The Shema — the great commandment
Deuteronomy 6:4–9
Yahawah our God, Yahawah is one — and you shall love him with all your heart, and teach these words to your children, and write them on your doorposts.
4 Shamai (Hearken / hear), Yashar-Al (Israel): Yahawah () Alahayam (God); Yahawah () Ach (one):
5 WaAhabath (And you love) Ath (the entirety of) Yahawah () Alahayam (God) BaKal (in every) Lababak (your heart), WaBaKal (and in every) Napashak (your soul), WaBaKal (and in every) Maadak (and with all your might).
6 WaHayahaw (And came to pass) HaDabarayam (these words), HaAlah (these) AsharaAnakay (who/that I) MaTzawahak (command you) HaYawam (this day), Il-Lababak (over your heart);
7 WaShananatham (And you teach them diligently) LaBanayak (to your children), WaDabarath (and you talk) Bam (within him them) BaYashabathak (when you sit) BaBayathak (in your house), WaBaYalakathak (and when you walk) BaDarak (by way), WaBaShakabak (and when you lie down), WaBaQawamak (and when you rise up).
8 WaQasharatham (And you shall bind them) LaAwath (for an sign) Il-Yadak (on your hand), WaHayahaw (and they shall be the) LaTatawapapahath (point of) BayanaIyanayak (focus between your eye).
9 WaKathabatham (And you write them) Il-Mazawazahath (over door posts) Bayathak (your house), WaBaShairayak (and on your gates).
