (son), everyone who bawaa (bring) into the tzabaa (troop), for ibadah (work) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting,

44 Even those who were paqad (visit) of them by their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family), were shalawash (three) alap (thousand) two maah (hundred).

45 These are those who were paqad (visit) of the mashapachath (families) of the banay (sons) of Mararay (Merari), whom Mashah (Moses) and Aharawan (Aaron) paqad (visit) pah (according) to the commandment of Yahawah () by Mashah (Moses).

46 Paqad (visit) those who were numbered of the Lawayay (Levites), whom Mashah (Moses) and Aharawan (Aaron) and the nashayaay (princes) of Yashar-Al (Israel) paqad (visit), by their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family), and by their ab (father)’ bayath (house),

47 From shalawashayam (thirty) shanah (years) ban (son) and upward even to chamashayam (fifty) shanah (years) ban (son), everyone who bawaa (bring) in to ibad (servant) the ibadah (work) of ibadah (service), and the work of bearing mashaa (burdens) in the ahal (tent) of Meeting,

48 Even those who were paqad (visit) of them, were shamanah (eight) alap (thousand) chamash (five) maah (hundred) shamanayam (eighty).

49 Pah (according) to the commandment of Yahawah () they were paqad (visit) by Mashah (Moses), everyone according to his ibadah (service), and according to his mashaa (burden). Thus were they paqad (visit) by him, as Yahawah () tzawah (commanded) Mashah (Moses).
