Isaiah 5:1–7
A vineyard on a fruitful hill, fenced and planted with the choicest vine, that brought forth wild grapes: the house of Yashar-Al.
1 Let me shayar (sing) for my well yadayad (beloved) a shayar (song) of my dawad (beloved) about his karam (vineyard). My yadayad (beloved) had a karam (vineyard) on a very ban (son) qaran (horn).
2 He dug it up, gathered out its saqal (stones), natai (planted) it with the choicest vine, banah (build) a magadal (tower) in its thawak (midst), and also chatzab (cut) out a yaqab (winepress) therein. He qawah (gather/wait) for it to ishah (make) inabayam (grapes), but it ishah (make) baashayam (wild) grapes.
3 “Now, yashab (inhabit/dwell) of Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) and ayash (man / husband) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), please shapat (judge / judgement) between me and my karam (vineyard).
4 What could ishah (make) been done more to my karam (vineyard), that I ishah (make) not done in it? Madawai (for what reason?), when I qawah (gather/wait) for it to ishah (make) inabayam (grapes), ishah (make) it yield baashayam (wild) grapes?
5 Now I yadai (will) tell you what I will ishah (make) to my karam (vineyard). I will sawar (take) away its mashawakah (hedge), and it will be bair (eaten) up. I will paratz (break) down its gadar (wall) of it, and it will be trampled down.
6 I will shayath (put / appoint / make) it a wasteland. It won't be zamar (pruned) nor hoed, but it will ilah (go up / offer) shamayar (briers) and shayath (thorns). I will also tzawah (command) the ibayam (clouds) that they matar (rain) no matar (rain) on it.”
7 For the karam (vineyard) of Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies) is the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel), and the ayash (man / husband) of Yahawadah (Judah) his pleasant natai (plant): and he qawah (gather/wait) for mashapat (justice), but, behold, mashapach (oppression); for tzadaqah (righteousness), but, behold, a tzaiqah (cry) of distress.
