Deuteronomy 10 — English–Hebrew Parallel

At that ith (time) Yahawah () amar (spoke) to me, “Cut shanayam (two) lawachath (tables) of aban (stone) like the raashawan (first), and ilah (go up / offer) up to me onto the har (mountain), and ishah (make) an arawan (ark) of itz (wood).

I will kathab (write) on the lachath (tables) the dabarayam (words) that were on the raashawan (first) lachath (tables) which you shabar (broke), and you shall shawam (place / establish / appoint) them in the arawan (ark).”

So I ishah (make) an arawan (ark) of acacia itz (wood), and cut shanayam (two) lachath (tables) of aban (stone) like the raashawan (first), and ilah (go up / offer) up onto the har (mountain), having the shanayam (two) lachath (tables) in my yad (hand).

He kathab (write) on the lachath (tables), according to the raashawan (first) makathab (writing), the ishar (ten) commandments, which Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) to you on the har (mountain) out of the thawak (midst) of the ash (fire) in the yawam (day) of the qahal (assembly): and Yahawah () nathan (give) them to me.

I panah (turn) and yarad (came) down from the har (mountain), and shawam (place / establish / appoint) the lachath (tables) in the arawan (ark) which I ishah (make) made; and there they are as Yahawah () tzawah (commanded) me.

(The banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel) traveled from Baarathabanayayaiqan (Beeroth Bene Jaakan) to Mawasarah (Moserah). There Aharawan (Aaron) mawath (death), and there he was qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher); and Alaizar (Eleazar) his ban (son) ministered in the kahan (priest) office in his place.

From there they traveled to Gadagadah (Gudgodah); and from Gadagadah (Gudgodah) to Yatabathah (Jotbathah), a aratz (Earth/land) of nachalay (brooks) of mayam (Waters).

At that ith (time) Yahawah () set apart the shabat (tribe) of Laway (Levi), to nashaa (lift) the arawan (ark) of the barayath (covenant) of Yahawah (), to imad (stand) panayam (face) Yahawah () to sharath (minister) to him, and to barak (blessed) in his sham (name), to this yawam (day).

Therefore Laway (Levi) has no chalaq (portion) nor nachalah (inheritance) with his ach (brother/kinsman); Yahawah () is his nachalah (inheritance), according as Yahawah () your Alahayam () dabar (word / matter) to him.)

I imad (stayed) on the har (mountain), as at the raashawan (first) yawam (day), arabaiyam (forty) yamayam (days) and arabaiyam (forty) layal (nights): and Yahawah () shamai (hearken / hear) to me that paim (time) also; Yahawah () would not shachath (destroy) you.

Yahawah () amar (spoke) to me, “qawam (rise up), yalak (take) your masai (journey) panayam (face) the im (nation / people); and they shall bawaa (come) in and yarash (possess) the aratz (Earth/land), which I shabai (swear / take oath) to their ab (father) to nathan (give) to them.”

Now, Yashar-Al (Israel), what does Yahawah () your Alahayam () shaal (require) of you, but to yaraa (fear / be afraid) Yahawah () your Alahayam (), to yalak (walk) in all his darak (ways), and to ahab (love) him, and to ibad (servant) Yahawah () your Alahayam () with all your labab (heart) and with all your napash (soul),

To shamar (keep/guard) the matzawath (commandments) of Yahawah (), and his chaqah (statutes), which I tzawah (command) you this yawam (day) for your tawab (good / proper function)?

Behold, to Yahawah () your Alahayam () belongs shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens) and the shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens) of shamay (heavens), the aratz (Earth/land), with all that is therein.

Only Yahawah () chashaq (had) a delight in your ab (father) to ahab (love) them, and he bachar (chose) their zarai (seed) achar (other) them, even you above all imayam (peoples), as at this yawam (day).

Mawal (circumcise) therefore the iralah (foreskin) of your labab (heart), and be no more irap (neck).

For Yahawah () your Alahayam (), he is Alahayam () of Alahayam (), and Adawan () of adanayam (lords), the gadawal (very great/important/mighty) Al, the gabawar (mighty), and the awesome, who doesn't nashaa (lift) panayam (face), nor laqach (take / seize) shachad (reward).

He ishah (make) execute mashapat (justice) for the yathawam (fatherless) and alamanah (widow), and ahab (love) the foreigner, in nathan (give) him lacham (food) and shamalah (clothing).

Therefore ahab (love) the foreigner; for you were foreigners in the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt).

You shall yaraa (fear / be afraid) Yahawah () your Alahayam (); you shall ibad (servant) him; and you shall cling to him, and you shall shabai (swear / take oath) by his sham (name).

He is your thahalah (praise), and he is your Alahayam (), who ishah (make) done for you these gadawal (very great/important/mighty) and awesome things, which your iyan (eye) raah (see) seen.

Your ab (father) yarad (went) down into Matzarayam (Egypt) with shabaiyam (seventy) napash (soul); and now Yahawah () your Alahayam () has shawam (place / establish / appoint) you as the kawakabay (stars) of the sky for rab (multitude).
