Yashawai's Prayer for His Disciples

The high-priestly prayer

John 17:1–26

On the night he was betrayed, Yashawai prays for himself, for those given him, and for all who will believe through their word — that they may be one.

John 17:1–26

Yashawai () amar (said) these alah (things), then nashaa (lifting) nashaa (up) his iyan (eyes) to shamayam (heaven), he amar (said), “Ab (Father), the time has bawaa (come). Paar (Glorify) your Ban (Son), that your Ban (Son) may also paar (glorify) you;

haa (even) as you nathan (give) him thaqap (authority) over all bashar (flesh), so he will nathan (give) iwalam (eternity) chay (life) to all whom you have nathan (give) him.

This is iwalam (eternal) chay (life), that they should yadai (know) you, the only tzadaa (true) Alahayam (), and him whom you shalach (sent), Yashawai () Mashayach ().

I hadarath (glorified) you on the aratz (Earth/land). I have hayah (came to pass) the pail (work) which you have nathan (give) me to do.

Now, Ab (father), hadarath (glorify) me with your own self with the kabawad (glory) which I had with you before the thabal (world) existed.

I galahaa (revealed) your sham (name) to the ban (son) whom you have nathan (give) me out of the thabal (world). They were yours, and you have nathan (give) them to me. They have natzar (kept) your dabar (word / matter).

Ithah (now / present moment) they have yadai (known) that all kal (every) whatever you have nathan (give) me are from you,

for the dabar (word / matter) which athah (you) have nathan (give) me I have nathan (give) to ham (they / them), and they qabal (received) them, and nakar (knew) for amath (truth) that I yatzaa (go out / come out) from you. They have aman (believe / have faith) that you shalach (sent) me.

I ithar (pray) for ham (they / them). I don’t ithar (pray) for the thabal (world), but for those whom you have nathan (give) me, for they are yours.

All dabar (word / matter) that are mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am hadarath (glorified) in them.

I am no more in the thabal (world), but these are in the thabal (world), and I am bawaa (bring) to you. Qadawash (Holy) Ab (father), natzar (keep) them through your sham (name) which you have nathan (give) me, that they may be achad (one), haa (even) as we are.

While I was with them in the thabal (world), I shamar (keep/guard) them in your sham (name). I have atzalathay (kept) those whom you have nathan (give) me. Zawalah (besides) of them is abadah (lost) lawalaa (except) the ban (son) of mahawamah (destruction), that the Scripture might be sawapath (fulfilled).

But now I bawaa (bring) to you, and I dabar (word / matter) these things in the thabal (world), that ham (they / them) may have my mashawash (joy) nathan (give) malaa (full) in themselves.

I have nathan (give) them your dabar (word / matter). The thabal (world) shanaa (hate) them, because they are not of the thabal (world), haa (even) as I am not of the thabal (world).

I matzalaa (pray) not that you would laqach (take) them from the thabal (world), but that you would atzalathay (keep) them from the rai (evil) achad (one).

They are not of the thabal (world) haa (even) as I am not of the thabal (world).

Qadash (set apart / make holy) them in your amath (truth). Your dabar (word / matter) is amath (truth).

As you shalach (sent) me into the thabal (world), haa (even) so I have shalach (sent) them into the thabal (world).

For their dabar (word / matter) I qadash (set apart / make holy) myself, that they themselves also may be qadash (set apart / make holy) in amath (truth).

Laa (NOT) for these only do I matzalaa (pray), but for those also who will aman (believe / have faith) in me through their dabar (word / matter),

that ham (they / them) may all be achad (one); haa (even) as athah (you), Ab (father), are in me, and I in athah (you), that they also may be achad (one) in us; that the thabal (world) may aman (believe / have faith) that athah (you) shalach (sent) me.

The kabawad (glory) which you have nathan (give) me, I have nathan (give) to them; that they may be achad (one), haa (even) as we are achad (one);

I in them, and athah (you) in me, that they may be shalam (perfected) into achad (one); that the thabal (world) may yadai (know) that athah (you) shalach (sent) me and ahab (love) them, haa (even) as you ahab (love) me.

Ab (father), I chapatz (desire) that ham (they / them) also whom you have nathan (give) me be with me where I am, that they may chazah (see) my kabawad (glory), which you have nathan (give) me, for you ahab (love) me before the mawasadah (foundation) of the thabal (world).

Tzadayaq (righteous) Ab (father), the thabal (world) hasn’t yadai (known) athah (you), but I nakar (knew) you; and these yawadain (knew) that you shalach (sent) me.

I made yadai (known) to them your sham (name), and will make it yadai (known); that the ahabah (love) with which you ahab (love) me may be in them, and I in them.”
