The king's second letter, written by Mordecai in the king's name
Greek Esther 16:1–24
The decree that undoes Aman's plot: the Yahawadayam (Jews) are declared to live by just laws and be children of the most high God, and the thirteenth of Adar becomes a day of gladness. Written by Mardocheus with the king's ring — see Esther 8:9–10.
The kabad (great) malak (king) Artexerxes to the sharay (princes) and pachawath (governors) of a hundred and shabai (seven) and twenty madayanawath (provinces) from Hadaw () to Kawash (), and to all our aman (faithful) subjects, shaal (greeting).
Rababah (Many), the more rab (often) they are honoured with the kabad (great) bounty of their chanawan (gracious) sharay (princes), the more proud they are waxen,
And endeavour to hurt not our subjects only, but not being able to yawalad (bear) rab (abundance), do take in yad (hand) to practise also against those that do them tawab (good / proper function):
And take not only thankfulness away from among matham (men), but also bawaa (lifted) up with the glorious dabaray (words) of lewd adam (persons), that were never tawab (good), they sabar (think) to escape the mashapat (justice) of Alahayam (), that raah (sees) all things and shanaa (hates) rai (evil).
Oftentimes also fair hamawalah (speech) of those, that are put in batach (trust) to manage their raih (friends)’ affairs, has dayan (judge) rababah (many) that are in thaqap (authority) to be partakers of naqay (innocent) dam (blood), and has enwrapped them in remediless ayad (calamities):
Beguiling with the falsehood and maramah (deceit) of their lewd disposition the innocency and goodness of sharay (princes).
Now you may raah (see / saw) this, as we have nagad (declared), not so marabah (much) by ancient histories, as you may, if you search what has been wickedly done of late through the pestilent behaviour of them that are unworthily sabayab (surrounding) in thaqap (authority).
And we must take care for the time to come, that our mamalakah (kingdom) may be shaqat (quiet) and peaceable for all matham (men),
Both by changing our purposes, and iwalam (eternity) shapat (judge / judgement) things that are evident with more thakan (equal) proceeding.
For Aman, a Macedonian, the ban (son) of Amadatha, being indeed a stranger from the Parasay (Persian) dam (blood), and rachayaqayan (far) distant from our goodness, and as a stranger qabalawan (received) of us,
Had so rachayaqayan (far) forth pawaq (obtained) the favour that we chawah (show) toward nashay (every) gaway (heathen / nation), as that he was asharaw (called) our ab (father), and was continually honoured of all the achar (other) adam (person) to the malak (king).
But he, not yawalad (bearing) his kabad (great) dignity, went about to deprive us of our mamalakah (kingdom) and chay (life):
Having by manifold and cunning maramah (deceits) chaqar (sought) of us the mahawamah (destruction), as baar (well) of Mardocheus, who yashach (saved) our chay (life), and continually procured our tawab (good), as also of blameless Asathar (), partaker of our mamalakah (kingdom), with their shalam (whole) gaway (nation).
For by these machashabah (means) he sabar (thought), hashathakachath (finding) us destitute of raih (friends) to have translated the mamalakah (kingdom) of the Paras (Persians) to the Macedonians.
But we hashathakachath (find) that the Yahawadayam (Jews), whom this rashai (wicked) wretch has malat (delivered) to nabai (utter) mahawamah (destruction), are no evildoers, but chayay (live) by most just thawarah (Torah / Instruction):
And that they be tap (children) of the most ilay (high) and most gabawar (mighty), chay (living) Alahayam (), who has sadar (ordered) the mamalakah (kingdom) both to us and to our progenitors in the most excellent manner.
Therefore you shall do baar (well) not to put in execution the saparayam (letters) shalach (sent) to you by Aman the ban (son) of Amadatha.
For he that was the worker of these things, is thalah (hanged) at the shair (gates) of Shawashan () with all his mashapachah (family): Alahayam (), who rules all things, speedily shalam (rendering) vengeance to him man (according) to his deserts.
Therefore you shall publish the parashagan (copy) of this agarath (letter) in all shamamaw (places), that the Yahawadayam (Jews) may freely chayay (live) after their own thawarah (Torah / Instruction).
And you shall aid them, that haa (even) the same yawam (day), being the thirteenth yawam (day) of the twelfth chadash (month) Adar (), they may be naqam (avenged) on them, who in the time of their iyan (affliction) shall shayam (set) upon them.
For Al Shaday () has dawar (turned) to mashawash (joy) to them the yawam (day), wherein the bachawaray (chosen) im (people) should have abad (perished).
You shall therefore among your solemn chag (feast/festival) atzalathay (keep) it an ilay (went up) yawam (day) with all mashathah (feasting):
That both now and hereafter there may be safety to us and the baar (well) affected Paras (Persians); but to those which do conspire against us a zakarawan (memorial) of mahawamah (destruction).
Therefore nashay (every) shairay (city) and maqawam (place) whatsoever, which shall not do man (from) to these things, shall be shachath (destroyed) without racham (show mercy / love) with ash (fire) and charab (sword), and shall be made not only unpassable for matham (men), but also most hateful to wild bahamahath (beasts) and fowls for ever.
