1 The banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) again ishah (make) that which was rai (evil) in the iyan (eye) of Yahawah (); and Yahawah () nathan (give) them into the yad (hand) of the Palashathay (Philistines) arabaiyam (forty) shanah (years).
2 There was a achad (one) ayash (man / husband) of Tzaraih (Zorah), of the mashapachah (tribe / clan / family) of the Danay (Danites), whose sham (name) was Manawach (Manoah); and his ayashah (woman / wife) was iqar (barren), and didn't yalad (birth / begot).
3 The malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Yahawah () raah (see) to the ayashah (woman / wife), and amar (spoke) to her, “See now, you are iqar (barren), and don't yalad (birth / begot); but you shall harah (conceive), and yalad (birth / begot) a ban (son).
4 Now therefore please beware and shathah (drinks) no yayan (wine) nor strong shathah (drinks), and don't akal (eat) any tamaa (unclean) thing:
5 For, behold, you shall harah (conceive), and yalad (birth / begot) a ban (son); and no mawarah (razor) shall ilah (go up / offer) on his raash (head); for the nair (child) shall be a Nazirite to Alahayam () from the batan (womb): and he shall chalal (begin) to yashai (salvation) Yashar-Al (Israel) out of the yad (hand) of the Palashathay (Philistines).”
6 Then the ayashah (woman / wife) bawaa (come) and amar (spoke) her ayash (man / husband), amar (spoke), “A ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam () bawaa (come) to me, and his maraah (face) was like the maraah (face) of the malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Alahayam (), very awesome; and I didn't shaal (ask) him where he was from, neither did he nagad (tell) me his sham (name):
7 But he amar (spoke) to me, ‘Behold, you shall harah (conceive), and yalad (birth / begot) a ban (son); and now shakar (drink) no yayan (wine) nor strong shathah (drinks), and akal (eat) not any tamaah (unclean) thing; for the nair (child) shall be a Nazirite to Alahayam () from the batan (womb) to the yawam (day) of his mawath (death).’”
8 Then Manawach (Manoah) entreated Yahawah (), and amar (spoke), “Oh, Adawan (), please let the ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam () whom you did shalach (send) bawaa (come) again to us, and yarah (teach) us what we shall ishah (make) to the nair (child) who shall be yalad (birth / begot).”
9 Alahayam () shamai (hearken / hear) to the qawal (sound / voice) of Manawach (Manoah); and the malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Alahayam () bawaa (come) again to the ayashah (woman / wife) as she yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the shadah (field): but Manawach (Manoah), her ayash (man / husband), wasn't with her.
10 The ayashah (woman / wife) mahar (made) haste, and rawatz (ran), and amar (said) her ayash (man / husband), and amar (said) to him, “Behold, the ayash (man / husband) has raah (see / saw) to me, who bawaa (bring) to me that yawam (day).”
11 Manawach (Manoah) qawam (rise up), and yalak (went) achar (other) his ayashah (woman / wife), and bawaa (bring) to the ayash (man / husband), and amar (said) to him, “Are you the ayash (man / husband) who dabar (word / matter) to the ayashah (woman / wife)?” He amar (said), “I am.”
12 Manawach (Manoah) amar (said), “Now let your dabar (word / matter) happen. What shall the nair (child's) mashapat (way) of maishah (life) and mission be?”
13 The malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Manawach (Manoah), “Of all that I amar (spoke) to the ayashah (woman / wife) let her beware.
14 She may not akal (eat) of anything that yatzaa (go out / come out) of the gapan (vine), neither let her shathah (drinks) yayan (wine) or strong shathah (drinks), nor akal (eat) any tamaah (unclean) thing; all that I tzawah (commanded) her let her shamar (keep/guard).”
15 Manawach (Manoah) amar (spoke) to the malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Yahawah (), “Please, let us itzar (detain) you, that we may make a young goat ready for you.”
16 The malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Manawach (Manoah), “Though you itzar (detain) me, I won't akal (eat) of your lacham (bread); and if you will ishah (make) a burnt ishah (make), you must ishah (make) it to Yahawah ().” For Manawach (Manoah) didn't yadai (know) that he was the malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Yahawah ().
17 Manawach (Manoah) amar (spoke) to the malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Yahawah (), “What is your sham (name), that when your dabar (word / matter) happen, we may honor you?”
18 The malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Yahawah () amar (spoke) to him, “Why do you shaal (ask) about my sham (name), since it is palaay (wonderful)?”
19 So Manawach (Manoah) laqach (take / seize) the young goat with the meal manachah (offering), and ilah (go up / offer) it on the tzawar (rock) to Yahawah (). Then the angel ishah (make) a palaa (be wonderful / extraordinary / marvelous) thing as Manawach (Manoah) and his ayashah (woman / wife) raah (see) on.
20 For it happened, when the lahab (flame) ilah (go up / offer) up toward the sky from off the mazabach (altar), that the malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Yahawah () ilah (go up / offer) in the lahab (flame) of the mazabach (altar): and Manawach (Manoah) and his ayashah (woman / wife) raah (see) on; and they fell on their panayam (face) to the aratz (Earth/land).
21 But the malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Yahawah () didn't raah (see) to Manawach (Manoah) or to his ayashah (woman / wife) any more. Then Manawach (Manoah) yadai (knew) that he was the malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) of Yahawah ().
22 Manawach (Manoah) amar (spoke) to his ayashah (woman / wife), “We shall mawath (death) mawath (death), because we raah (see) seen Alahayam ().”
23 But his ayashah (woman / wife) amar (spoke) to him, “If Yahawah () were chapatz (pleased) to mawath (death) us, he wouldn't have laqach (take / seize) a burnt ilah (offering) and a meal ilah (offering) at our yad (hand), neither would he raah (see) shown us all these things, nor would at this ith (time) have shamai (hearken / hear) such things as these.”
24 The ayashah (woman / wife) yalad (birth / begot) a ban (son), and qaraa (called) him Shamashawan (Samson): and the nair (child) gadal (grew), and Yahawah () barak (blessed) him.
25 The rawach (spirit / wind) of Yahawah () chalal (began) to paim (move) him in Mahaneh Dan (Dan), between Tzaraih (Zorah) and Ashathaal (Eshtaol).
