Daniel 3 — the prayer between verses 23 and 24 (Greek Daniel 3:24–45)
Daniel 3:19–23; Words of Azariah 1:1–22
Nabawakadanatzar heats the furnace seven times over and the three are thrown in bound — and there, walking in the midst of the fire, Azarias confesses the sins of his people and pleads the covenant with Abaraham, Yatzachaq and Yaiqab. The Hebrew Daniel jumps from verse 23 to 24; the Greek, Latin, Syriac and Ge'ez Daniel keep the prayer here.
19 Then was Nabawakadanatzar (Nebuchadnezzar) malaa (full) of chamaa (fury), and the tzalam (likeness) of his appearance was shanaa (hate) il (over) Shadarak (Shadrach), Mayashak (Meshach), and Ibadanagawaa (Abednego): therefore he inah (answer / respond), and commanded that they should azaa (heat) the athawan (furnace) shabaih (seven) times more day (than) it was usually azaa (heated).
20 He commanded certain gabar (mighty) gabarayan (men) who were in his chayal (army) to kapath (bind) Shadarak (Shadrach), Mayashak (Meshach), and Ibadanagawaa (Abednego), and to ramah (cast) them into the yaqad (burning) nawar (fiery) athawan (furnace).
21 Then these gabaray (men) were kapath (bound) in their pants, their tunics, and their mantles, and their other labawash (garments), and were ramah (cast) into the gaw (midst) of the yaqad (burning) nawar (fiery) athawan (furnace).
22 Therefore man (from) the malak (king) commandment was chatzap (urgent), and the athawan (furnace) yathayar (exceeding) azaa (hot), the shabayab (flame) of the nawar (fire) killed alak (those) gabaray (men) who nasaq (took) up Shadarak (Shadrach), Mayashak (Meshach), and Ibadanagawaa (Abednego).
23 These thalath (three) gabaray (men), Shadarak (Shadrach), Mayashak (Meshach), and Ibadanagawaa (Abednego), napal (fall / be cast down) down kapath (bound) into the gaw (midst) of the yaqad (burning) nawar (fiery) athawan (furnace).

1 And they halak (walked) in the thawak (midst) of the ash (fire), halal (praising) Alahayam (), and barak (blessing) Yahawah ().
2 Then Azarias imad (stood) up, and palal (prayed) on this manner; and pathach (opening) his pah (mouth) in the thawak (midst) of the ash (fire) amar (said),
3 Barak (Blessed) are athah (you), O Yahawah () Alahayam () of our ab (fathers): your sham (name) is adayar (worthy) to be halal (praised) and paar (glorified) for iwalam (evermore):
4 For athah (you) are tzadayaq (righteous) in all the kal (every) that you have done to us: yea, amath (truth) are all your maishah (works), your darak (ways) are yashar (upright), and all your mashapat (judgments) amath (truth).
5 In all the kal (things) that you have bawaa (brought) upon us, and upon the qadash (holy) iyar (city) of our ab (fathers), haa (even) Yarawashalam (), you have ishah (executed) amath (true) mashapat (judgment): for man (according) to amath (truth) and mashapat (judgment) ishah (did) you bawaa (bring) all these kal (things) upon us because of our chataah (sins).
6 For we have chataah (sin) and ishah (make) iwan (guilt/iniquity), bawaa (bring) from you.
7 In all kal (every) have we pashai (trespassed), and laa (NOT) shamai (obeyed) your tzawah (commandments), nor shamar (keep/guard) them, neither done as you have matzawah (commanded) us, that it might go yatab (well) with us.
8 Therefore all that you have bawaa (bring) upon us, and kal (every) kal (every) that you have done to us, you have done in amath (truth) mashapat (judgment).
9 And you ishah (did) nathan (deliver) us into the yad (hands) of lawless shanaa (enemies), most hateful forsakers of Alahayam (), and to an iwal (unjust) malak (king), and the most rai (wicked) in all the aratz (world).
10 And ithah (now / present moment) we cannot pathach (open) our pah (mouths), we are hayah (came to pass) a charapah (shame) and charapah (reproach) to your ibad (servant); and to them that shachah (worship) you.
11 Yet nathan (give) us not up wholly, for your sham (name)’s dabarahath (sake), neither parar (disannul) you your barayath (covenant):
12 And dayan (cause) not your chasad (mercy) to sawar (depart) man (from) us, for your dawad (beloved) Abaraham’s dabarahath (sake), for your ibad (servant) Issac’s dabarahath (sake), and for your qadash (holy) Yashar-Al (Israel)’s dabarahath (sake);
13 To whom you have dabar (word / matter) and awamar (promised), that you would rabah (multiply) their zarai (seed) as the kawakab (star) of shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens), and as the chawal (sand) that thaan (lies) upon the shapah (seashore).
14 For we, O Adanay (), are hawaa (become) less than any gaway (nation), and be atzalathay (kept) under this yawam (day) in all the aratz (world) because of our chataah (sins).
15 Neither is there at this panayam (face) shar (prince / ruler), or nabayaa (prophet/prophecy), or leader, or burnt ilah (offering), or zabach (sacrifice), or manachah (oblation), or qatarath (incense), or maqawam (place) to zabach (sacrifice) before you, and to hashathakachath (find) racham (show mercy / love).
16 Nevertheless in a contrite lab (heart) and a shapal (humble) rawach (spirit / wind) let us be ratzah (accepted).
17 Hayah (came to pass) as in the burnt ilawath (offerings) of ayal (rams) and par (bullocks), and hamah (great uproar) as in ishar (ten) thousands of chalab (fat) kabash (lambs): so nathan (give) our zabach (sacrifice) be in your panayam (face) this yawam (day), and grant that we may wholly go after you: for they shall laa (NOT) be bawash (confounded) that put their chasah (trust) in you.
18 And ithah (now / present moment) we ishah (make) you with all our lab (heart), we yaraa (fear) you, and baqash (seek) your panayam (face).
19 Pawat () us not to chasad (shame): but ishah (deal) with us after your lovingkindness, and man (according) to the rab (multitude) of your racham (mercies).
20 Natzal (Deliver) us also man (according) to your marvellous ibad (works), and nathan (give) kabawad (glory) to your sham (name), O Adanay (): and let all them that do your ibad (servants) rai (hurt) be bawash (ashamed);
21 And let them be kalam (confounded) in all their gabawarah (power) and might, and let their iz (strength) be shabar (broken);
22 And let them yadai (know) that athah (you) are Alahayam (), the only Alahayam (), and kabad (glorious) il (over) the kal (whole) aratz (world).
