Hannah's prayer
1 Samuel 2:1–10
Having received Shamawaal, Chanah exalts the God who raises the poor from the dust — the song Marayam's own would later echo.
1 Chanah (Hannah) palal (prayed), and amar (spoke): “My lab (heart) exults in Yahawah ()! My qaran (horn) is rawam (will lift up) in Yahawah (). My pah (mouth) is enlarged over my ayab (enemy), because I shamach (rejoice) in your yashawaih (salvation).
2 There is no one as qadawash (holy) as Yahawah (), For there is no one balathay (without) you, nor is there any tzawar (rock) like our Alahayam ().
3 “Dabar (word / matter) no more so gabah (exceeding) gabah (proudly). Don't let arrogance yatzaa (go out / come out) out of your pah (mouth), For Yahawah () is a Al of daih (knowledge). By him ilalawath (actions) are thakan (weighed).
4 “The qashath (bows) of the gabawar (mighty) men are chath (broken). Those who kashal (stumble / stagger) are armed with chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor).
5 Those who were shabai (full) have shakar (hired) themselves out for lacham (bread). Those who were raib (hungry) are satisfied. Yes, the iqar (barren) has yalad (birth / begot) shabai (seven). She who rab (has) many banayam (children) languishes.
6 “Yahawah () mawath (death), and chayah (makes) alive. He yarad (brings) down to shaawal (Sheol / afterlife), and ilah (go up / offer) up.
7 Yahawah () yarash (makes) poor, and ishar (makes) rich. He shapal (brings) low, he also rawam (will lift up) up.
8 He qawam (rise up) up the dal (poor) out of the ipar (dust). He rawam (will lift up) up the abayawan (needy) from the dunghill, To yashab (inhabit/dwell) them sit with nadayabayam (princes), and nachal (inherit) the kasaa (throne) of kabawad (glory). For the matzaqay (pillars) of the aratz (Earth/land) are Yahawah (). He has shayath (put / appoint / make) the thabal (world) on them.
9 He will shamar (keep/guard) the ragalay (feet) of his chasayad (holy) ones, but the rashai (wicked) shall be put to damam (silence) in chashak (darkness); for no ayash (man / husband) shall gabar (prevail) by kach (strength / mighty / power).
10 Those who rayab (strive) with Yahawah () shall be broken to pieces. He will raim (thunder) against them in the sky. “Yahawah () will dayan (judge) the apasay (ends) of the aratz (Earth/land). He will nathan (give) iz (strength / might / refuge) to his malak (king), and rawam (will lift up) the qaran (horn) of his mashayach (anointed one).”
