Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Shamawaal (Samuel), “How long will you abal (mourn) for Shaawal (Saul), since I have maas (rejected) him from being malak (king) over Yashar-Al (Israel)? Malaa (fill) your qaran (horn) with shaman (oil), and yalak (go). I will shalach (send) you to Yashay (Jesse) the bayathahalachamay (bethlehemite); for I raah (see) provided a malak (king) for myself among his ban (son).”
Shamawaal (Samuel) amar (spoke), “How can I yalak (go)? If Shaawal (Saul) shamai (hearken / hear) it, he will harag (kill) me.” Yahawah () amar (spoke), “laqach (take / seize) a baqar (morning) with you, and amar (spoke), I bawaa (come) come to zabach (sacrifice) to Yahawah ().
Qaraa (called) Yashay (Jesse) to the zabach (sacrifice), and I yadai (will) show you what you shall ishah (make). You shall mashach (anoint) to me him whom I amar (said) to you.”
Shamawaal (Samuel) ishah (make) that which Yahawah () dabar (word / matter), and bawaa (come) to Bayath-Lacham (Bethlehem). The zaqanay (elders) of the iyar (city) came to meet him charad (trembling), and amar (spoke), “Do you bawaa (come) peaceably?”
He amar (spoke), “Peaceably; I bawaa (come) come to zabach (sacrifice) to Yahawah (). Qadash (set apart / make holy) yourselves, and bawaa (come) with me to the zabach (sacrifice).” He qadash (set apart / make holy) Yashay (Jesse) and his ban (son), and qaraa (called) them to the zabach (sacrifice).
It happened, when they bawaa (come) come, that he raah (see) at Alayaab (Eliab), and amar (spoke), “Surely Yahawah () mashayach (anointed one) is before him.”
But Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Shamawaal (Samuel), “Don't nabat (look) on his maraah (face), or on the gabah (height) of his qawamah (stature); because I have maas (rejected) him: for I see not as adam (man) raah (see); for adam (man) raah (see) at the iyan (eye) appearance, but Yahawah () raah (see) at the labab (heart).”
Then Yashay (Jesse) qaraa (called) Abayanadab (Abinadab), and ibar (pass over/through) him pass panayam (face) Shamawaal (Samuel). He amar (spoke), “Neither has Yahawah () bachar (chosen) this one.”
Then Yashay (Jesse) made Shamah (Shammah) to ibar (pass over/through) by. He amar (spoke), “Neither has Yahawah () bachar (chosen) this one.”
Yashay (Jesse) made shabai (seven) of his ban (son) to ibar (pass over/through) panayam (face) Shamawaal (Samuel). Shamawaal (Samuel) amar (spoke) to Yashay (Jesse), “Yahawah () has not bachar (chosen) these.”
Shamawaal (Samuel) amar (said) to Yashay (Jesse), “Are thamam (all) your nairayam (children) here?” He amar (said), “There shaar (remains) yet the youngest, and behold, he is raih (keeping) the tzaan (sheep).” Shamawaal (Samuel) amar (said) to Yashay (Jesse), “shalach (send) and laqach (take / seize) him; for we will not sabab (sit) down until he bawaa (bring) here.”
He shalach (send), and bawaa (come) him in. Now he was adamanay (ruddy), and im (with) of a yapah (beautiful) iyan (eye), and goodly to look on. “Yahawah () amar (spoke), qawam (rise up), mashach (anoint) him; for this is he.”
Then Shamawaal (Samuel) laqach (take / seize) the qaran (horn) of shaman (oil), and mashach (anointed) him in the qarab (among / near) of his ach (brother/kinsman): and the rawach (spirit / wind) of Yahawah () tzalach (came) mightily on Dawad (David) from that yawam (day) mail (top/above). So Shamawaal (Samuel) qawam (rise up) up, and yalak (went) to Ramah (Ramah).
Now the rawach (spirit / wind) of Yahawah () sawar (departed) from Shaawal (Saul), and an rai (evil) rawach (spirit / wind) from Yahawah () baith (troubled) him.
Shaawal (Saul's) ibaday (servants) amar (spoke) to him, “See now, an rai (evil) rawach (spirit / wind) from Alahayam () baith (troubles) you.
Let our Adawan () now command your ibad (servant) who are panayam (face) you, to baqash (seek) out a ayash (man / husband) who is a skillful nagan (player) on the kanawar (harp). It shall happen, when the rai (evil) rawach (spirit / wind) from Alahayam () is on you, that he shall nagan (play) with his yad (hand), and you shall be tawab (good / proper function).”
Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) amar (said) to his ibad (servant), “raah (see / saw) me now a ayash (man / husband) who can nagan (play) yatab (well), and bawaa (bring) him to me.”
Then achad (one) of the young men inah (answer / respond), and amar (spoke), “raah (see), I have seen a ban (son) of Yashay (Jesse) the bayathahalachamay (bethlehemite), who is skillful in nagan (playing), a gabawar (mighty) chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) of valor, a ayash (man / husband) of malachamah (war), bayan (between) in dabar (word / matter), and a thaar (comely) ayash (man / husband); and Yahawah () is with him.”
Therefore Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) shalach (send) malaakayam (messengers) to Yashay (Jesse), and amar (said), “shalach (send) me Dawad (David) your ban (son), who is with the tzaan (sheep).”
Yashay (Jesse) laqach (take / seize) a donkey loaded with lacham (bread), and a naad (bottle) of yayan (wine), and a young goat, and shalach (send) them by Dawad (David) his ban (son) to Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife).
Dawad (David) bawaa (bring) to Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife), and imad (stood) panayam (face) him. He ahab (love) him maad (greatly); and he became his armor bearer.
Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) shalach (send) to Yashay (Jesse), amar (said), “Please let Dawad (David) imad (stand) panayam (face) me; for he matzaa (has) found favor in my iyan (eye).”
It happened, when the rawach (spirit / wind) from Alahayam () was on Shaawal (Saul), that Dawad (David) laqach (take / seize) the kanawar (harp), and nagan (played) with his yad (hand): so Shaawal (Saul) was rawach (spirit / wind), and was tawab (good / proper function), and the rai (evil) rawach (spirit / wind) sawar (departed) from him.
